notanotheroneagain, I've never posted on any royal family threads, but do read them sometimes. If I did post, I'd be quite critical of Harry and Meghan, but also happen to think that Mike Tindall appearing on I'm a Celebrity is tacky af. You'd think this sort of programme (and all the other cringeworthy reality show rubbish) would have run it's course by now, but apparently there's still an audience for stuff like this. Don't care if he's on the show because he was a succesful rugby player or thanks to the royal connection - it's embarassing and usually only done by broke z-listers.
I probably don't get to have an opinion on this as I'm not British or a UK tax payer, but over all, most members of the royal family seem a bit of a disappointment to me. Best education money can buy, a network like nobody else's and sufficient funds to really follow one's passions, do something actually meaningful, or even start a proper business and all they seem to manage is half-arsed charity work for personal reputational and sometimes financial gain, navel-gazing interviews and books, low-brow reality TV and even flogging milk in China. It's all a bit sad, really.
Having said all that, our elected president, who occupies a mostly ceremonial role like the BRF do for the UK, is also a complete tool and a bit of an embarassement, so I'm not sure what the answer is.
