Last thread closed so I thought I'd amalagamate the latest antics for further discussion.

Also wanted to reply to this post near the end:

Perhaps the opportunity to contribute via cleaning jobs will soon arise for them, perhaps even faster than Andrew imagines, if he is up to knowing how to turn on a vacuum that is

He allegedly sent for a maid to climb four sets of stairs to close his curtains. I think he'd struggle with a vacuum Grin

Off to read up on the entirely unsurprising reports on links to the fraudster.

throwing massively defamatory allegations about all sorts of other people out all over the place just because he’s an idiot.

He is not just an idiot.

He is an idiot who has used the privilege granted to him by the state and the British public to royal wash the reputations of people who have done real harm.

We grant the Royal Family that power.

Roussette · 05/04/2022 20:37

If this court case was a one off, I would agree with you Serenster. But it's not.
It's decades of deceit, maybe now being slowly and surely uncovered.

I think there’s all sorts of crap due to come out. Especially when after the Queen dies

If there is, it's entirely possible the media are holding onto it for "the right time"

We've seen this time and again, where something comes out that's said to have been a open secret for years among those in a position to know, and the idea that the bits which have crawled out are all there is seems unlikely

Especially when the RF's taste for covering things up is known ...

queenofarles · 06/04/2022 00:06

All the grandchildren will be left a lot of money by the Queen and probably already have an inheritance from PP. They are all very rich but it’s never enough. They’re all greedy and have no concept of living within their means.
Andrew will no doubt be left a large amount too
Doubt they are all rich , but they certainly all have a penchant for not paying for things like rent and holidays.
But people often forget just how stingy the RF are,
Sara York got peanuts for her settlement , £500k for a house and £15k a year as an allowance from Andrew. Thats quite humiliating really .
Anyone knows why Diana got a better deal though ? Other than the obvious mother to future king.

Thoosa · 06/04/2022 00:14

Mum of future king thing was a big help.

Also, Diana learned from watching Fergie’s deal and hired shit hot lawyers, who bargained hard.

The RF learned from the Fergie debacle and paid through the Bose to limit Diana’s need/ability to undertake commercial activity.

I do wonder whether it is a deflection from Charles and his cash for honours business. Funny how that seems to have completely been hushed up suddenly…
AnastasiaRomanov · 06/04/2022 02:39

Has anyone thought about starting a blog about all of this? Putting it out in the public domain? I think the vast majority of people rarely if ever think about the Royals. Many in the younger generation barely know who they are or what their relationships are to one another, let alone any history.
It absolutely disgusts me that they get away with all of this unchallenged. I think Andrew thinks he’s untouchable. He doesn’t give a shit about Joe Public because of what he believes to be his inviolable position, hiding behind Mummy.
So long as he can live in luxury with his strange ex wife, I don’t really think he cares about titles and patronages all that much. Apart from the HM perhaps. That Instagram post says so much about how little he really understands public opinion.
Something has to change.

EdithWeston · 06/04/2022 06:55

I think people here are just chatting about stuff that's in the public domain.

I think people do generally know who the Queens direct descendants are (possibly minus Peter Phillips who is next to never in the press, and the Wessex DC who are still minors and unlikeky to have much of a Royal role)

It's when you go beyond those that people get uncertain, and may well have no idea where they fit - Princess Margaret's descendants (the children of the 'spare' back in the day), the Gloucesters, the Kents

(And hardly anyone couid name the Queens maternal cousins)

RoseAndRose · 06/04/2022 07:00

@Vapeyvapevape

Didn't all the grandchildren get left a trust fund by the queen mother ? I don't know if they have to reach a certain age to get their hands on it.
I'd be surprised - didnt she die in debt? Reportedly £7m

The Queen settled the debts and it was 'only' property and personal effects left - OK, that included a castle, jewels, paintings and goodness only knows what else (estimated value up to £70m, depending on source) but was distinctly short on cash.

Roussette · 06/04/2022 07:53

Anastasia I'll read the blog!

As far as titles, I think his miitary ones mean a huge amount to him. He has hung on to his Vice Admiral title and he was given that after the JE stuff. He was then due to become a full Admiral on his 60th in 2020, it was stopped for now, it wouldn't surprise me if he still thinks it will happen 'when all this blows over' !!
As long as he doesn't play dress up on the balcony any more. I wonder what the armed forces have thought about all of this... comeuppance no doubt.

Rose we never really know, given their Wills are sealed to keep away from prying eyes gobsmacked at the multi millions they've left!

Roussette · 06/04/2022 08:22

And to pile on the disgrace for the RF... Netflix today releases 'Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story"

20 years of letters between Charles and JS, he appointed him an unofficial adviser to the RF, and JS drew up a handbook for all the RF to use.

I am just not sure how naive and stupid they all can be, I just don't get it. I know people were duped, but for so long??

All I can say is that my own children have no idea who they are really and don’t care in the slightest. Neither do their friends. They just don’t feature at all on their radar. Twenties and thirties.

@Roussette I've also read that he served as unofficial marriage counsellor for Charles and Diana. I mean, WHAT? It's staggering. Presumably Charles didn't know about Savile's criminal activities but what made him think he was qualified to give marital advice?

Poor Diana, she had her faults but what did she marry into? Imagine your husband telling you he's found someone you can speak to about the issues in your relationship and turns out it's Jimmy Savile!!

AnnunciataZ · 06/04/2022 08:39

And what sort of "handbook" did Savile draw up for the RF? I'm having visions of the Queen starting to greet her courtiers with "now then, now then"!!

It's a long history of showing poor judgement when it comes to the company they keep...

AnastasiaRomanov · 06/04/2022 08:45

They don’t really understand the modern world in my view. They flail around searching for ways to keep the minions quiet and the Royal gravy train on the tracks. They have very poor judgement and a skewed moral compass. All the while continuing to attend Church and pretend to everyone they are our superiors.

Roussette · 06/04/2022 08:47

Annunciata

Yes. I know a lot of people were duped but why him? Forgotting his revolting activities, he was an off the wall celebrity, not someone with a balanced view of life and able to give marriage guidance.

I've seen bits of extracts of the handbook, gobsmacking.

Vapeyvapevape · 06/04/2022 09:27

I've just read JS sent a document to Charles telling them how to behave in the event of a disaster, the ego of JS and stupidity of the RF is indeed gobsmacking .

Malibuismysecrethome · 06/04/2022 09:32

It was well known in my family that JS was a deeply unpleasant person with an interest in underage girls. You just had to watch Too of the Pops. The RF have hung out with far to many of these undesirable characters for my liking for it to be poor judgment.

Blossomtoes · 06/04/2022 09:34

I wonder what the armed forces have thought about all of this...

I’ve told you @Roussette. He wasn’t highly rated before all this, it was an open secret that his Falklands service was hugely over egged. Now he’s the object of disgust and posters to the Army Rumour Service forum are all pretty much echoing the sentiments of this thread.

Quincunx · 06/04/2022 09:37

I wasn't allowed to watch Jim'll Fix It in the 1970s. When I asked why, my parents said "there's something not right with him".

They never even met JS, so it must've been obvious to any adult with half a brain.

mpsw · 06/04/2022 09:38

His service in the Falklands was not misrepresented at the time. I'll make no comment on how he may or may not have traded on it later.

The mood is more 'How the fuck did it all go so wrong? He always was a bit of an arrogant tosser, but it's got so much worse, Goos riddance'

ParkheadParadise · 06/04/2022 09:48

I'm certain we haven't seen the last of the scumbag Andrew.
I bet come her jubilee he will make an appearance at this mother's side.
I've never understood why the public stand for hours waving flags and cheering them on.
They are all fucked up money-grabbing tossers every last one of them.
