@ClandestineResponse From the sounds of everything that’s been quoted, it does sound like a form of catharsis. I believe that’s what private diaries are for and not tell-all memoirs. Publishers don’t always care about their client’s mental health and it seems as though Harry needs all the help he can get. He has the means to seek help so I hope he’s getting it.

Harry probably has a lot of grievances, whether others believe it’s valid or not, but they need to be untangled through counselling and not aired out in public where it will remain for years to come. This might cause more harm than good to his mental health the more he shares publicly as he won’t like everything that he reads nor can he control what will be written about him which will only add to more media distrust. It’s just going to spiral.

It feels like he needs a private sanctuary to air out his worries and woes and seek qualified help. The more I’ve seen and read on these recent threads, the more I get worried so I do hope Harry has professional mental health experts by his side.

I don't object to the seal singing, spiritual medicine, tree hugging and the rest but I feel sorry for him that he does not realise that it is hippie Californian cliché stuff which Meghan copied, not invented. I don't actually think he gets that and I don't think she wanted him to know. He thinks that she must be a uniquely gifted medicine woman. Now that he is living over there, hopefully somebody will tell him.

There are sexual practices discussed to death in California to the point of becoming cliché which Meghan has introduced to him and it seems, claimed credit for inventing. Obviously, the Engleson family are kabbalists and she may have learned it from Trevor back in the day.

It must be a wakeup call for a guy like Harry used to a quickie behind the pub or a weekend tryst along The Strip. I cannot write about it on MN for obvious reasons but it was always out there for the taking, for everyone. It takes discipline to master it and as with all hidden knowledge, gives one a certain power over the uninitiated (which is at the root of understanding how their relationship happened).

I've tried very hard not to get drawn into these threads but ...

Can you all draw the line at mocking how people grieve or carry on having a relationship which a loved one who has died.

'Continuing bonds' is a well established thinking in grief and seen as a healthier way of moving forward than maybe we did in the past.

We all find ways to connect which may seem strange to others but have meaning to us.

I lost both parents at a young age, and my teenage child. I don't have locks of their hair but I would be devastated if anyone thought it was something to be ridiculed.

Maybe copy some of these comments onto the bereavement threads and see how they are received.

I have heard the seals singing around Lindisfarne, when i was walking alone across the causeway. I can see why she might sing back, it's a very unearthly sound! Harry does seem to engage in a lot of magical thinking about his mother and wife, so it must help him cope.
