I’m not a big fan but it seems odd all the terrible pictures focusIng on Harry’s
1/ bald patch
2/ butt
and now horror of all horrors
3/ moobs !
im sure we all can have ghastly photos but nothing like this was released when he was in the royal family
Im actually feeling a bit sorry for him - seems a bit humiliating and I think they are a bit unnecessary ?

@Samcro

Sorry to hear that, hope you're ok Flowers

No, nothing changes. Can't do right for doing wrong. Same old same old

I wasn’t being literal when I said five minutes!! It was an expression.

Well... how would I know that?! There was no hint you weren't being serious!

I stand corrected, it was 7 minutes Grin

PeekAtYou · 11/05/2022 10:12

@PineMartenPeanutbutter I understand it was hyperbole, 5 minutes vs 20 minutes is hardly a big difference in the grand scheme of things. Plus I wasn't there 😉 so just repeating what I read.

Roussette · 11/05/2022 10:19

No one knows. The meeting was done in secret. Unless you served the tea you don't know, nor do I.

eddiemairswife · 11/05/2022 12:16

They seem to be no better or worse than most families. How many correspondents on here write about difficult in-laws, or not seeing grandchildren enough. Most of what is written about the Royal Family is just speculation.

Roussette · 11/05/2022 13:41

I so agree with that.

Families fall out

MaulPerton · 11/05/2022 13:50

I agree as well. Of course they are like any other family - they are human, after all. But, unlike other families, they represent certain things in ways that other families do not. Also, their lifestyle is enabled by the taxpayers in ways that isn't true for other families. Nobody is scrutinising Bill Gates' or Jeff Bezos' lifestyle in quite the same way, presumably because they don't feel they have a right to.

He's hated for marrying Meghan and ruining your royal family.

If that were the case, there wouldn't have been crowds lining the streets to celebrate their wedding. There will always be a small extremist minority who have racist beliefs but racism is not the reason why he gets negative press now.

There's millions of people in this country try, so I'm not surprised they rustled a few people up. Do I think most people dislike them for that reason? No, plenty don't like any of the RF.

I think for those who obsessively dislike M/H, it's a factor, maybe. Especially those who have nothing to say on Andrew who is a greater disgrace to royals.

Basically, you don't have to like them (goes without saying), but the way some people act- they could never get it right no matter what. Racism or general sourness from such people.

Interestingly enough I’ve seen this photo doing the rounds and is the first article/photo on a certain newspaper’s website.

It’s actually scary how much they’ve turned on Harry (who I remember used to the golden boy) and how they’re now painting William (and Catherine) as being almost saintly 😯

That is very true. It's relentless. It's the realisation that Charles and Camilla aren't going to cut it given the decisive moment that is coming up with respect to the handover. We are going to be absolutely blasted with this stuff in the foreseeable.

What do we make of a gasping for taxpayer funded UK security multi millionaire ex-royal-when-it- suits who staunchly proclaims the US as home claiming twenty grand in furlough for Sentebale over the past non-resident two years?

Just askin'.

Presumably it was Sentabele who claimed the furlough costs and not H.

Sentabele is an independent charity set up by H and an African Prince friend. I don't think that means they have to cover all of the charities costs personally.

(This is the first time I've defended H in a long time. Most of what he does drives me mad!)

CathyorClaire · 14/05/2022 11:28

Whoever claimed it, it's unlikely to have passed Harry and/or his PR team by. He's uncharacteristically declined to comment so I don't suppose we'll know for sure but given the millions he's had heaped on him over the decades and the millions he's worth it's not a good look.

Sticky-handed multi-millionaire Mike Tindall is reported to have embarrassed the royals in claiming furlough.

Not being personally liable lets these disingenuous leeches off the hook. What a fantastic PR win if they'd actually stuck their hands into their overloaded pockets and coughed up the small (to them) change.

PineMartenPeanutbutter · 14/05/2022 14:57

Ah but Harry needs it to pay for his securidee.

He is not using our money.

Well his charity did despite a declared income of several million pounds over the two years in question.

A charitable involvement incidentally that has the happy side effect of keeping his profile in the public eye and enhancing his reputation as a do-gooder.

Roussette · 14/05/2022 20:43

That's great! All the for the power of good

CathyorClaire · 14/05/2022 21:09

That's great! All the for the power of good

But don't you think it would have been even greater and way better PR if he'd covered what to him would be small change from his own pocket?

Especially given the concurrent whining over the apparent shortcomings in tax payer funded UK security.

Roussette · 14/05/2022 21:14

Any post that goes on about 'whining' is a bit irrelevant to me to be honest

CathyorClaire · 14/05/2022 21:19

I hope they are not going to film inside Frogmore Cottage for Netflix as that would surely create issues for the future security of the property and occupants.
