I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

That screenshot looks like the DFail, so it's all a load of bunkum them!

These so say 'very good sources' need to STFU.

That man is a proper grifter. Usually he can only get the likes of the Express to cover his foolishness, someone seems to have upgraded him to the DFail.

Not that they don't already know he's full of sh**

Hearthnhome · 20/09/2022 18:31

The thought of Harry (or any of them) just being able to rock up to his dads for a quick chat, is really funny to me.

Like Charles isn’t in the middle of what is likely the most difficult and busy times of his life and is The King.

Not sure why people like to pretend they are an entirely normal family.

I wouldn’t even drive to my own dads without knowing he was free and he is retired. If I had something important to discuss, I would tell him I needed to discuss something, and ask when did he have an hour or 2 free. Which could also be labelled ‘making an appointment’ otherwise known as requesting an audience when dealing with the RF

Well, it has been picked up by quite a few publications (I did check as I'd never ever heard of the guy) however, it looks like it's a pile of crap so happy to put my hands up and say I have been sold a pup. Cant people just shut up, at least for a few days?

I mean it's all bollocks, that's what I naturally assume anyway. He said she said, they did, they said.

I'm inclined to believe nobody, as every side will spin a tale to cover themselves in glory. That's H and M or the RF. I don't care who's spinning the web, I ain't buying it.

I really do go by the rule "pictures or it didn't happen" 😂

Add SM & Tabloids making up their own lies / click bait headlines ti create revenue alongside any leaks/briefings from H&M or RF sides.

Best just to base your opinion on primary sources from what you see and hear directly unfiltered from the horses mouths.

Why are people so gullible? this demand of a meeting came from Neil Sean, a random youtuber who is mocked for always having "a very good source".

His biggest claim to fame was that Doria had distanced herself from Meghan. The same Doria pictured with Meghan on a zoom call the other day.

Anyway, this is an actual royal source saying this request was very unlikely.

I really don't believe Harry or Meghan would have been so insensitive or self absorbed that they would have asked an exhausted, grieving and shattered 74 year old man who has spent the last 10 days wearing himself out in the name of duty, both physically and mentally, to follow all that up with a sensitive and difficult meeting.

Anyone could see yesterday that he is nearly on his knees and just needs peace and quiet to mourn and get his head around what has happened.

I very much doubt Harry and Meghan would raise a grievance that he couldn't meet them for an intense meeting in the middle of all this.

Do you think they would put Meghan in an ASDA dress? The rest of the royals wear expensive clothes, it would have looked terrible if Meghan had been dressed in cheap clothes.

Catherine MIddleton wore a £385 dress to her engagement announcement.

There is a lot of space between ASDA and £60,000

Daily Mail now reporting its own story is 'unlikely to be true' about Meghan Markle asking to meet Charles.

It’s actually cheaper to keep him secure if he stays ‘on campus’. If he goes and lives in a semi in Maidenhead head that’s going to be much harder, at the moment he’s in a secure area . A bit like a giant luxurious open prison.

Thing is he paid for a long lease- 75 years remains- on Royal Lodge Windsor and spent £7.5 million of money left to him by The Queen Mother, upgrading it.

The Crown Estate could take it back but they would have to compensate him.

I can feel another court case in the works…

Why would they sue a paper who has said their own story is untrue? Seems a bit pointless to me. They've backtracked.

SilverLiningPlaybook · 20/09/2022 21:02

For distress caused?

Why is it always binary - M&H vs RF?

There are plenty others who have skin in the game and agendas that generate revenue and profile for them directly ie media outlets, commentators etc.

Roussette · 20/09/2022 21:06

For a few hours? That's all it was. I'm sure they've got better things to think about than that trash. Like seeing their children.

My prediction is that Harry and Meghan will come back more often, maybe even for Christmas. Not as "Working Royals", but as family members at first.

Then...who knows?

Charles needs a unified family behind him.

I think he would rather stick pins in his eyes.

I doubt it - it was made clear it was her opinion and nothing more so didn’t require sources and references (that’s one of things that makes it an opinion).

Y Y to witnesses, preferably strip searched on their way in and out, and the room scanned for recording devices - it’s the only way!

I doubt it too. It was very imaginative, anyway.

that Kate is long gone. It’s all about the multi million pound jewellery these days.

she wore a necklace worth an estimated 5 million yesterday and one worth 66 million earlier this year.

i don’t begrudge her it but just pointing out that comparing her dress from 12 years ago to Meghan’s this week is silly, out of context and wrong

Will Charles attempt to bring H&M back?

I believe the comparison was between Catherine’s £385 dress worn on her engagement, and Meghan’s £66,000 dress worn on her engagement. Not one worn this week.

BlueRidge · 20/09/2022 22:22

Laughing at the person who is holding up the five times married David Foster as some sort of aspirational friend (and reported surrogate father) to Harry.
David fucking Foster?!
Do you know ANYTHING about him?
(I refer you to "The Princes of Malibu" and and rest my case)

HeddaGarbled · 20/09/2022 22:28

reported surrogate father

That’s just more tabloid made-up nonsense, isn’t it?

Don't be silly. That necklace yesterday was not worth anywhere near £5million. That's Daily Mail made up stuff that is.

The point was when each if them was engaged the difference in their choices was stark and, perhaps, says something about who they thought they were.

Quite possibly. My point was that the poster concerned was saying how many long-standing/close/supportive/powerful friends Harry has in the US and David Foster seemed to be being championed.

It's terrible and cruel to PC

BlueRidge · 20/09/2022 22:55

@SilverLiningPlaybook Excellent supposition of how things possibly went down.

queenofarles · 20/09/2022 23:11

David Foster put up his first daughter for adoption 😵‍💫.

BlueRidge · 20/09/2022 23:13

Really? I know quite a lot about him but I didn't know that.
Kind of fits though.
Do you know why?
