The Sun have got hold of a copy of the book that was accidently put on sale in Spain. They are clearly skimming it as fast as possible with a translator. They are reporting that W&H begged KC not to marry C, and that he thought she was leaking stories to the press.

Bloody hell.

This is basically the fall out from how his life was shattered by the death of his Mum. He’s a troubled man. No winners in this sad fight.

SnowlayRoundabout · 05/01/2023 14:55

I wonder if he has realised that at this moment Meghan is making notes for her own tell-all post divorce autobiography, where she is detailing how dreadful she felt when she saw the way H looked when she talked about the curtsey, and how she begged him not to say those awful things about his family but he wouldn't listen to her.

Mañanarama · 05/01/2023 14:55

I really, really hope they don’t attend the coronation. They’re going to get booed so badly, the occasion mustn’t be about them.

Sighhhhh · 05/01/2023 14:56

All of this media drivel over an institution that has no real meaning. They are not inherently better or even more intelligent than “their subjects”. Ridiculous.

GoingOnce · 05/01/2023 14:57

Nobody gains from any of this. It’s so awful. Why are the media even printing it? Well, I know why but I truly wish they would ignore it now. It’s so intensely private and embarrassing and just mudslinging on a very public scale. We are watching a furious and deranged man have a public meltdown and feasting on the scraps of gossip. Harry won’t feel better after this. He is a very unwell man and it is quite sickening now that publishes are printing this and newspaper editors are backing it up. These are real people, a real family. It’s abhorrent that the royals don’t have any right to reply and just have to watch it play out and say nothing. Can you imagine this in your own family? It is so wrong. I feel sorry for all of them except Meghan. If she really cared for him she would have begged him not to write the book and would just be looking after his well-being, getting him away from all this.

MissMarpleRocks · 05/01/2023 14:57

40 units you say Vera? To get to 96 years of age? I need go up my drinking skills. I’ve seen those royal glasses & they are bloody small. Think I need 4 of them to make one wine glass that I drink with my evening meal.

I can believe that W & H were upset when Charles decided to remarry. Friend remarried 14/15 years after their spouse. The dcs - in their late 20’s/early 30’s were furious. And they had met about 10 years after spouse’s death.

PicturesOfDogs · 05/01/2023 14:58

My Twitter feed seems like a mixed bag tbf.

Lots of mockery of Harry sat in the dog bowl with his pearls scattered around him, but also lots of people saying William clearly has a temper and they were right to get far away, William is a bully etc.

People who have picked a side will stay with their side. It’s the neutrals who are up for grabs in this

Who cares, it will be great to watch to see what happens. Bet if they/he goes it will be through the back door and up in the gods.

Is Andy going or what? That would be so much worse wouldn't it?

The divorce will be a messy one…

I'd rather wait until getting my hands on the actual book than trust the trash media, but if all these advance pieces are true it'll all be a bit of a challenge for the more unbalanced supporters

No doubt we'll be assured Harry was "forced" to do it, that we're all reading the Mail and are all racist anyway, but it really can't be an easy position to support any more

I think you are alone there. You don't need to buy the book, and read and endure hundreds of pages of self pity and victimhood, the best extracts will be in every paper around the world daily for the next fortnight. Together with clinical psychs giving their professional opinion on the state of his mental well being at the time of writing said book.

Harry has totally exposed himself, what a terrible inescapable error to have made. This is not so much his truth, as the unravelling and ultimately his global fall from grace, mission completed. I have such sympathy for the children caught up in this psycho drama and wonder where this leaves them?
They have to carry this burden now, so it appears Harry didn't break the cycle after all....

donquixotedelamancha · 05/01/2023 14:58

Why is he doing this, its nuts!

He's lived his entire life with access to more money than any of us can imagine and every single person he meets deferring to him; he has an emotionally stunted dad and a loving mum who died.

It may not speak well of his character doing this but receiving hundreds of millions to slag off your family is a perfectly rational choice for someone who values wealth and priviledge over human ties.

SnowlayRoundabout · 05/01/2023 14:59

He really is a steaming hypocrite - all that show of mourning for his grandmother, while knowing that he was planning something that would have caused her immense distress. It's not as if he can claim to have been holding this back till she died, this book would still have come out if she was still with us.

Unsure33 · 05/01/2023 14:59

So he gets into a fight with William and immediately phones his therapist. That’s odd because it completely contradicts what he says about help with mental help previously and the fact he said he did not know how to get help for Meghan . They are getting tied up in lies .

PicturesOfDogs · 05/01/2023 14:59

Apparently penguin were fuming about last nights leak, and had launched an enquiry into it.

I wonder what they’re thinking now…

Irisheyesareshining · 05/01/2023 14:59

The best things in life don’t cost a thing , he’s going to regret selling his story 😞

I’m starting to wonder, with his red hair and penchant for being a bit gobby, whether Harry’s real mum is in fact Sarah Ferguson.

#startthatrumour

Nah, Sarah Ferguson seems to me to be not that bright and a terrible judge of character so there’s that but also a warm person without an ounce of malice in her.

I'm seeing quite the opposite so there you go.

I won't quote them, but I am.

You can link? I just looked at trending and scrolled through the hundreds of tweets and didn’t see anything positive. I’m sure there are some, but you likely need to search specifically

i don’t think there is any doubt the overwhelming comments in Twitter are negative to harry , it’s there for us all to see.

gogohmm · 05/01/2023 15:01

He's in some sort of self destruct mode! I knew he wasn't overly bright but I can only assume now he is a complete fool, or hasn't got the intellect to realise his so called "advisors" are just after the money.

Coxspurplepippin · 05/01/2023 14:51

She looked well on it at 96!

My DGM looked fantastic right up until her death at 95. She also got though the best part of a bottle of Tanquerays and a bottle of Remy Martin a week.

Alcohol makes a good preservative, I reckon.

But so sad that the Queen Mother (who really did like a drink, from many, many accounts) died so prematurely. Only 101.

What hashtags are you seeing because I'm only seeing negative ones.

SnowlayRoundabout · 05/01/2023 15:03

I've seen quite a few posts on Twitter expressing astonishment at William's forbearance in dog-bowling him only once,

Begoniasforever · 05/01/2023 15:03

Harry has totally exposed himself, what a terrible inescapable error to have made

the old saying applies. Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and prove it beyond all doubt.

I just don’t think harry can recover from this. The backlash is beyond huge. And it’s backlash to him, not the royal family . If anything, William giving harry a shove for being a wanker has made him go up in the populations esteem, not down.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 05/01/2023 15:04

I’m confused - was it Kate who made Meghan cry at being upset at being called nappy brain, either while pregnant or just after giving birth? Or did Meghan make Kate cry by calling her nappy brain. I find this the weirdest thing he’s shared. Just why?

I don't understand it either. And I assumed she'd call it diaper brain.

Cut down in her prime, bless her.

(Reminds me of the scene in Derry girls with the nun)
