Well, I didn't know the woman of course but as a near contemporary who saw the whole thing unfold, I think she would be very sad indeed that her boys are at this awful pass. Whatever anyone thinks of her, I've never heard her described as an unloving mother.

The press are not going away anytime soon, of course the RF had to have some kind of working relationship with them. They learnt many years ago that if they don't try at least to have an agreement and understanding - then everyone was free game even the young children.

So the RF have done their best to manage 'the beast' and I don't believe the leaking stories thing.

I haven't seen racism in the press aimed at Meghan. I am sure if that was the case it would be police matter, under investigation and would not need anyone further to intervene.

I understand Meghan was angry about the criticism she received about her constant use of private jets and the baby shower, being rude to the staff (and having record numbers of staff leaving as a result) Most of the public did not agree with her diva behaviour either, so it is not clear to me why the RF should defend her excesses/demands and rudeness?!

The whole situation is awful. Harry isn't too bright and has been caught up in a spiral of media-fueled self-pity. Marrying Meghan just gave the media more ammunition. I suspect that the Royal Family will survive fine; not so sure about Harry.
