What I mean is that the article never mentions who she is other than calling her a royal expert and doesn't give any kind of explanation as to why the royal expert believes these things, but they can't sue because it's just an opinion and nothing is stated as fact. That's how a lot of these articles get published, I guess.

why was my post deleted? Harry IS famously thick his own mum said so, the couple ARE known for being litigious and I do think Bower will stick to facts and have receipts to back them up. What's wrong with that?

I think the poster was referring to pictures like this of Harry’s address. It’s the holidays - the meeting was not well-attended

(It’s held today because they picked Nelson Mandela’s birthday as the date for the commemoration day. It’s a shame they didn’t consider picking a different date when the UN is actually in session, like the date he was elected as SA president for example, which would mean an event like this has a higher profile).

In what capacity was he addressing the UN? Was it because of his late mother?.

The poster is pretending that people left 'his talk'. Everyone had the same audience. Not anyone can just walk in. It's full of VVIPs.

NM's birthday, is his birthday. They have been respectful to that, not the whole world has summer holidays, even in SA it's winter currently. This will be broadcast, it's not a popularity contest, Nelson Mandela has legend status anyway.

There's still tremendous kudos to addressing the UN, to be fair. I'm just wondering how those decisions are made?

I didn't say that people left his talk. I said that people didn't attend in the first place.

The optics look bad for H, however they came about, because a picture speaks a thousand words.

I think it’s been speculated he was asked to speak by the South African delegation to the UN? The Deputy Secretary General, the President of the General Assembly and Prince Harry all spoke.

He spoke in his speech about treasuring a photo he has of his mother and Nelson Mandela, so their relationship doubtless played a part of the invitation, though Harry himself has also visited South Africa on official visits.

And if you are nefarious, you will misrepresent that picture in a negative way. No one in their right mind will think UN delegation to a NM event got up and left out of the blue.

Not speculation. The NM Foundation made an announcement that they invited him.

The president acknowledged both H&M's invitation and contribution, among other speakers. It's the first thing he did in his speech.

Thanks, @Serenster - of course both he and his late mother had connections there. I saw that picture of Diana with Mandela.

I didn't say that they got up and left out of the blue. I said that they didn't attend in the first place. Very few people attended H's talk and we can pretend that it's because heat, leaves on the line, wrong kind of snow, holidays, ill child, private jet delays, not enough expenses, if you like. If people want to attend, they attend.

There is, however, a bigger issue building for poor H. Quite a few have taken a dislike to this particular politicised appearance. Let’s see how it develops.

I'd find the vaunted change a bit more convincing if a full explanation of the Red Kite incident at Sandringham and an apology for the disgraceful shooting of a water buffalo were forthcoming.

I find the endless criticism of Harry hilarious, when posters don't even look close to home and what the RF do.

That's because Harry is no longer batting for our team while the others, however little or badly, are. Harry and wife took the titles and disappeared instead of trying to help the UK stay afloat. And you wonder why they are disliked?
