Anyone else think it's telling Meghan only had Doria at the wedding? No other family member!
None of her exes were there, Harry invited Chelsea & Cressida & both attended.
Before Harry Meghan & her stylist & bff Jessica Mulroany were inseparable, now they don't talk. Coincidently Jessica was part of the top echelons of Canadian society so did Meghan no longer need her friendship when she married the Prince of England?

Don’t agree with this one. I don’t believe he was ever the heir presumptive (I believe the last person to be heir presumptive was Queen Elizabeth II - as up until her father’s death she would have been replaced as his successor if he had gone on to have a male child. Now that gender doesn’t impact the succession order, I assume. she will also be the last ever heir presumptive in this a royal Family).

He was once 3rd in the line of succession and would now be 2nd if William hadn’t had 3 children but is 5th as William has had 3 children.

The heir (not presumptive) at the time of Harry and Meghan wedding was the then Prince Charles, who in fact did have a much smaller wedding (albeit his 2nd wedding) himself whilst heir.

Oops I think I should have said now that she doesn’t impact the succession order.

Well I'm sure Harry said, I'm still on good terms with Cressida & Chelsy I'd like them to share in our happiness.. Megs has said in the past she was still on great terms with her ex hubby & the chef she dumped for Harry, so why not have them there too? Unless the "get on great" part was all lies?

OP, c'mon. Surely this 'inviting her ex' business is odd no matter how you spin it. Even if she was good friends with her exes, it doesn't mean she needs to have them at her wedding, or thay they'd come even if invited.

Surely, Harry inviting his two ex loves is the unusual thing here and Meghan deserves some praise (or ridicule?) for accepting it, compared to what mumsnetters would say had it been a liked or a regular person. I can imagine what the majority of posts would be if a mumsnetter said that her husband invited her exes to their wedding.

Are you now saying she should have tried to revenge by inviting hers too? Wouldn't that be petty? Wouldn't you have crucified her for inviting an ex if she did.

I have never been to a wedding where exes attended. Only one of my friends still sees their old schoolfriends and it's been like that since we were all 30 something.

She's close to her mum, why does that not count for anything? Her father's family are toxic dumpster fire, so why should she invite them? She did want to invite her niece but the RF staff pressured her not to and she regrets it. Not everyone has a perfect or large family and you shouldn't have to invite anyone toxic to your wedding who you believe doesn't have your best interests at heart.

Her dad didn’t sell stories about her before her wedding, and didn’t say anything much about her after it except that she was ignoring him and couldn’t be contacted. He couldn’t go anyway as he had a heart attack. Sounds absolute BS that she was told not to ask her cousin, what on earth would be the reason? KP has denied it.
It really does strike me as odd that she didn’t seem to have any childhood friends there, or more of her mother’s side of the family at least.
