Headline on front page of the Metro seen on the train. Didn't read the article. Said by Harry.

Who's he referring to? His brother?

Elizabeth I's mother was Spanish

SInce when was Catherine of Aragon the mother of Elizabeth I?????

Pythonese · 10/12/2022 01:02

Harry has to ask his wife what his opinion is ever morning. Thinking isn’t one of his strengths.

handbagsandholidays · 10/12/2022 01:03

@NOTANUM I assume the RF's legal team as the wording made reference to a third party but didn't say who. There is no way the forum / comment section i had written in would take any action as the comment was 'approved by moderators' before it was published. I hadn't said anything particularly bad either - from memory I said something about like father like son and made reference to the RH rumours. Will see if I can dig out the email but it was approx 2 years ago. It was a surprise! Trolls get away with writing all sorts so I was shocked that something such as my comment which wasn't particularly awful was met with such censorship! It felt as though somebody must actively search for certain things to be removed from the internet. I remember most of the twitter threads about the rumours being deleted too as after I got the email I searched out of curiosity and couldn't find much.

Mothership4two · 10/12/2022 01:15

@doorheck

He has more experience and inside know.edge of the RF than any of you.

Absolutely. Everything the public think they know has been carefully managed over many years

JeanRondeausMadHair · 10/12/2022 01:31

Elizabeth I's mother was Spanish.

Anne Boleyn was a number of things but Spanish wasn't one of them.

😂😂

People really do write a pile of tut on here, thinking it’s true.

He’s being totally disingenuous and he knows it.

That family are carrying on the bloodlines of our ancient country’s heritage- through their marriages they all literally carry the blood in their veins of the Kings and Queens in our history books stretching right back through the mists of time from every corner of the British Isles.

Of course they put more consideration into who they marry than the rest of us do.

Bollocks or are you trolling the Windsor or Saxe Coburgs don't track a bloodline back to Alfred the Great and even if they did so what it would only mean that they were inbred and genetically inferior which to a large extent is true.

Pearmain · 10/12/2022 03:05

@sashh and @vera99 Not sure why that would be trolling, of course the U.K. blood royals are related to the various Kings and Queens throughout our history, yes that includes Alfred the Great and William the Conqueror and countless European royals.

Sorry Mary I, I got my Tudors mixed up. Anyway one female Tudor monarch had a Spanish mother.

Yeah, marrying an attractive wealthy actress is about love.

Nasty speculation. He didn't need the money after all.

lemmein · 10/12/2022 03:42

Candace Owens is a good listen on this if you search on you tube.

Fuckin' hell 🤣🤣🤣

lemmein · 10/12/2022 03:46

My DD had been with my DSIL for 5 years, had just bought a house together, seemed blissfully happy, then out of the blue my DD announced that they were splitting up, we were all shocked by the news.

Point being, I see my DD most days, we have what I thought was a close relationship, yet I had no idea they were on the verge of splitting. You have no idea what goes on in other people relationships - less so those that you only know through a media lens.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 10/12/2022 03:58

'the queen married for love'

Yeah, maybe, but she also decided to follow in royal tradition by looking the other way as Philip was getting his end away with other women. Clearly worked for them, but it's not exactly the Hallmark romance some people like to make it out to be.

starrynight21 · 10/12/2022 04:13

It really annoys me when H says things like this about the other Royals - no names mentioned . So everyone gets labelled . I'd have more respect for him if he'd said " X queried what colour my son would be", or " W didn't marry for love, but I did". Anyone can spray innuendo around , it's easy and you never have to take ownership of your comments.

HotChoxs · 10/12/2022 04:16

wincarwoo · 10/12/2022 03:14

No but he did need someone who was of a particular standard

You even heard him said himself it was a feat that a ginger landed her.

So he could have married for a lot of things apart from love. Someone to show off, lust, an escape from the pressures etc.

Coxspurplepippin · 09/12/2022 17:08

Kate and William's older kids will have gone to school today and likely had to hear their schoolmates commenting about how their parents don't love each other. Good to see Harry thinking of the mental health impacts of his utterings on others, including children. Good job!

Oh don't be so ridiculous and over-dramatic! 1, it's clear Harry was talking about his father and 2, no kids would care to watch anything about Harry and Meghan nor even understand the concept of marrying for or not for love. Nor is it something kids even talk about.

IAmWomanHearMeRoar1 · 10/12/2022 04:57

Pearmain · 09/12/2022 17:29

Sadly I think Harry is also mistaken that he has married for love - well, maybe he has but I’m pretty sure Meghan hasn’t married for love I’m afraid.

@Pearmain Here we go again with the misogynistic 'the woman is the demon and a golddigger' comment. Anyone who sees the way Meghan looks at Harry knows she truly loves him. In fact I remember one of my local politicians saying he wishes a woman would look at him the way Meghan looked at Harry during their wedding.

IAmWomanHearMeRoar1 · 10/12/2022 05:02

IShaggedSomeMingers · 09/12/2022 17:30

Is H completely unaware of that he is only who he is because of his family.
Once his DW gets bored of him, he'll be nothing. All the PDAs look like she is clinging on to him in case he runs away.

Are you aware that no one chooses their family, and no one chooses to born, @IShaggedSomeMingers . He doesn't owe them anything any more than any of us owe our parents for them shagging and having us. Stop acting like he should be grateful for an accident of birth. And FYI the PDA is very common in American culture. It might look odd to stiff and old-fashioned Brits, but it's is just the way Americans are.

Daffodilsandtuplips · 10/12/2022 00:21

I haven’t seen the show but I thought Harry looked embarrassed when MM did the overblown curtesy when a clip was shown of it.
Ive no time for them, they wanted out of the ‘Royal life’, to live abroad, not do the boring Royal Duties, they’d do the occasional one instead. The late Queen told them no, no part time Royals here.
She’s admitted she’s often miked up when she goes out.
No Wonder the Queen said no to her filming the meeting of the two great grandchildren during the Jubilee celebrations, or Prince Charles ( as he was then) refusing to meet her for a private audience afterwards, they knew it would be material for her next blog.

He should be embarrassed - he should have told her what was expected beforehand....

IAmWomanHearMeRoar1 · 10/12/2022 05:11

BessieSurtees · 09/12/2022 19:10

I think both H&M were happy to rush things, Harry because he didn't want her to get cold feet like his previous LTRs (where he looked a whole lot happier) and Meghan because she knew there was a limited window before she was found out.

@BessieSurtees before she was found out.

What does that refer to?

IAmWomanHearMeRoar1 · 10/12/2022 05:16

Spck · 09/12/2022 22:40

I think we need to remember that Harry is notoriously not very bright. It was reported when he was at school and all the way through his adult life. He’s been led by Meghan into all this and it has spiralled. Candace Owens is a good listen on this if you search on you tube.

@Spck Oh, the far right extremist Candace Owens! Wow. And the misogynistic it's all the woman's fault 'Meghan led him into this, Meghan wears the trousers, Meghan is to blame etc etc'. Turn the record over.

But he is not intelligent- it’s a fact, not opinion. She is far brighter than him.

Spck · 09/12/2022 22:42

Also I just can’t believe the affairs stories about William - him and Kate’s body language it too harmonious to be faked.

That doesn't prove a thing, it certainly does not disprove an affair. It means nothing other than a couple are able to act professionally in public.

IAmWomanHearMeRoar1 · 10/12/2022 05:20

felulageller · 09/12/2022 23:08

I believe it was the alleged affair that split the Wales and the Sussex's.

That is what I believe too. Harry took umbrage at how William treated Kate. It explains the animosity between them.

itsgettingweird · 10/12/2022 05:20

He said in the past it was expected to marry someone who would breed well.

Hardly a revelation is it?!

And so many of the generation above him got divorced so again - hardly beyond the truth.

I thought he explained the situation very well about heart and head and decisions over relationships and marriage and explained it in terms of his own personal situation.

Not one thing he said in the first 3 episodes sounded shocking or news to me! I liked his honesty though.
