How many arms did he have?
Xmas Grin

Maireas · 26/12/2022 14:56

Well, I've just been looking at pictures of King Charles online......only one arm is ever visible 😯

DuchessOfDisco · 26/12/2022 15:21

I loved the Queen but much prefer listening to Charles - his voice is much nicer to listen to. He obviously has very big shoes to fill, and I appreciate this Christmas he wants to show that he will put his own stamp on being monarch. The location, and the speech, we’re perfect for a first one.
but what I like most is that in the week leading up to Christmas, he passed on money dontated along with a “large personal donation” to a charity that provides fuel vouchers for people struggling, and also - with his own personal funds - purchased a number of fridges for a food bank, so is prepared to actually take action and put money where his mouth is - within the boundaries his role allows (ie to stay out of politics). He doesn’t just talk about cost of living crisis and food banks but does something about it too.

Which is why I said it was odd and was ridiculed.

I think the ridicule was more about your contemplations that Charles had had his arm amputated, especially in the face of him obviously having two normal working arms on several occasions over the last couple of weeks.

eveoha · 26/12/2022 16:22

Hagiographies of a ‘kind and caring’ adulterer who destroyed a family 👍🏿☘️ Perfect setting to re Camilla PB’s first public church attendance as Consort - at least Mary Magdalen redeemed herself -

@Byfleet Maybe he had a stroke before the recording but has now recovered more?

Not enough time antelope, it's more likely that it was amputated before the recording but has now been stitched back on.

Maireas · 26/12/2022 20:22

I wonder if they ran out of time, and stitched the arm on backwards? That's why he keeps that hand in his pocket?

JaneJeffer · 26/12/2022 20:36

It'll be handy <geddit> for waving before and after himself when he's in the golden carriage.

ArcaneWireless · 26/12/2022 20:38

Badoomtish ✨ 🥁 ✨

Maireas · 26/12/2022 20:44

All will be revealed at the Coronation.
You heard it here first.

I’ve said this before, but I think he has an amazing voice.
Very deep and it sounds warm, as opposed to the queens which I agree could sound quite cold.

Harry and William both have lovely deep speaking voices too.

GilianQadir · 28/12/2022 20:49

Not usually a fan either, but I thought he hit the right notes

justcallmebozo · 28/12/2022 22:03

I liked that he mentioned William and Kate, but not H & M. And that there was footage of Princess Anne and Prince Edward, but not Prince Andrew.

@Maireas The Third Policeman

I'd absolutely recommend this. It's my all-time favourite.

vera99 · 29/12/2022 06:55

He should have added now that my beloved Harry has gone orf to do his own thing it is my sincerest hope that the Dolittles will get off their royal arses and put the hours in like dear sister Anne. Its all well and good they play colour bomb games at the Carol service but Camilla and I are well over 70 now and could do with a rest what with Andrew AWOL and such like. Rant over and glad tidings to you all.....
