Prince Harry not attending Philips memorial

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry will not be attending P Philips memorial service. What are people’s thoughts about this? Is the whole security issue a smoke screen for the fact he can’t face his family?

I read - although can’t remember where - that Meghan and the DC are travelling to The Hague with Harry.

It's not for me to speak for them, but in fairness I don't know if they'd mind if, as has been said, it's a sort of documentary about Invictus?

They might well mind if he merely uses them as a vehicle for self-promotion I guess, or if there's more flowery psychobabble than hard content, but time will tell

I believe the family is going to The Hague and that security has been sorted for them.

The veterans put out a post on Invictus, and as usual the trolls came crawling in. The vets put out another post saying how unhappy they were and will not tolerate trolling of H&M.
They won't mind the publicity of the games on Netflix.
Last time, The BBC filmed them and concentrated on the couple - though I don't remember them donating the profits to Invictus.

Hopefully H will find time to pop over and visit his ailing grandmother, you know the one he adores so much he named his DD after her ?

As has been said many times , H would be covered by Royal Protection whilst visiting HM . I suppose it depends on his priorities ; make money or visit someone he purports to admire and live 🤷‍♀️

I expect the royals and everyone else will be quite pleased he has an excuse not to visit.

Yes, the Dutch have not said in what capacity they will treat Harry. wether as vip/ambassadorial/ other role in the capacity of this international event.
Nevertheless, their police and gun laws are different to the UK.

I'm not sure either, and through a quick google the closest I can get is this: "Whilst Ireland, Denmark, France and Netherlands firearms are prohibited for private security personnel, they are permitted by all other EU countries despite the fact that European Commission is trying to draw a regultion line in all countries to be followed"

Harry does not need the Royal Family. He is Prince Harry and that can never change.

He has shown time and time again he does not need the Royal Family. Meghan was a millionaire before she met Harry. She does not need the Royal Family. Britain needs the Royal Family. They are a curiosity and tourist attraction, nothing more.

The British media had hoped they would have needed the Royal Family to survive, but powerful people in the US rallied behind them and they are doing just fine.

Wasn’t the media desperate for them to bring Lilibet to be christened? Claiming Harry and Meghan was desperate to have her baptised. I don’t think Meghan would ever want her mixed race children to go through what she did. Meghan is done with all that nonsense. A few things here. Meghan was not a millionaire before marrying Harry. She was a B-list supporting actress in a Canadian series. I have never watched Suits but I've been told that her acting skills were not that good; after Suits she would have struggled to get a breakthrough job, as she was too old to play the the young bi-racial hottie, and too old to play Meryl Streep type roles. She needed to marry up, and she was lucky that Harry fell in love with her.

I liked her at first; being mixed race myself I was truly happy to see "new blood" in that all-white family. But that wedding opened my eyes. Not a single member of the black Raglan family, and a host of Hollywood A list celebrities she'd never met. That was the crowd she was aiming for from the beginning. She confused royalty with celebrity. Harry was her ticket into heights she could never have reached on her own. It's been all downhill from there, embarrassingly so (for them).

As for what she went through in the RF: we have only her word for it, broadcasted on Oprah's show, well knowing that they'd never defend themselves: never explain, never complain. And since then all she's done is complain.

She did enjoy playing the sweet innocent, not only with Oprah. "Nobody asked if I'm OK", she said while visiting very poor women in Africa. All the while behaving like a diva; stories are rife of her bullying staff so much that several of them left. She's very high maintenance.

I understand that she has a host of fans on here, but I do believe all the things they've complained of need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Harry complaining of being chased by paparazzi when he was last in the UK, for instance. I've seen photos of this. He was in van driving slowly away, and one journalist car following him on an almost empty street.

$2 million is a small fortune to me and maybe to you, but it is nothing in those exalted circles in which she moves. She certainly couldn't afford a Montecito lifestyle with that.

I feel no hatred towards her, though; everything I've said is backed up with evidence. She has a very expensive wardrobe, for instance, and lives in a many-roomed multi-million mansion for which she'll need to budget.

I don't have to know her personally to know this ; It's all over the media, with photos. To maintain that lifestyle she'll need a lot of dosh. $2 would easily be swallowed in a month or two just for maintenance, security, taxes, PR and lawyers. That's just logic.

She was good in it, imo her character was annoying, but that was how it was written.

On top of her money from the show she had her own clothing line at a department store like JL/Debenhams. She also had over 2M followers on IG. She had adverts etc. Her overall earning were estimated above 5M by the time she met Harry.

You are correct, you go by reports, and those reports are from the tabloids. Tabloids who have lied over and over about this couple.
