Headline on front page of the Metro seen on the train. Didn't read the article. Said by Harry.

Who's he referring to? His brother?

@bakalava did you say she was peri menopausal?

Also - how quiet and dull are the lives of people that have the time to pick apart someone they have never and will never meet??? Christ.

mobear · 09/12/2022 19:00

I remember all the comments when William and Kate were dating about her being new money, daughter of a flight attendant/ pilot, unsuitable, etc. I don’t understand why this has all suddenly been forgotten? Surely if William had chosen someone ‘suitable’ he would have chosen someone from the aristocracy, as Harry once did with Cressida. Chelsea Davy’s father is/ was one of the largest landowners in Zimbabwe as well.

mydogisthebest · 09/12/2022 19:04

William and Kate do look like a couple in love but, if the rumours are true about the affair, he obviously is not that in love and certainly does not respect her

Comedycook · 09/12/2022 19:08

Kate was "suitable". No skeletons in the closet. Comes from a non aristocratic family so seen as normal enough yet they are wealthy enough to live a lifestyle that appears compatible with having a daughter who will be Queen one day. Attractive, understated and elegant. Pleasant and tactful. Kate was a great choice. My general feeling and impression I get is that for William, he and Kate are not some great, huge, dramatic love story....but, he loves her, they get on well and overall they are happy. I could be wrong though. Who knows what goes on in other people's relationships.

BessieSurtees · 09/12/2022 19:10

I think both H&M were happy to rush things, Harry because he didn't want her to get cold feet like his previous LTRs (where he looked a whole lot happier) and Meghan because she knew there was a limited window before she was found out.

Comedycook · 09/12/2022 19:12

I watched the Netflix show last night and Harry and Meghan come across as one of those couples who think they invented love...who think they're more in love than any other couple have ever been.

HelloBunny · 09/12/2022 19:15

The Queen’s marriage was love.
Charles second marriage was love.

Or they were both of the age where you have to fast-track things if you want two children.

doorheckk · 09/12/2022 20:34

He has more experience and inside know.edge of the RF than any of you.

No way, Shelia down the road defo knows more! 😆

doorheckk · 09/12/2022 20:36

Why are people assuming they are talking about W&K? why are people jumping to that conclusion? Isn't it talking generally & most likely his dad?

RancidOldHag · 09/12/2022 20:43

ncforrashpice · 09/12/2022 16:29

Peri menopause? She was 35/6 when they got together. Christ.

She's 41 now, and perimenopause commonly begins any time 40+ (can last for a good 10 years)

So actually it'll be on the cards shortly if not already

The person who started the rumours said it was a made up story I believe

I dont believe it anyway, especially when Pippa named her daughter the same name as the alleged OW. There's no way she'd have done that to Kate if there was anything in it

doorheckk · 09/12/2022 20:36

Probably because he said “men” in the Royal Family

ncforrashpice · 09/12/2022 20:51

Genuinely can't believe people are discussing the potential early menopause of a woman they do not and will not ever know. Including myself. I'm out. You lot are fucking batshit.

DingDangMintyBells · 09/12/2022 21:03

If H & M didn’t want people to discuss/speculate about them they wouldn’t have released this. They want the whole world to be talking about them, don’t think they care what we say as long as we do.

I intended to supply only information about timings of the perimenopause. Which indicate that it would not be 'early' if beginning at 40+, an age she has reached.

Obviously we don't know (and should not know) her medical info, but it's wrong to assume that, if happening, it would be 'early', when actually it would be bang on cue

doorheckk · 09/12/2022 21:12

@smilesy but why does men include William? there are lots of "men" in the royal family

MrsDooDaa · 09/12/2022 21:16

@doorheckk but why does men not include William?

Obviously with such a vague comment there will be speculation.

It would have been best not to speculate on anyone's marriage in the TV show. Unless you are in a marriage, you really don't know.

smilesy · 09/12/2022 22:24

@doorheckk but why does men not include William

Exactly. William is a man in the RF, isn’t he? Seems strange to think he is not being included 🤷‍♀️

Spck · 09/12/2022 22:40

I think we need to remember that Harry is notoriously not very bright. It was reported when he was at school and all the way through his adult life. He’s been led by Meghan into all this and it has spiralled. Candace Owens is a good listen on this if you search on you tube.

Spck · 09/12/2022 22:42

Also I just can’t believe the affairs stories about William - him and Kate’s body language it too harmonious to be faked.

They do - if you're old enough to remember how uncomfortable Charles and Diana looked when things went pear shaped, William and Kate look completely in tune.

felulageller · 09/12/2022 23:08

I believe it was the alleged affair that split the Wales and the Sussex's.

Bubblesdublin · 09/12/2022 23:19

Meghan is 5 months older and Kate is only 40 yet

Rinoachicken · 09/12/2022 17:12

And yes to the ‘superiority’ thing Harry seems to have going on.

  • Superior marriage, (he married for live - but he can’t speak to what other people feel!)
  • Superior insight into ‘normal life’ that ‘no one else in his family has’ because of his time in the army (other members of the family have seen active service, or have worked, he is not special for this)
  • Superior self-growth (he is the ONLY one in the family to be able to reflect on past mistakes

Yes definitely.

I know a couple of people like it in real life.

Lol at Meghan 'pushing 50' though Grin
