He was trending on Twitter this morning so I had a look at his tweets. One particular one about Louis was bang out of order. He seems a nasty bitter person.

He’s career is over though. He backed the wrong horse. He has a pathetic little column in yahoo and still with bazaar but he has no access to the royals and what do M and H do now? So yeah he probably is quite bitter about it all. I doubt M and H leak to him any more either.

Ohnonevermind · 01/01/2023 11:50

Omid’s companies house accounts aren’t too impressive either.

oh well

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/01/2023 12:35

Mr Knauf then doubled down, with his representative saying: ‘The Duchess of Sussex and Jenny Afia contacted Mr Knauf in writing, asking him to assist in the preparation of their legal case.’

If he's telling the truth then I guess that answers my point around whether he has anything in writing to disprove the "other side's" claims, in which case they'd probably resort to the kind of legalese Serenster helpfully explained - anything, in fact, to avoid being seen to have lied yet again

Not reading Twitter I'm not familiar with what Scobie said about Louis, Gilmorehill, but frankly nothing would surprise me from this grotesque.
What does surprise me, with someone so keen on claiming the inside track on others, is that so little appears to be known about the person themselves

bakalava · 01/01/2023 12:40

The only thing I have heard about Omid (and I do not know whether there is an ounce of truth to it) is that he was at Eton in William's year (but not friends with him and often subbed by that group) and that he mentored Harry there at some point and formed a bond. Also that he used his other parent's surname in those days rather than Scobie because he is of Scottish & Iranian heritage.

Personally, I think he was created in a cgi software and magically brought to life (well, for short periods of time). There is very little live footage of him doing spontaneous things.

He didn’t go to Eton. He went to Magdalene College and then A levels at Cherwell.

What did he say about Louis?

bakalava · 01/01/2023 12:47

Was he not there for a really brief period of time? (Tried it out but didn't like it?)
Otherwise, i guess that settles it.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/01/2023 12:54

I had to smile about the "mentoring Harry" thing, bakalava, but then it would match his usual pretence about having personal experience of all these things and people. He's not alone in that of course, but in his case it's so badly done as to be painful

As are his ridiculous Instagram images, carefully posed to showcase his designer watch, his designer phone, his designer trainers and his designer ruddy dog - as if such things lend him a measure of credibility Hmm

Apparently he tweeted something less than complimentary about Louis at the PJ. Later deleted.

@Puzzledandpissedoff Yes, Om is a sad case. He is keen to associate himself with Meghan rather than Harry these days while she seems determined to keep him at arm's length (publicly, at least).
The Tig is the blogging equivalent of all of that fluff, only written in more flowery language with much greater targeted effort to impress. Now and again, I come across little snippets and I LOL at the fakery and thirstiness.

I am told he was there for two or three years but got kicked out before the GCSE years because it was not going well. He then transferred to the local school.

Princes are obviously protected from all of that!

wow. thats a low blow

I think the RF have taken a leaf out of H & M’s book and are paying things back in kind.

Good on them.

That is the point of IG, you are not there to sell misery.
Do you also LOL at the fakery and thirstiness' of the Cambridges Youtube channel. It's all about how 'natural and normal' they are. I think their Boden like advert may have featured. Don't know, I saw an advert of it, but never watch it myself.

bibbif · 31/12/2022 17:11

I find it funny that people still think the Royals keep quiet & don't say anything!

They talk non stop via their 'source'.

notanotheroneagain · 01/01/2023 13:30

Meghan’s lawyer’s statement does not however state that he wasn’t approached personally by Meghan or Harry to see if he would be willing to give evidence for them.

This makes no sense at all. They already won the case. Why would they re-open it.

Jenny says it very clear. Jason was not subpoenad. The court allowed his evidence because he came with only part of the communication. It turned out that MM had the rest of the emails/txt - which Jason had not anticipated as the royal communications gets automatically deleted (well at least for MM and not for Jason).

The most that could have happened is that Shillings, upon seeing that he was the star witness could have only asked after the reopening of the case that he submits some communication - which didn't because he was indeed taking sides. If MM did not have the rest of the comms, she would have lost.

Jason could not have done any of this without William's approval or say so. Watch the following clips.

I see the papers keep leaving out that Jason worked for William and instead lead with him working for H&M. William is the boss at KP, so his employee (who turned out to be working against MM).

He wanted to claim to be co-writer of the letter that is why he was presented.

Also wasn't JK supposed to have moved country with his husband? Why did he come back to Earthshot.

He probably has something(s) on William. He is the kind of oily snake that would keep proof for blackmail and cling to William for dear life. He is the bane of his life.

Ohnonevermind · 01/01/2023 13:44

@notanotheroneagain

Meghan lied - and all the spinning her lawyer by her lawyer can’t change that reality. If she doesn’t want to be called a liar, she needs to tell the truth

it’s really simple

kirinm · 01/01/2023 13:59

Serenster · 31/12/2022 10:08

I think what Couscous want to say is that there was a “he said, he said” at the end of the Netflix documentary to which each side made their own statement. Neither Couscous nor any of us know which is correct. I

I would note however that Jenny Afia, Meghan’s lawyer, also misled the court when she herself filed a witness statement saying the Duchess had absolutely nothing to do with Finding Freedom, so she’s not exactly a reliable witness either.

Did the judge / court say that the solicitor had misled them? That's quite a serious allegation for a solicitor.

kirinm · 01/01/2023 14:03

BethJ62 · 31/12/2022 10:14

Do lawyers not simply say what their client tells them to say ?
My ex h’s lawyer made a lot of completely untrue allegations about me simply on the word of his client.

A lawyer would know if they'd asked someone to provide witness evidence.

Serenster · 01/01/2023 14:03

The only thing I have heard about Omid (and I do not know whether there is an ounce of truth to it) is that he was at Eton in William's year (but not friends with him and often subbed by that group) and that he mentored Harry there at some point and formed a bond.

That can’t be true as Omid likes to tell us he’s a few years younger than Prince Harry, though! 😉 That is of course another of his lies, though.

Omid was profiled in the Times after the publication of Finding Freedom by journalist Andrew Billen, and his name was given as 33 - which led to criticism from readers who said in reality he was older.

In a subsequent Tatler interview Scobie denied telling Andrew Billen his age in that interview, and said: "I'm 38 years old, not 33”. He also claimed Billen hadn't asked his age.

However, Tatler magazine checked his claim with Andrew Billen, who went through the transcript of his interview with the author.

The transcript showed Scobie telling Billen: "I'm 33, I just turned 33."
Billen replied: "Wow, Omid... congratulations. I was just checking: Andrew Morton published Diana's..."

Scobie interrupted: "Oh, how old was he? "

Billen recorded himself replying: "He was 40", to which Scobie said: "Oh, ok. Not that it's a competition or anything”

So yeah. Given Omid also gave the High Court a witness statement saying the Duchess of Sussex had no involvement in Finding Freedom, he’s also another with only an occasional relationship with the truth.

Yes,
and not only that, but the lawyers will get a list from the judge. And they (the lawyers) will be the ones who give the judge a list of which witnesses they want.

What a divisive woman.

Considering she told us all she was an expert in so many things that the royal institution would benefit from she's made a colossal mess of it. She's destroyed so much goodwill in the pursuit of money.

I suppose Harry was a disappointment once she realised he got less than a couple of million a year and a house in Windsor and wasn't going to inherit a massive castle.

It's all been about her making as much money as possible out of his name. So feminist!

It's an ancient thing, royalty. The centuries of exploitation of subjects by rulers morphed into this powerless figurehead that rightly has to deserve the public upkeep. This all happened long before she arrived to save the monarchy.

She was never going to accept that. For all her blather about service she expects to be paid every time anyone looks at her or her image like some hideous Roman emperor and to obsequiously listen to her chattering in silence.

They are literally lolcows now.

Serenster · 01/01/2023 14:09

All the attempts by Meghan’s fans to smear the one person in this saga who has demonstrated real personal integrity - reporting his concerns that staff were being bullied, giving the court the information that was being concealed from it and that showed that other parties in the case were lying - says so much more about them than about Jason Knauf.

You’ll need to ask Andrew Billen. But he said what his tapes contained, and Omid Scobie didn’t say another word…
