Sounds a weird thing to say. But Meghan really has had the life of a lot of women's complete fantasies hasn't she ?

  • born in hot / glam country
  • parents win the lottery
  • received private education. Hobbies. Makes great connections ag school eg Katherine foster
  • financially supported into late 20s
  • enables her to have a fantasy actress career
  • can pay for cosmetic surgery eg nose, chin and hair treatments. Has amazing clothes
  • marries a prince
  • has 2 kids as an older mother without assistance
  • lives in a luxurious beautiful community

Never been unwell , never done a boring / basic job in her life, has no financial worries ever.

On paper it is so much better than my life !!

I've had to grind my way out of poor upbringing and get into higher pay brackets like most do!

Ah, the old “wanting privacy” narrative which was a very successful media construct to discredit them, and which they’ve continually refuted. Kudos to the Buck Pal lackey who briefed against them on that one!

Equally, like every member of society, they also value privacy as individuals and as a family.”

But not the privacy of his family. It's perfectly fine to set fire to their privacy. What a pair of hypocrites.

And this is just another thread calling to all Meghan bashers, come and bash her more.
Andrew's alleged rape of sex-trafficked girls does not generate anywhere near the same outrage. That is misogyny and racism I guess.

Really ! , a bit rich coming from a poster who has started more threads slagging of the rf and particularly w and k .

And you also said that Charlotte and George should have no issues being teased as they are at a rich private school and they should be used to criticism!

William and Kate also rightly call for privacy at times e.g. when William was out riding a bike with his family. Being in the public eye does not mean everything is fair game.

antelopevalley · 06/12/2022 12:32

@jeffgoldblum Why are you lying about me? Really why do you feel the need to do that?

jeffgoldblum · 06/12/2022 12:35

I'm not! Anyone can see the truth in about two seconds!
However if it helps I could signpost the particular post?

antelopevalley · 06/12/2022 12:39

You have twisted what I say. I did not say kids should have no issues, I said schools will be used to supporting children experiencing this.

I do not criticise women's looks. I do think the monarchy should be abolished.

jeffgoldblum · 06/12/2022 12:43

They go to school, with many well-off people who will also get public criticism of parents. It will not be that unusual.
And many children get far worse when their parents are accused in the papers of murder or rape.

This is what you replied to a poster who was concerned about what w and k children might be teased or exposed to at school!

William does call for privacy. And Harry says that every member of society - so Wlliam too - is entitled it it
However, Harry wants people to respect his privacy but shows no respect for his family's.
Do what I say, not what I do. Hypocrites.

babycryingandcrying · 06/12/2022 12:53

How do you know she had children without assistance?

A lot of women in their late 30s do have babies without assistance, but Meghan never disclosed whether she needed help or not ( she doesn't have to, it's none of our business)

No because I’m not obsessed. But I did used to work in TV and eeeeeevery single celebrity ever does this: you watch them in the wings of chat shows or whatever being themselves, then there’s a “turn it on for the cameras” moment where they transform from Madonna to MADONNA! or whomever. After the job is done, you switch off the dazzle. It would be exhausting to do otherwise.

None of us can tell from pored-over footage spliced together by crazy people whether he’s happy or not.

But you used the picture to show how happy he is.
Now you're saying that the picture means nothing because, like every other single celebrity, he's just turning it on for the camera.
So people could very well be right that he's miserable.

The horror 😱

Both King Charles and Princess Anne have had actual assassination attempts. And I am really worried about William's and Kate's mental health following Harry and Megs latest 'truth' documentary against the royal family. Why can't they just enjoy their life without all this hate against their family.

I really wouldn't be really worried about someone who is unaware and happy to be unaware of your very existence.

Surely you have more people that you actually know to be worried about?

bakalava · 06/12/2022 13:14

I think she was incredibly naive marrying into the RF

I think she was incredibly smart for doing that. She was divorced and had been in several live in relationships.
There was not a queue of fabulously rich men from powerful families going out of the door. Her age ruled her out for Ashley Cole who she was interested in.

ChristmasRoses · 06/12/2022 13:23

Seems we're all being taken for a ride by H&M and Netflix: www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-63837131

I worry about old people not being able to afford heat this winter; lots of peoole on here have expressed worry about parents watering down milk formula for their babies. In the past I've worried about miners being trapped underground, Russian sailors trapped in a submarine, children trapped in underwater caves, a child trapped down an old well, etc, etc etc.

Should we all just not give a jot about the plight of people we don't know?

Blip · 06/12/2022 13:33

Amazed at how several posters are minimising a $750k lottery win back in 1990. That is a serious amount of money. OK maybe tax was payable but $750k back then was worth way more than it is today, the equivalent of £1.71M nowadays.

I used the Spider-Man picture for a lol, really – I mean, it’s a scurrilous gossip thread about the royal family on a free chat forum, I’m mostly here for the larks not to probe Hazza’s mental health too deeply.

bakalava · 06/12/2022 13:38

It was a lifechanging amount of money and it definitely changed her life. She came from a working class blue collar background and she used the opportunity well.

I wonder if part of her insecurity is about letting the mask slip because she thinks that her fans don't know.

No one was minimising it. Of course it’s a huge amount, even after half of it is taken away in tax. Sounds like OP assumed it was millions and was emphasising how seemingly lavish and decadent MM life was growing up, but when clearly that wasn’t the case at all.

Oh just stop, the huge volumes of threads you start criticising Kate for the most incongruous things and other members of the RF, yet you get defensive when it’s about H&M.

@LadyVictoriaSponge I defend someone when people are posting lies, being vile or criticising a woman's appearance. I really dislike blatant lies being posted about anyone.

But you start threads with a non-story to criticise other members of the royal family all the time.
It really shows there’s is an agenda here but keep doing it as I enjoy very much your threads.
(not for the reasons you would like…)

@Bestcatmum well done to you!

It's a lot of effort escaping unfortunate starts in love and dealing with trauma while trying to better yourself and achieve piece and stability and positive other relationships (maybe not FOO but your own children and friends you choose)

Well done

It's a shame their kids won't grow up alongside their cousins.

Exactly. That’s so sad. It lovely having close cousins
