Queued with the public for 12 hours, and wearing a shirt and tie.

Unlike others who have been ushered in as 'press' or VIPs.

There's SM pics of him joining the queue at 2am and I saw him filing past this afternoon, much to my surprise.

Maybe. He's not my cup of tea though (Qatar - but Prince William will presumably be OK with that).

He apparently was asked if he wanted to be escorted through by security to the vip queue but he declined (this is according to sky and itv news) so fair play to him. Unlike Phillip Schofield and Holly Willougby who didn't queue.

I believe he did. He joined the queue at 2am thinking it would be quieter and he managed to get to see the Queen at 3.30pm. There were people taking the odd photo
of him at various points and posting on their SM (and he shared his box of doughnuts around) - well played.

I have no time for footballers in general. None whatsoever. But respect to Beckham for this.

He does come across a lot better now than when he was playing football . No reason to think he didn't queue with the rest .

Just odd for him to be there literally on his own. Fair play though.

I wonder if Phil and Holly will interview him about what it was like ACTUALLY like to be in the queue, as opposed to what they did?

I am not from the UK and finding the queue and the whole thing a bit bonkers but that thread made it seem so ... lovely and nice and a thing you'd remember doing with your mum.

Apparently so have thousands of others - and not all of them have the luxury of knowing that the queuing is the hardest thing they’ll need to do all year.

I am considering starting posting just a lemon 🍋 emoji every time some sourpuss storms onto a thread to shame those enjoying any gentle fun or enjoyment that might be occurring there. It would save me getting into constant MN bundles but on the other hand MNHQ will probably determine it to be Not In The Spirit after a while and I'd get a warning 🤷🏼‍♀️
