The royal family

Harry was totally ill advised when writing this book

I'm actually shocked at the level of personal detail this book seems to go into. He seems to have shared every personal moment and detail in his life and his families' life.

I can't work out if the publisher or his Management have massively taken advantage of his vulnerability in advising him to write so personally or if he is genuinely that bitter and naive that he feels it was the right thing to do.

There are meant to be two more books, what other revelations are there? Whilst it's fascinating to read (yes I am hypocrite as I do find it interesting) I can't help but think he will live to regret doing this and it will all blow up in his face. Considering he hates the tabloid press it feels so tabloidy (I don't think that's a word but you get what I mean).

I get the impression that neither of them listen to advice from anyone. They’ve dismissed a number of advisors, clearly don’t like what they hear from those who know better, including the Royal family and much-trusted courtiers.
They’re hellbent on getting as much money as they possibly can from screwing the family, it’s sick and disgraceful.
Oh, and they’d like to reconcile when they’ve finished their 4 book deal.
Like hell that happen now I imagine.

No
Harry wil be keeping his powder dry re the rest of them

Make up your mind. Either he’s thrown everything he’s got at this or he’s keeping his powder dry. It can’t be both.

He signed up for the four book deal and the Netflix series at the height of his anguish following departure from the Firm in early 2020. So all of this was right for him then. Advance money was paid and spent. There is no way back.

Relations improved somewhat in the last two years but it seems the wound is still there albeit not as deep as in 2020. To throw the book out now seems utterly careless and ill advised but thats just timing. The deal was done.

Agree that the book was written and there was no way back.

His interviews will be more interesting as to where his mind is at.

Will he double down and emphasise his points with bitterness, resentment and contempt?

Or will he be reflective and conciliatory.

Will he be humble or gracious - looking to move on in a private collaborative way?

Or will he be demanding one-sided public apologies?

Depends on his intentions.

I think everything he has come out with is all things he has been threatened with, blackmailed with in the past, so it's a fk u to those who think they have something on him that they can use him for. He is taking back control of his life. Way to go Harry, screw the lot of them. His mum is dead because of the world media. He owes no one a damn thing.

The idea that Harry's getting it all out there so the RF and the press no longer have anything to hold against him would be interesting if there was any way it could be true. But if that was his motive then there's two big things he's missed.

Firstly by presenting all of this personal information that's never been in the public domain, he's now given a license for the 'other side of the story' to be exposed, which could be very embarrassing or even more damaging for him. Eg. What did he say in response to KC when told he couldn't bring Meghan to Balmoral on the day the Queen died.

Secondly, Harry's clearly not put everything out there - it sounds like he's deliberately missed out any incidents or behaviour which reflect badly on him. So I'm sure the RF still have plenty of dirt they could leak on him should they be so inclined.

I agree plus I suspect they have stuff on Meghan , including the bullying report .

I suspect he doesn’t listen to advisers. Just sycophants and over therapied hugger types, of which the US has plenty. Also he’s obviously motivated by money. He’s not the brightest and a vulnerable person despite his age.

I agree, I suspect some people questioned whether he really wanted to put in some of the awful bits, and he insisted he wanted to “tell the world his truth” <cue misty-eyed victim face>

Blossomtoes · 07/01/2023 16:28

It would be very interesting if the bullying report now found its way into the public domain.

Jennybeans401 · 07/01/2023 16:34

2 more books!!! What more can be said. He's not even old!

Glindara · 07/01/2023 16:43

PH is scheduled for a live interview on Tuesday eve on The Late Show in US - that will be interesting…..

There is also a pre-recorded Good Morning America interview going out on Mon am (alongside the CBS and ITV on Sunday)

Who do you believe has threatened to reveal how he lost his virginity? How about his frost-bitten knob? What power do those stories yield that they can be used as a threat? How about the singing seals? And if Harry's version of events is to be believed where's the threat to him in the dog-bowl story being revealed.

It makes zero sense.

Well if he thinks that what he has disclosed reflects well on him he's even more lacking in judgement than I thought, but I agree the palace will almost certainly have details he'd prefer not to be made public

Whether they'll be leaked is anyone's guess, but it would fit the RF's M.O. and wouldn't surprise me at all

Yes true! What I should have said he's included things that he doesn't think reflect poorly on him - and yet they do! So imagine what could be shared that he himself has deemed might be reputationally damaging!

newnamethanks · 07/01/2023 19:06

@debbrianna thanks for clarifying about the court case. I, too, look forward to a few tabloids bring hit where it hurts. Doubt PH revelations will affect it then.

newnamethanks · 07/01/2023 19:10

Ohhhh. Does the ITV interview time clash with Happy Valley? Prince H, you are way down the list.

crazeekat · 07/01/2023 22:09

Anyone in the world who was with him when he did anything deemed inappropriate can threaten him or blackmail him. Christ at one point the man wasnt able to fart without someone phoning the sun to say what it smelt like.
The old woman he had sex with can threaten him no end with that happened between them. Anything at all the man does can be made into a lie from
Anyone including his dad and brother. He can't do right for doing wrong.
