Mike Tindall - I'm a Celebrity

Rumours circulating that he's signed up for the next series of I'm a Celebrity.
I know he and Zara have to make their own money but I find this tasteless and tacky.
Puts me in mind of the Royal It's a Knockout.
Surely they can't be that desperate for cash?

Unlike you he probably feels no deference towards Harry. Why should he? Of course he's arrogant. He's an ex England rugby player. They're all like that.

I didn’t see him check his watch but if he did he might have been concerned about Zara standing in that position in very high heels !

As far as I am aware, they are Non-working Royals, and do not receive money from the State.
Also, he has not gone on Oprah to trash his wife's family, etc

The Royal Family are basically celebrities. So this makes sense. They are not anything different from any other celebrity, except taxpayers pay for their vast wealth and palaces.

IIRC Tindal has been with Zara for ages, nearly 20 years.

I’m sure he’s well at the stage where he’s formed his own opinions on his inlaws. I don’t think him not showing deference to Harry is arrogance, just familiarity.

I think you misunderstand. I agree that Mike feels no need to see Harry as someone above him. He's just a younger in law that he probably mucked about with back in the day. I'm talking about a sportsman's arrogance which has nothing to do with his attitude to Harry.

Zara, once employed for £££ by secretive Chinese businessman and lying about it; Peter, senior role at RBS as it failed around him and hoovering up cash for organsing the disaster that was The Patron's lunch after an uncontested bid by his own firm and Mike Tindall claiming on the furlough scheme.

Yes I know of Mike Tindall much more from the sporting side as a rugby fan than who he happens to be married to! He's had a fantastic career, World Cup winner etc, and will be an interesting person on the show - bet he's got some cracking stories lined up

They just play the game, they are media savvy. No whining about the very family and institution that give them their perks and platform.

It does not matter if Gatcombe Park is privately owned - Princess Anne still gets her money from us and so therefore they are all 'owned' by us in some way. I find him to be a dick these days, talking about the royals and looking down on some of them. I wish they would all go away.
I rescind my ownership of the royals and I want my money back especially the money used to shoot deer at Balmoral by 'Willy' as Tindall affectionately calls him

Why? Career as a ex rugby player is pretty limited and he's just as entitled to earn money as all of the other celebrities.

I'd be pretty pissed off if I was Harry (not that I'm a big fan of those two and the dramas).

Also. He's doesn't push his royal status at all. He tries not to talk about it and when pushed he says something light and respectful. Affairs and drink driving aren't great but that's no reason to have him unable to work.

He's a former England rugby player, they always seem to have an ex sportsperson, he fits that remit.

I have my doubts whether he would do it, though he's pretty good at not giving things away about the royal family side of his life. If it was strictly Christmas special I would have been more convinced

The Queen's "private wealth" purchased Gatcombe. Well imagine that. She didn't get it from working down the mines anyway. Anyone know how she amassed such vast funds?

It’s really annoying when oriole pop up to claim affairs, arrogance and rude behaviour but can’t cite any actual instances of these things .

He hasn't had any affairs as far as I know. He was in the tabloids for putting his arm round a woman and.... gasp....drinking

Someone upthread mentioned drink driving and an affair, no idea if it is true. Shouldn't stop him from working though
