Awful story just broken on twitter about horrendous racist questioning from Lady Hussey to Ngozi Fulani from Sister Space at yesterdays VAWG event.

Lady Hussey has resigned.

It's interesting that you got so upset at a perceived disrespectful remark about Māori people (which wasn't even made), but deny Ms Fulani the right to tweet about her own upset.

At 83 she has lived long enough to recognise the changes that have happened in British society in her lifetime, just because someone is old it doesn’t mean they can’t adapt, or change their mindset, or recognise humanity in others . Anyone, whatever age they are, is capable of change if they are able to recognise that change needs to happen .

Some people of course have their own reasons for not changing, or wanting to change, or even recognising that change needs to happen.

I wonder how it will all pan out for her daughter Katharine who is Camilla's 'companion' lady in waiting, must make for some uncomfortable conversations.

Looking at that transcript again, does anyone know if this is said to have been recorded by any of the witnesses?

It just strikes me as being very long and detailed for anyone to have retained verbatim, so I wondered if maybe someone had their phone out (if they're even allowed at these things!!)

So, write to the news outlets and do something that compares to even 1% of what Ngozi has done and is doing about VAWG.

They should have been better prepared yes. If someone had previous likened the Sussex debacle to domestic violence I think I'd have had switched on people interacting with the attendees not a 83 yr old lady asking inappropriate, probing questions.
