Awful story just broken on twitter about horrendous racist questioning from Lady Hussey to Ngozi Fulani from Sister Space at yesterdays VAWG event. Lady Hussey has resigned. [Edited by MNHQ to correct typo at OP's request]

'Why would Hussey have access to or be near microphones?'

I don't mean to make a speech or anything <obviously> but at these events microphones will be around, the media and journalists are present, if she was a racist then I think in 60 odd years someone just might have noticed it and said fgs keep her away from public events and educate her. Yet we've heard nothing from anyone else at all.

NF went with an agenda. Her charity have previously tweeted anti RF crap, not her personal account but her actual charity. She went there with an axe to grind and Hussey unfortunately fell for her stonewalling by asking her repeatedly about a heritage that she clearly identifies with.

Looking at the way Ngozi Fulani is being treated, discussed and dissected, I wouldn’t. I’d be pleased she’d been found out, but have zero need for that sort of turmoil in my life.

Personally I believe people can learn and change, even ones with such an extensive history of racist remarks, but it's interesting that the usual narrative on here is "Once a racist always a racist" - except it seems when it suits

There is just no credible way in my opinion that the timing of this is anything other than deliberate to coincide with the new mocumentary series and to undermine W&C.

Surely Camilla must be in on it and Lady Hussey too! I mean, she made sure to schedule her event right before W&K were due to travel to America. Hussey got in on the act by asking invasive questions. I think we've cracked the case 😂

What stone walling? She's British and said so. There was no obligation for her to play along with a racist line of questioning and declare that she is 'from' the Caribbean when she is not. No one could have predicted SH taking the line she did. There was no way to plan this.

Prince Philip was not particularly gracious by all accounts, he was a curmudgeonly overprivileged old man, and likely an unrepentant racist too. Remember him telling British students studying in China that if they stayed there too long they'd get 'slitty eyes'? . It's all documented.

I didn't say he wasn't curmudgeonly or over privileged. I was referring to a pp sniggering at a Tweet mocking his heritage. Firstly I don't get the joke, there are lots of immigrants in this country and secondly as I said I bet he'd have been happy to explain his ancestry.
