Anyone else think The Times should not be printing extracts from this new book about Royal Courtiers at this time? Incredibly stupid given that H&M are trying to mend fences? I feel really quite cross for everyone involved - William's efforts to build bridges etc, all going to be in vain now. Very naughty.

What it doesn’t explain is why someone who has behaved far worse than H&M would ever dream of attracts so little comment.

If this really is all about bad behaviour and bullying in the RF - then be consistent. Call them all out.

Exactly!

Even on threads I started about PA when there was actually something happening in the media, it was still relatively sparsely populated. He doesn't attract the ire and vitriol that Meghan does.

IrisVersicolor · 24/09/2022 18:10

Coucous · 24/09/2022 18:04

What do people on these threads want from Meghan? Do you want to draw blood? It's from one thread to another. What do you want to happen to Meghan? Maybe sign a petition and ask your King Charles then put it to rest. It looks really bad that people are so obsessed with her in such an unhealthy way. Even worse, on a forum for women and mothers.

Here you go

Love that, spot on.

She was not a working member - she was told they couldn't help her when she was suicidal because their duty of care was for employees of the palace only. She was told to return to Hollywood and act for income.

Not quite. She was told that she could continue acting if she wanted to, but she didn’t, she wanted to “hit the ground running”. No one said she had to return to acting. Why would the place not be able to “pay for”Harry’s wife?
The duty of care to employees only applied to palace staff. The HR department are not responsible for Principals (Meghan being a Principal ie a member of the family) and not a palace employee. There is constant access to medical staff for the family, as shown by the Queen being under care of medical staff before she died. This is nothing to do with the HR department

Please provide your source - when was this said?

IrisVersicolor · 24/09/2022 18:12

Serenster · 24/09/2022 17:55

Unfounded claims and trash talk from tabloids and palace workers.

Convenient words of course for the people who cannot, will not, hear a negative word against the Sussexes, but the detailed and consistent accounts from a large number of former employees of the pair, many of them named, some junior, some senior, and with many details that can be corroborated, are not so easy to dismiss as that.

(and the victim blaming and smearing going on on this thread is…illuminating).

And one by one the mice on the mice organ appear with their Tom Bower and Piers Morgan quotes…

Readinginthesun · 24/09/2022 18:16

Coucous · 24/09/2022 17:55

Are you talking about workers and employed people? No a free person like Meghan who was not a working royal? This wasn't her job and she wasn't paid. She is not a slave.

Suggesting MM was a slave is deeply offensive and completely inaccurate.

I think the vast majority know PA is an odious man and there aren't many people keen to defend him so there's less scope for discussion. With M&H there seems to be more of a balance of those on both sides which leads to more discussion/debate.

Roussette · 24/09/2022 17:36

Look at the silly interviews and podcasts etc H & M do. Eg Ellen with Harry juggling in the background

What in god's name is the matter with that? Harry can become a professional juggler in the circus if he wants! Grin

Ah, fair play, Rousette, he really couldn't: he was rubbish at it Wink

This isn’t just about discussion and debate it’s about wholesale bullying, trolling and hating of one person on a scale that marks a new low for this country.

It doesn’t make sense that someone would be hounded for wearing the wrong hat but not for consorting with paedophiles and crooks.

I know that Smile
But sometimes there were points of discussion that didn't get much traffic, especially when he was dodging being served papers by NY Justice Dept, and a what will he do scenario

StormzyinaTCup · 24/09/2022 18:24

I think if people saw MM bite the head off a kitten they would be justifying it.

There is a pattern:
We will call out racism but sweep under the carpet that PH has been racist.
We will call out the bullying of MM as being shocking but won't entertain that MM may have actually been a bully herself and we will just sweep that under the carpet too.

Racism is Racism
Bullying is bullying

Neither of those are things you can be selective on.

Yes it would seem that blood wants to be drawn.

There are never constant negative articles on Andrew or Charles to the extent there are about Meghan.

None of us are perfect people but I certainly couldn't survive the consistent onslaught and personality deconstruction that she is facing. I admire how robust she's been in the face of it all. What if it was your friend or sister?

SpinningAwaySadly · 24/09/2022 17:55

Andrew is a massive, massive piece of deluded, dodgy sh*t. He's obsessed with money, status and his own personal pleasure. Why the rest of them (a) have permitted this, and (b) have stayed so quiet about it, I will never understand or, frankly, forgive.

totally agree spinning. I don't get it either. I'm no fan Meghan or Harry but agree that Andrew is far worse.

There seems to one in every family these days.
My uncle thinks he's wildly entertaining with three oranges.
I keep thinking, "Yeah... throw in a chain saw - that's a show!"

They'll both be on Britain's Got Talent before you can shake a stick at them! 😂

It's about trying to understand what has happened so that we can make sense of it. After all, we are the ones paying for this circus. If no explanation is required, nobody bothers...These two made off with a £32 million pound wedding, not to mention the other costs. At the very least, an explanation of how this was ever allowed to happen would be very welcome, together with assurances that something like this will never happen again.

Stop it... 🤣🤣🤣

I would only have to suggest it, and he'd be there! He tried to join the Magic Circle. They didn't want him, I am not joking here! My adult DCs love it when he gets out his 'magic tricks', it makes their Christmas!

Ummm... are you saying, they shouldn't have got married? No idea what you mean!

What should 'never happen again' ??????

SpinningAwaySadly · 24/09/2022 18:40

A long, long time ago I had the idea in my head that Meghan has persuaded Harry to f*ck off out of it all to put some serious distance between themselves and the horribly dogy Andrew, to protect their/her reputations and careers. How do you become an Obama or a Clooney and an icon of #MeToo with the carcass of Uncle Andrew hanging round your neck?

But daft Harry insisted on staying bezzies with Eugenie and Beatrice at the same time that the York princesses were lobbying the Queen in her dying years, months and days to reinstate Andrew to his former glory. This is an absolutely terrible, hypocritical look for all of the 'younger' (now middle-aged) royals.

I really do hope Meghan eventually spills the beans.

She may be a deeply unpleasant person; I don't know. But the press attacks on her are appalling on all sorts of levels and I'd rather that there was radio silence now.
