Do we all think that's funny? Or should Harry have just sucked up having his parentage being questioned his entire life and not let him bother him?

I don't think it was ever funny in the slightest. But I don't know why they didn't just have tests and put the whole issue to bed.

None of the family ever believed he wasn't Charles`s so a test wasn't necessary.
If they did do a test, they're not going to release it to the public so what would be the point of it?

Charles should have grown a pair and spoke out about the media speculation around Harry's parentage.......the fact he didn't and Harry had to face front page articles comparing him to James Hewitt speaks volumes about the sort of dad he is.

Charles should have grown a pair and spoke out about the media speculation around Harry's parentage......

And lend credence to the nonsense?

Anyway, anyone with eyes and half a brain cell can see that Harry is Charles' son and Prince Philip's grandson. The family resemblance has only increased with age.

I think the wider context is the key.

From the extract I read it was directly after Chalres had visited a home in which one of the residents claimed to be the Prince of Wales. Charles had joked ith him that he couldn't be, because Chales was the PoW but the resident wouldn't have it and that Charles was the imposter.

It was regarding this event, that Charles joked he might not be Harry and William's dad (and that the resident might be).

This.

Just because there’s a grain of truth in the story doesn’t mean it’s all true.

Exactly. What would speaking out do? Didn’t it work well when dimwit Harry told the press to lay off Meghan. And it is very obvious that they are related, Harry looks more like Charles than William.

I’ve quite enjoyed reading this thread, the reaching. I see the joke as more of an “I’m Spartacus” no “I’m Spartacus” he wasn’t questioning that Harry was not the son of the Price of Wales but rather who is the Prince of Wales.
