I've seen a clip on Instagram where a group of women completely blanked MM when she spoke to them. It was awful to watch.
I feel so sorry for her, she didn't deserve that at all.
I saw another clip where someone had asked her for a hug, she obliged and when they hugged she really held the member of public and closed her eyes, it looked as if she really needed that hug .
No wonder she ran away from the UK

But none of these are negatives. The last is the sort of answer you'd give at an interview when asked what negatives you know about yourself. 'I may seem over confident at times' 'I work too hard'.

And many others close to them said the opposite. You see?

phishy · 13/09/2022 15:01

Thanks @Lampzade , it's OK, I didn't expect any better from them and the hypocrisy does make me laugh (ruefully) Wink

It’s the hypocrisy that gets my goat too

LondonWolf · 13/09/2022 15:03

Plus the royal family never talk about this kind of thing so Kate has no say.

Roussette · 13/09/2022 15:01

I had a "shame on you" comment directed at me yesterday for something TOTALLY innocuous.

It is designed to shame a person, I'm afraid it does the opposite for me. It makes me laugh, sorry but it does

It made me laugh too (not the intended effect!)

I stand in good company Wink

She's just very LA. Full of self-help saccharine waffle. It's not something Brits have much respect for.

There it is. A little less racism, a little more xenophobia.

Thank you! So rare that people are willing to speak up for what’s right these days.

Ditto.

I've had some awful times on these threads years ago. I now have the skin of a very old rhinoceros. I've had to develop it

I’m not sure Meghan is the most reliable source of information on who made who cry. See legal errors (kindest way to put the lies she was caught out in) and the fact no South African cast member of the Lion King can be found who will corroborate her account of what was said to her equating her wedding to the Mandela’s release.

“because Meghan said so” is not a great way to define the truth unfortunately. And they both know the Palace won’t suggest Kate goes on Graham Norton to clarify things.

I wish the Sussexes would sue Tom Bower. Until they do, given that they enjoy suing over lies (and winning), it looks a bit like it’s all true.

Agree with all this.

Also I really do think that I would want that bullying report out there if I had nothing to hide.

I too would like to see the ‘bullying’ report.
However, I don’t think that the establishment want that report out for some reason.

shedwithivy · 13/09/2022 16:10

A bit silly all this talking of who made who cry. Its all very year 7.

You could have a mild mannered disagreement and even be completely in the right, and the other person could still cry. You can't control another persons emotions therefore them crying is not something you made happen. I suspect both women were stressed and emotional - sisters in law have disagreement about bridesmaids is like half of aibu. Kate may have tried to make peace and show sympathy without accepting that she had done anything actually wrong, or was willing to accept things got a little tense without being entirely at fault.

Really the blame lies with whoever leaked the initial story to the press

I take your point.
I think the problem was that the press were using this story as a means to attack Meghan
Making out that she was this big bad wolf who upset little Princess Charlotte.
The optics were not good
She had every right to defend herself.

3peassuit · 13/09/2022 16:24

The DOC had just had a baby, the DOS was getting married under a global spotlight. Tensions were running high and tears were shed. I can understand that and don’t see how it’s relevant who made who cry first. If they were at school you’d make them have a hug and it would all be forgotten about the next day. Ridiculous that it ever became a thing.

You posters go on and on and on about her suing. Like it's a truly awful thing to do. Now you are twisting it around and saying she should sue everyone.

Bearing in mind, the DM and the likes of Levin and Toynbee make up stuff and lie about her a lot, should she spend her life suing?
No treat the liars with the contempt they deserve

Floralei · 13/09/2022 16:29

I think she should sue people who tell lies about her! She’ll win if they are lies and she can make lots for charity. She won’t spend her life suing, she can delegate! Why wouldn’t you want her to? Do you disagree with her Mail suit? If she wins why not?

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 16:30

ive no issue with the suing - just the lying - and the lying in the suing 🤣

It's not about me not wanting her to. It is about the sheer number of lies that is printed about her all the time. She can and does rise above it

Would you want to be involved in that amount of legal suing. I wouldn't

The AP suit dragged on and on and she rightly won

Ohnonevermind · 13/09/2022 16:41

She won as having copyright of the letter she sent to her father but she had to admit to lying to the court so probably a mixed bag

the court therefore didn’t get to hear the evidence of her friends

You can't really delegate legal action, and you can't necessarily control what information is deemed relevant in a court case. It sounds like a good way to lose their last scraps of privacy and be seen as perpetual victims. Between Meghan and Harry's court cases and the Depp v Heard debacle recently it's been interesting to see what a damaging process it can be. The only winners are the lawyers.

LondonWolf · 13/09/2022 16:44

Why doesn't Meghan demand its release do you think? Clear her name.
