Last thread has filled up so I thought I'd create another to chat trailers and teasers while we hang about waiting for better more truth bombs to drop in the main event.

Something I’m really surprised about is how aware they are of headlines, social media etc. I thought they’d just quietly avoid reading about themselves so much

Roussette · 15/12/2022 10:59

Does George, Charlotte and Louis consent. Did they consent to their baby pics being shown to the world?
Nah
Twaddle yes

<Sighs>

You're missing the point

The Sussexes are different! Haven't you been following any of their agenda?

Stop saying twaddle, you're usually better than that. I know these are desperate days for Sussex supporters but still.

Roussette · 15/12/2022 11:07

The Sussexes are different!

Yes, thank god.

I know these are desperate days for Sussex supporters but still

Totally the opposite actually.

What a horrible poisonous post

Agree. That post is a new low for these hate threads.

MistletoeandBaileys · 15/12/2022 11:09

Also I think the bridge is probably broken between the two brothers. And wasn’t Princess Margaret often seen as being much more popular than the Queen?

I reckon this has followed on through here with these two brothers.

If I was William I would never forgive Harry for this.

I wonder (genuinely!) if it's at all possible to properly gauge the UK public's reaction to this "documentary".

zzzexhaustedzzz · 15/12/2022 11:09

So, does Haitch mention James Hewitt at all? 😂That’s one of the few things I’d be interested to hear about… Though it would mean no chance of being king ever.. and not very special.
Not a fan of H and M or the rest of them either. Abolish the lot! Perhaps all this will help. It certainly doesn’t do this country any favours when we already look so ridiculous to the rest of the world…

Oh this is Harry's last hurrah. Any chance of credibility gone. We know he doesnd have a shred of evidence for his paranoid claims.

They should have left it at the Winfry stunt, someone should have whispered 'less is more' to a crescendo of dramatic music.

Roussette · 15/12/2022 11:10

In your opinion Janiie. Not mine.

mnenomic · 15/12/2022 11:13

Wow. I don't have Netflix, but I'm watching the live updates (on Guardian, Sky News, occasionally a dip over to the Daily Mail for their 'takeaways'...) and they really have gone nuclear. William screaming and shouting in a private meeting. The Daily Mail killed Meghan's unborn child. The first cottage they were given was 'too small' for them. Charles cutting the purse strings. Filming every single moment of their lives, including recording phone calls, zoom calls, texts to save for later...(who does that?) The Queen being 'granny' - why does Meghan have to keep repeating this rather diminishing phrase?! Just an awful lot of ''material'' for tabloid fodder.

There are no winners in this. It's just a sordid, toxic mess that will leave no one better off and do absolutely nothing to improve the media's treatment of any and all public figures in this country - which is ultimately what this is about and the 'catalyst'.

Netflix is clearly H&M's therapy outlet... at the cost of damaging the mental wellbeing of how many other people? Well, we'll see if it works for them, but it's doing absolutely nothing for me as a horrified onlooker on the whole lot of them.

What was that saying about dirty washing?

I bet they'll be supporters at the Carol concert, is it tonight?

The grasping Sussexes tawdry reality show will fester on Netflix while the public will see how the rf will behave with dignity and class.

JemimaPyjamas · 15/12/2022 11:14

Placemarking as I am drawn to the car crash element but cannot actually bring myself to watch it.

Am I right with the general view that the first episodes were largely a cringe fest about their amazing love story, and now last three are the supposed 'truth bomb's which actually make them both look ridiculous?

zzzexhaustedzzz · 15/12/2022 11:16

Ugh, I don’t know about these things but when I saw that style copied from John Lennon and Yoko I did feel a bit queazy. Have these people no minds or creative ideas of their own? It’s disturbing.

HappinessAlley · 15/12/2022 11:16

I think it’s very hard to gauge how this comes across among the general public. People who are not that interested are not going to be posting on this thread

Rhondaa · 15/12/2022 11:16

'Am I right with the general view that the first episodes were largely a cringe fest about their amazing love story, and now last three are the supposed 'truth bomb's which actually make them both look ridiculous?'

Yes but no evidence apparently. Not even a WhatsApp I believe. Nil. Nada.

Just Harry's dubious and whispery recollections.

oakleaffy · 15/12/2022 11:17

I haven't got 'Netflix' , so don't watch anything but the odd snippets shown online, and it seems extremely anodyne and 'Soft focus' and rather self congratulatory.

The kids being 'Hidden' prior to this Netflix series was more for financial reasons, than ''Securidy'' as M&H knew the monetary value would go up on the kid's images if they were few and far between.

It seems like all sugar and no substance to me, not even using their own house.

The stories about the media hounding them with massed banks of cameras have been debunked already, as those images belonged to other 'Celebrities'.

Seems as they have been called out on other fibbifications in the past, people are doubting anything that issues from their over~ animated mouths.

Roussette · 15/12/2022 11:18

Ep5 and the part about internet hate with accounts set up purely to spread hate and racism is really horrible, amplifying hate, endless death threats and lies and where setting up these accounts can make you money... it's truly horrifying.

Panama2 · 15/12/2022 11:18

I think Harry is a very damaged man more then anyone realised and I am surprised that Meghan doesn’t get him some help.

Baltic59 · 15/12/2022 11:20

I think H could be displaying his subjective, emotional memory which is often different from an objective account of events.

I can believe he felt terrified in that highly emotional summit. But I am really struggling to believe the Queen would sit there silent while W "screamed and shouted". Particularly as H went to such lengths to make clear he had no criticism of her and went on to name his daughter after her.

W was no doubt as terrified about what was happening as H and may well have raised his voice which caused extreme emotions in H. It's possible that H now recalls that extreme emotion and his memory of what actually happened has now evolved to reflect that level of distress.

Yes sm is awful. I believe many high profile people get this targeted abuse and hate.

We aren't talking about that though they seem to be conflating social media trolls with the mainstream media and the RF and all are obviously very different things.

TrashyPanda · 15/12/2022 11:22

Roussette · 15/12/2022 10:34

Now that is really silly

Nobody had ever suggested Harry was smart but you are right, this is downright stupid of him

AutumnCrow · 15/12/2022 11:23

I wonder if large parts of the general public will just think, 'ooooh eerrr the royal family's having a right ding dong, bunch of privileged twats the lot of them', shrug and carry on with their currently very difficult lives.

The first three episodes were also a prolonged whinge about "Poor us, persecuted by the media" as they drive around with Netflix cameras trained on them in a large expensive chauffeur-driven car with clear windows and zero effort to disguise who they are.

Surely Harry has the money to access the best therapists?

But it probably suits Meghan to keep Harry in his vulnerably malleable state.

If he were a strong character, he'd think for himself, but he just appears to be a hand puppet for his wife.

whynotwhatknot · 15/12/2022 11:23

theyve been proven liars so why should we believe anything rlse they say

and terrified is he serious-wasnt he in the army
