I’m not a big fan but it seems odd all the terrible pictures focusIng on Harry’s
1/ bald patch
2/ butt
and now horror of all horrors
3/ moobs !
im sure we all can have ghastly photos but nothing like this was released when he was in the royal family
Im actually feeling a bit sorry for him - seems a bit humiliating and I think they are a bit unnecessary ?

They've dropped the snooze-worthy Pearl.

what is it about? I have missed reading anything about it.

Samcro according to a piece by Meghan herself, it was supposed to be "an animated series that centers on the heroic adventures of a 12 year old girl who is inspired by influential women from history"

It's said that Netflix are losing subscribers hand over fist so having to make cutbacks, and this was one

It amazes me that everyone has forgotten how grabby Sophie and Edward were until they were read the riot act

You and me both, Sortilege; whether it's short memories or - as with so much about the RF - only knowing what some want to know I couldn't say

It's almost as if, knowing the model's untenable in the long term, they're jostling at the trough while they can, and with a future king who has little moral authority I can only see it getting worse

I think it's because after 20 years of the unexceptional carrying out of the more routine end of royal duties, they earned a rehabilitation. It was a long time coming.

And if you look at what the Countess does on issues such as VAWG, FGM, rape as a tool of war, access to education for girls, and domestic violence, I wish they'd get even more coverage.

(But their early days is probably a reason why the Family Firm wouldn't go for a half-in/half-out arrangement again)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 16/05/2022 21:44

I'm the first to agree about the value of some of Sophie's current interests, Edith, though as with all the RF I'd query who's doing the actual work.
However my overall point is that she's doing this because, like her husband with his failed attempts, she wasn't fit for anything else and had to be brought under the umbrella of "royal work" so her activities could be more easily controlled

I also agree that time's moved on, though time doesn't always judgement in those who naturally possess very little

Chilledchablis1 · 16/05/2022 22:06

I used to be connected to a charity that Sophie is involved with and can assure you that was very knowledgeable about the charity, background etc

I believe you, Chablis, though it would be interesting to know how much was the result of careful research on Sophie's part as opposed to her staff.
Ditto whether confirmation bias is at play here, as in organisers feeling the royal they picked to invite is a good 'un or they wouldn't have asked them in the first place?

In fairness, though, many of the RF are pretty good at putting on a good act in public, providing it's kept short; I've seen otherwise sensible people vibrating on the spot because Margaret - Margaret for god's sake - shook their hand Confused
