Mike Tindall - I'm a Celebrity

Rumours circulating that he's signed up for the next series of I'm a Celebrity.
I know he and Zara have to make their own money but I find this tasteless and tacky.
Puts me in mind of the Royal It's a Knockout.
Surely they can't be that desperate for cash?

@antelopevalley he is still also in the linelight due to rugby and his involvement like james haskell and many a former rugby player who don't play anymore
They are commentators etc , He won a world cup

He was a famous sportsman WAAAAAY before he met Zara. Why shouldn't he do this?

@worriedatthistime My point is they all do it. They are modern celebrities and as such they need to stay in the public eye. Mike Tindall as an ex-sports star would not get as much coverage as Mike Tindall an ex-sports star and now Royal.

Personally I'd rather he went on Strictly or I'm a celeb - if we had to choose.

Yes of course if you in favour that will work for you its why he is probably a little more careful about what he says and actually rarely talks about it but does talk a lot about rugby

It was reported that he called Harry a bellend and that some members of the royals wanted to throw some punches. Obviously I don’t know if that’s true but it was well reported.

I do think he’s arrogant, think he’s fake too and I won’t be giving him my vote on I’m a celeb! Although I’m sure he wouldn’t give a toss 😂

@worriedatthistime He is both, An ex-sports star and commentator plus a Royal. Both together boost his fame. People saw him at the Queen's funeral and there are fairly regular stories about him and Zara in press as a Royal.

This made me lol. Tindall is a working man, not a working royal he’s very different to harry and Meghan and it’s no different to James Haskell going on. Tindall is famous In his own right. Zara his wife also isn’t a working royal

@antelopevalley but so what if they do , but you always take the chance that what you do may backfire , sometimes it will work in your favour other times not hence why they have PR teams
Im a celebrity is pretty harmless though unless he was to say too much which I really think he won't and talking about rf will be off limits other than silly things , small snippets
H & M generally has backfired for them , thats the chance they took
They can pull it back im sure if they want too but it will take time

I honestly wouldn't have a clue who he was if he wasn't a Royal. I don't follow Rugby. So to me he's only famous in Rugby in the same way footballers are known in football. Otherwise more of those who follow the RF will know him.

He's different. The cheating rumours and the proof I suppose make him a controversial character which is perfect for these reality tv shows..

He's not cashing in on his royal status. He's famous for being a rugby player.

Now - is that only for the blokes who marry into that family or does it apply to the women aswell?

Seems to me that the men always get a pass, and the women always get mauled.

It is why I cannot feel any respect for the men in that family - they hide behind the women.

Actually they don't - they send them out to take the pastings.

I find this guy quite annoying so fully approve of his going on the show. Hopefully he’ll commit embarrassing gaffes aplenty.

I thought it was said that Zara and Harry got on well so who knows
But in families some don't like each other

The Queen's "private wealth" purchased Gatcombe. Well imagine that. She didn't get it from working down the mines anyway. Anyone know how she amassed such vast funds?

She got her vast funds from her long line of ancestors, who got it in a variety of ways, tho' not likely from Income Tax which was introduced about 1800, and at a very low rate. She (now He) hands it over to the Govt, who pay the Sovereign Grant back to the monarch. And keep the rest

@Justasec321 before they all joined the Royal Family I only knew Meghan for being an actress. I still see her as an actress who married a royal.

Sophie married in when I was very young and I only ever remember Kate as William's girlfriend.

Everyone virtually on MN says Harry is a minor Royal. So has that changed?

Hardly ‘affairs’ is it? That was a long time ago and though unwise, was not an affair. One incident.

Tindall is not the equivalent to Harry, he's the equivalent to Lilibet's future husband. So in 30 years time, should Lilibet's husband be considered Royal? If so, should he refrain from doing tv shows, podcasts etc? (things all that Harry and Meghan are doing now BTW)

Whaat? Perhaps all restraints are off now the Queen is no longer with us?

Look forward to seeing Kate on Bake Off, the Duke of Gloucester on Top Gear and the Queen Consort on Blankety Blank.
