“But I want my father and brother back, the ball’s in their court”

How does he work out that the ball is in their court? That’s not how the saying works. The ball is only in their court when the other person has done everything they can to fix the situation, Harry has not done that.

HarrysTales · 06/01/2023 08:21

Him saying this just shows how embarrassingly unintelligent he is. I don't know how Meghan bares him.

diamondpony80 · 06/01/2023 08:25

I guess the family must be quite relieved there’s nothing there that will harm the monarchy. Charles must be sad though that his son chooses to be a source of tabloid fodder just to make money, when he would’ve been well looked after by the royal family. All these petty grievances should never have seen the light of day. Harry must really think that his is the only dysfunctional family in the world.

CoffeandTiaMaria · 06/01/2023 08:29

God help us, this is the first of a 4 book deal! Wtf is he going to disclose in the next one? And Megain is allegedly writing her memoirs.
He’s clearly a dopehead, uses coke, week and goodness knows what else, no wonder he’s delusional and paranoid as well as a vindictive bully with no sense of shame.

CoffeandTiaMaria · 06/01/2023 08:31

And still not a word from Meghan, she must be rubbing her hands with glee 🤬

MrZogsSexWax · 06/01/2023 08:35

I hope H&M are invited to the Coronation and that William and Harry have to swear an allegiance to The Crown in the same way that Prince Philip had to at the Queen’s Coronation. William wouldn’t mind as he knows the Crown will be his but if Harry swears allegiance then he has to do what the Monarch commands and that is to STFU.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 06/01/2023 08:35

I'm channeling Hugh Grants old squeeze for some strange reason from the depths of my troubled mind misspent wasting time on all this stuff.

She's denied being the the older woman in the field.

Refreshmentsanyone · 06/01/2023 08:46

@Sladurche I assumed the Harold nickname was the “in joke” between him and William referencing The Battle of Hastings 1066. William versus Harold.

Anniefrenchfry · 06/01/2023 08:52

I don’t think harry has been happy for a long time, I think this was always simmering under the surface, the resentment at not being first born. But I don’t think he was as unhappy as he must be now.

meghan has enabled and validated his feelings, and we are where we are.

he clearly lacks intelligence, and I would assume has a relatively low iq.

harry has inadvertently confirmed there is something in the Meghan bullying claims. Clearly what she said to Kate wasn’t a first, or William wouldn’t have reacted as he did, it was the straw that broke the camels back and he’s put her in her place.

Her attitude to others was also what caused him to go see harry and ultimately their scuffle.

I think for me the takeaways are, harry lacks intelligence, he is not smart, he has always been resentful, entitled and self absorbed, Meghan has validated his feelings of resentment and encouraged him to fight back , and behind closed doors, she is rude and abrasive to people.

I doubt any of that is a surprise to anyone though.

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 05:22

@oakleaffy you're right, he needs to find peace with his background. He should have been matched with a young blonde horsey aristo. Loved him & Chelsea together, they looked like they had so much fun & were in love. Same for Cressida Bónas & Florence St George. All these girls understood the royalty, what it actually entailed & ran a mile when things got serious... But had it worked out I think things would be very different & he would be happily in the rf fold.

So he should have married a white girl? Woman of colour not good enough then. You horrible piece of work.

Bollindger · 06/01/2023 08:56

Imagine it.
Harry and Meghan all set up with the camera to record the second the book released, all the security so they could capture the text messages.
However premature bookulation.

No texts as the RF knows it would be revealed as clickbait.
Plus Buckingham Palace put up . Own goal Harrold.

She’s not really a horsey type either is she?

THisbackwithavengeance · 06/01/2023 09:17

The whole thing is such a shame. Harry and Meghan would've been such fantastic members of the RF with the whole "Fab 4" thing.

And now he is reduced to selling revelations about his private life in order to make money? He must be fucking desperate.

Ive said this in numerous threads: why on earth didn't H&M get their heads down and ignored the negative press (people forget that Sarah Ferguson and Camilla got press drubbings that were far worse then anything that was meted out to Meghan, even Saintly Kate got a hard time initially). The press would've got tired of it and then they could've lived relevant lives as part of the RF and really made a difference.

Now what are they doing? Selling tittle tattle to Netflix and playing polo.

I suspect what @oakleaffy is talking about is class and culture. The kind of upper class/ aristo women referred to come from a background where they would have known the score — which is that primarily these royal marriages are about producing heirs and fulfilling regal duties while looking right/ appropriately dressed and saying nothing of any importance. You have to subjugate yourself to the institution.

There was a good article I read that made the point that Meghan probably assumed that because she and Harry and the RF all spoke the same language they all shared the same culture. They don't. She comes from a privileged Californian background and a culture of extreme individualism and touchy-feely psychobabble in which people ruthlessly pursue their own agendas. The RF is at the opposite end of the spectrum, where members are expected to be part of a team, go out in public and behave in very regulated ways, not talk about themselves and basically serve an institution. That's why Harry's previous girlfriends, knowing what was in store for them, ducked out. Not everything is about colour. It's culture.

When you look at Harry pre Meghan (despite how unhappy he now says he was) he looked SO happy. Always.

It's desperately sad that he chose her and now appears to be so much in thrall that his life is imploding

He did, especially with Chelsea, they were a gorgeous couple. Just young, carefree, enjoying life & not giving a fuck. He looked ridiculously happy!

It specifically said blonde so that rules out pretty much anyone of colour. As for the Royal Family being the opposite of privileged and ruthlessly pursuing their own agendas is the most laughable thing I've heard.

Colour has nothing to do with it. A woman from an aristocratic background or umc like Kate would have understood the British royal family inside out & respected it. Like Chelsea & Cressida . They knew precisely what the role entailed & hotfooted it. Colour has nothing to do with background. Harry had lots of aristocratic friends who were girls but none wanted to be royals as they were educated enough in what the role actually is. Megan wanted the title, security & all the trappings of being a royal without doing any of the work involved!

Bullshit. You said blonde. Very specific in who should fit the role. Don't pretend you're not a sick nasty bigot. He probably looked happy with Chelsea because she wasn't receiving racist abuse off the press.

If the Royal family only suits stuck up white aristocrats then it's not fit for purpose. some of the 'peasants 'in this country have achieved the greatest things. Why not Them get represent us?
Good on Harry for exposing that bunch of awful people.

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 10:03

@Rockybooboo that was his type! It was well documented in the press. If he haf had a serious brunette gf she would have been mentioned too but he didn't!

My daughter is mixed race with blonde hair. How does hair colour have anything to do with skin colour?

pattihews · 06/01/2023 10:06

Cressida Bonas and Chelsea whatevernameis were both very conspicuously blonde. That was the kind of woman who caught his eye before. Meghan came along.

And here's another one I hadn't heard! With the same background & social circle as his previous aristo blondes!

Apparently , Meghan wasn’t the only woc he dated.

JoyPeaceHealth · 06/01/2023 10:13

It's true, he did always look so happy with Chelsea, if only he'd stepped down at that point. It would have been a shock but I don't think there would have been books and series and podcasts et cetera. He could have been a much loved member of the family but not the institution. But, he cheated on Chelsea so good for her for moving on.

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 10:18

@JoyPeaceHealth he could have had a lovely life with Chelsea in Africa continuing to work for the crown. He used say it was his spiritual home. Good on her for choosing her freedom though. And damn him for bringing her up in his book however complimentary, she's married with a new baby & now catapulted back into the media again.
