I've seen a clip on Instagram where a group of women completely blanked MM when she spoke to them. It was awful to watch.
I feel so sorry for her, she didn't deserve that at all.
I saw another clip where someone had asked her for a hug, she obliged and when they hugged she really held the member of public and closed her eyes, it looked as if she really needed that hug .
No wonder she ran away from the UK

I feel for Meghan and Harry. His grandfather, father and brother have all been unfaithful to their wives. He wants to do things differently he wants to be a traditional family unit, he wants to be able to hold his wife's hand whenever he likes in public, he wants to be able to hug people and be warm and real with people. Sure they haven't dealt with everything perfectly, but can any of us hand on heart say we could deal with what they have dealt with? Kate Middleton came from a loving supportive family which has given her the support to deal with the crazy life she has married in to. Have you seen Meghan's family? What kind of support are they? Selling her story, disrespecting her in the press. Plus all the briefing from the palaces PR teams against them.
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew, suspected sex offender, will get to wear his uniform during the mourning period even though he too is a non working royal????
What do we find more unpalatable as a nation?? What does that say about us?

^this!

@Aspiringmatriarch

the Rooney / vardy case was interesting too.

Vardy was regarded as having a very good case going in, and Rooney tried to settle a number of times but her lies came back to bite her on the witness stand and she was found not to be a credible or believable witness.

I think she should sue people who tell lies about her! She’ll win if they are lies and she can make lots for charity. She won’t spend her life suing, she can delegate! Why wouldn’t you want her to? Do you disagree with her Mail suit? If she wins why not?

You literally know nothing about the litigation process.

Floralei · 13/09/2022 16:55

I thought they were going to sue the BBC saying that they shouldn’t say H&M “never asked” the Queen if they could call their daughter Lilibet. Not sure what happened there. Could it be they never asked her?

Roussette · 13/09/2022 16:56

LondonWolf · 13/09/2022 16:44

However, I don’t think that the establishment want that report out for some reason.

Why doesn't Meghan demand its release do you think? Clear her name.

So she can demand something of the RF. How does that work then?

Roussette · 13/09/2022 16:58

No. They weren't going to sue

That's made up. They put out a statement

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 16:59

@Roussette

she could contact the HR department, something actually within their remit

Floralei · 13/09/2022 17:04

ok - so they instructed their lawyers to send a letter to the BBC saying the statement was defamatory. The BBC did not retract their statement (as it turned out according to the Palace, that they had “shared the name” with the Queen and not in fact asked her permission.

I still don’t get the issue people have with them taking legal action? They don’t rise above anything really. And those saying they’d lose their privacy, as I have read many times here and I believe it to be true, they never said they wanted privacy anyway.

Maybe she has??. Don't say such daft things, you are talking to me like I'm a complete imbecile! Demanding something of the RF however, is not something she can do. Maybe she should sue them lol

BellePeppa · 13/09/2022 17:06

You’re going to get people who like them, you’re going to get people who loathe them. You’re going to get people who think they’re sweet and you’re going to get people who think they’re spiteful. These threads just go round and round in circles.

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 17:08

@Roussette

You ask questions on a thread with a question and get an answer which you are then cross about
Was this another of your ‘jokes’

sidewayswalking · 12/09/2022 12:28

also asking a member of the public for a hug is just weird and needy.

When did she do this?

She didn't. A member of the public asked her.

I'm not cross about it. Not in the slightest. I just found your very basic answer banal, that's all

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 17:18

i tried my best but the question was rather banal you must admit so thought you’d appreciate a simple banal answer back 🤣

It makes me sad to see things like that. Everyone has their opinions but I feel that she and Harry did what was right for them and I respect them for that. An eye for an eye and we'd all be blind. The media make it a circus and most of what is written is a slurred version of the truth. I don't think you should be rude to someone just because you heard from (a rather unreliable media) source that they did something you didn't like to someone else. I don't understand why people allow themselves to get so caught up and angry about it all when it has nothing to do with them. No member of the publics actions are going to change the past. Hating on Meghan will not solve any issues. Some of the comments I've seen online are just awful. Let her be, she deserves to be happy just like everyone else.

An unreliable media source?
She spoke for herself on Oprah. She spoke for herself on The Cut. If she is now shown in a bad light, it is entirely her own fault.

LondonWolf · 13/09/2022 17:26

So she can demand something of the RF. How does that work then?

Legal action. She is the subject of a report that she would like to know the details of. I don't really have to explain this do I? Smile

Yes, I didn't actually specify she should demand anything of the BRF. Just request its release and take legal action if it isn't. For myself I wouldn't want such a document hanging over my head with no clarification.

Yes. And how favourable the press and on MN that would be 🙄

It would generate 5 threads of bile all on its own!

SammyScrounge · 13/09/2022 17:31

Thymeout · 12/09/2022 13:51

The Oprah interview wasn't behind closed doors. It was broadcast into living rooms all over the world. And they were paid a lot of money for doing it.

Harry criticised his father for cutting off his income and Megan dropped the bombshell of a racist remark within the family about the colour of a potential. child's skin. (Btw, not necessarily racist, but assumed to be.)

As the late Queen said, 'Recollections may vary.'

I can think of a number of reasons why H&M's announcement in the early afternoon of the day she died that they were travelling to Balmoral would have added to the stress of the occasion. Hence, its withdrawal or 'clarification' half an hour later.

But the main one is: How on earth can anyone within the family now have a private conversation with Harry or Megan and trust that it will stay private and not be sold to the highest bidder???

It will be interesting to see what tales she takes back to Netflix or whoever the highest bidder is. If she has nothing to tell she could make something up, like the Mandela story, and we can all laugh like drains when the story blows up in her face.

LondonWolf · 13/09/2022 17:33

More predicting the future Grin. I'm sure there would be much discussion, I agree there, discussion is not necessarily "bile" though and I for one would applaud her for taking steps to have it released.

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 17:43

well she could declare herself the new messiah and some on here would go along excusing it saying

she’s been misquoted
she simply forgot
she made a gaffe
not the wedding three days before story again

Absolutely right.
The only “Winner” is Meghan who like Oscar Wilde likes to be talked about.
Any attention, even less than favourable, is better than a stony silence.

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 17:54

@Lampzade

these are all the defences made by posters on these threads - despite the clear evidence of lying

You’ve got to wonder what the tipping point is ?
