No I did absolutely not as I have made clear.

No I did absolutely not as I have made clear.

You kind of did.
You said Kate was ‘an actual yacht girl’ unlike Meghan.

Changechangychange · 18/12/2022 12:22

vera99 · 18/12/2022 12:18

No I did absolutely not as I have made clear.

A “yacht girl” is a prostitute provided on an oligarch’s superyacht for his friends and guests to use at will. Like a “house girl” in a crack den, but with better hair extensions. Usually a struggling model or actress. They do not sail the yacht. There is no other meaning.

You know this, which is why you know it was a slur when aimed at Meghan.

That link that I posted from a 2011 Mail article triggered a MN autosensor bot. It would appear what was fair game in the British tabloids by the Mails now chief Royal Correspondent is being airbrushed by the media including MN in 2022. Not that I meant anything scurrilous by linking it but it highlights the sensitivity of defending the Crown from each any any robust debate. Diana and now H and M are right to feel paranoid at the forces they have unleashed they are very real and powerful.

The article you are referring to is disgustingly sexist and objectifying, why would any woman want to direct traffic to that I don't know.

It also states that Kate was bullied, the media was not kind to Kate Xmas Sad

bakalava · 18/12/2022 12:25

@vera99 You did say it and now you are lying. If you are such a fibber then there is no point taking your posts seriously as you have a lot of work to do on yourself before wading into other people's problems.

vera99 · 18/12/2022 12:30

The Mail article provides the context and background and scurrilously but not profanely describes Kates year as yatch deckhand amongst rich customers. It also defends her whole innocence in such matters. I personally don't see so called yatch girls as prostitutes nor do I have any knowledge of that world. That is my last word on the subject and probably but out of the Royal threads for a while. I don't want Special Branch knocking on the door....

For the record Richard Kay is now directing the Mails relentess and pitiless attacks on the Sussexes. Now that is a real and continuing scandal.

Okay Humpty Dumpty.
When I say a word ……

You know what is meant by it, which is why you said it.
Or don’t use words if you don’t know what they mean

AreOttersJustWetCats · 18/12/2022 12:50

If yacht girl doesn't mean prostitute, why would it be a "slur" when applied to Meghan?

Serenster · 18/12/2022 12:57

I'm not a tennis fan so can't comment on that, but the sport I follow has a massive history eating disorders, food restriction, and coaches actively taking food from athletes. I'm not saying Kate does or doesn't have issues with food, but you can't say that her athletic body proves she doesn't.

I am guessing you follow gymnastics and/or figure skating from those comments? Sports where maintaining a pre-pubescent body shape for as long as possible helps massively with the physics involved in performing elite skills? Not all women’s sports are like that any more.

And also, the goalposts are being moved slightly. People have been commenting how Kate starves herself. Her muscle tone shows she does not starve herself: she self-evidentially consumes enough calories to build and maintain muscle. No-one knows whether she has other “issues with food” as you put it.

How come that is the real scandal?
Why is a mean article about Meghan worse than a mean article about Meg?
Your bias and agenda are showing .

@TheaBrandt Carole herself has a good work ethic but unfortunately has not instilled this in her three children.

It’s not nice to slag your mates off.

well im assuming they’re your mates to know so much detail of their day to day lives? Otherwise you’d just be making shit up about people you’ve never met.

There are plenty of other sports where disordered eating is common, not just gymnastics/skating.

@LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet SAHMs are able to do so because of the 'work' of their partner - Kate and William need to earn their keep.

And?

I wasn’t suggesting Catherine is a SAHM. Someone I rudely asked what she does if she’s not working and the kids are at school. I said there’s plenty of SAHMs whose kids are in school on MN, she probably does the same as them

Respect the level of privilege they have been given by not appearing as enttled and lazy.

How much work do you think they should be doing then?

TurquoiseDress · 18/12/2022 13:38

Indeed this is the best response to all the noise

Surpassing relatives in their 70s, 80s and 90s for royal engagements would have been a great start. Their stats from 2011 to now are appalling. They read 'lazy' and 'entitled'.

Ohnonevermind · 18/12/2022 14:02

@wishingyouwell

They are raising a young family and will be doing this job for the rest of their lives, it’s a marathon not a sprint, they won’t be retiring at 65 so don’t worry you’ll get your moneys worth.

antelopevalley · 18/12/2022 14:07

Both William and Kate "work" at maximum one day a week. If the job was adve

BadgerB · 18/12/2022 14:07

Harry and Meghan were such an asset to the Royals - but instead of being given support, they were briefed against to the tabloids.

They WERE an asset, until M realised that no matter how much the public loved her (and they did) she would always have to stand behind Kate. So she decided to make her own "Court", and took Dumbo with her.

wishingyouwell · 18/12/2022 14:10

@Ohnonevermind not an excuse, they have staff. Lots of support. Their pre-children stats are also appalling. They are lazy and entitled.
What was she doing before getting married? Not a great deal either.

wishingyouwell · 18/12/2022 14:12

The marathon analogy is flawed as it would imply rigour which has been absent.

antelopevalley · 18/12/2022 14:21

Royalists talk as if Royal Family members are organising dinners they host. They have staff for that. They may sit down for a quick meeting with the chef who presents their ideas for the menu and wine list and with the dinner organiser to finalise who is invited and who the Royal Family members sit next to. But the rest is just them turning up, eating and chatting.

diffandproud · 18/12/2022 14:30

If people want a show, a pretence, then Kate is doing great at keeping the show going. However, she is no Diana, she won't challenge things, she will go along with anything, just to ensure nothing changes within this institution
