www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/01/17/meghan-markle-complains-bbc-podcast-claim-apologised-misleading/

She has complained to the BBC that he said on the podcast that she “misled the court” in the Daily Mail case.

I thought she apologised for misleading the court and insisted it was inadvertent?

AR’s BBC documentary seemed quite pro-Sussex, so this is confusing.

I hadn’t heard of the podcast but will have a listen now. (Streisand effect rides again,)

Is there some difference between British and American English that might explain this? I cannot figure it out,

@rubicscubicle

Oh please, not the armchair hack diagnosis of a narc again.
It does keep coming up it's true... 🤔

Frankly though I think it's as valid a contribution as yours, which seems to be "JK is a massive meanie because he wouldn't cover up for my H&M even though it could be detrimental to him and his career if he did!"

A bit like young fans of pop stars who get really furious and personally offended if you criticise their idol of choice.

Thoosa · 20/01/2022 18:00

At a uni it's more conceivable,

I disagree. Thousands of students at any university at any one time. Different courses, faculties, colleges, clubs personalities. Any given student can only ever know a small percentage of the student body.

How arithmetically dissimilar can that be to different nights, locations, cliques in a members’ club?

Not different enough to draw any conclusions purely on the basis that two people has an institution in common.

then top that off with the 'coincidence' that Dan has inside info on JK work. Then top that with the fact that neither Dan nor JK ever denied knowing each other.

That’s a separate issue. It has been said that JK knows DW and/or has mutual friends. It’s also been said that MM knows OS and/or has mutual friends. There have been explanations of both alleged links offered in the media and online. In both cases, work issues lining up appear to make those alleged links plausible.

Can’t see a rational basis for claiming certainly about either situation, nor for thinking one situation is significantly different from the other.

You have to be really quite partisan to say otherwise.

Why would you say court employees?

Errr - because your post was in reply to mine where I mentioned the courts exclusively, though I did put a question mark after it just in case

However if you're going to start being rude about people being "obtuse" it's probably best if I don't respond to you further

Well then, maybe the employees etc. should use the same 'moral compass' that everyone is banging on about and come forward. I would think this is even more important actually, seeing the nature of the case.

Hopefully there is evidence that can prove where Andrew was or wasn't on that day. I don't think anybody would disagree that it would be great if someone could prove that the party was a different date or similar.

It's also good news that someone remembers seeing him at the club that night. Hopefully there are more witnesses that we don't know about

rubicscubicle · 20/01/2022 19:00

@Thoosa
The coincidence is that both JK and DW were in the same uni (in NZ no less), studying Politics in the same year group. Not so far fetched really.

In the meantime, there is nothing linking MM and OS at said club.

Which is why I am questioning the 'moral compass' to prove he was there or not.
As you say, an outsider has already come forward, why should everyone not - to prove that he did nor did not go to the club / mews/ Pizza Hut?

@Samcro

strange that A gets stripped and suddenly all these non stories for people to froth over..... makes you wonder
Samcro. Do you "froth" with pleasure when something goes well for H&M? Or do something else, equally unusual ?

Or do only their detractors "froth" (I presume at the mouth?)

According to the Telegraph, PH has launched another libel action against Associated News Limited. no detai,s given

Mumsnut · 23/02/2022 21:04

Or a libel action. The previous one was Megan's I think.

Yes I saw this too. It’s reported in other news outlets as well

news.sky.com/story/prince-harry-duke-of-sussex-launches-libel-claim-against-publisher-of-the-daily-mail-12549791

I wonder what it’s about 🤔

smilesy · 23/02/2022 21:31

Ah, apparently it’s about claims that he lied about offering to pay for police protection. I think it’s the timeline thats in question 🤷‍♀️

They seem to spend more time suing than what they do coming up with content for Spotify and Netflix.

They could make content about their many legal cases. Even Archie's had one.
Chilledchablis1 · 23/02/2022 22:13

I wonder if they will sue whoever took the photos of H and M with Eugenie and Jack in a restaurant a couple of nights ago ?

Mrsoh2022 · 23/02/2022 22:13

Maybe that's why he's doing it then Grin

We will see, although I doubt it, I wonder why.
smilesy · 23/02/2022 22:49

If he is suing over the article in the Mail that claims he tried to cover up his legal case against the Home office, the same claim was repeated in the Times. Is he suing them as well? Or maybe it’s a different article?

Yes, good point!
queenofarles · 24/02/2022 07:53

God! What for now?

thebellagio · 24/02/2022 11:23

Honestly, Harry is such a BAD advert for therapy! He seems to be completely and utterly paranoid about everything

notanotheroneagain · 24/02/2022 12:50

I wonder why people keep on about H&M suing. When the RF sew a lot themselves. The queen even had the same lawsuit as MM at some point, and she is the most praised.

H&M probably have Shillings on retainer and they just have a dedicated team to deal with H&M issues. That would be their job. Other than H&M signing a paper that comes across their table once in a while and nod that yes, you can go ahead with this case, I doubt these cases take too much headspace for them - though the papers want to create a certain narrative.

Good on them for taking these lying rags on.

That picture was so grainy, I suspect it was taken by a person rather than a pap company.

I would love for H&M to go for the YouTube trolls next and make another Carli B case.

queenofarles · 24/02/2022 13:28

notanotherone did you change your username? Ignore my post if not! I might be mistaking you for someone else Smile.
we still don’t know if he is suing because of what was said about him not offering to pay the Met.

I thought it’s the Met who said that , not the Times nor the DM, there were some parts that were supposed to be kept private on both sides perhaps thats The part that was supposed to be kept private? so basically he should be taking this with the Met again Confused.
All I can say to Harry is , it’s really not the right time, we’ve woken up to horrible news coming from the Ukraine, stay put in LA, If you really want to keep your family safe, and look for other ways to fill in the Netflix content. The Jubilee might not happen.

Agree! The photo looked like someone was underneath some plastic, beneath the table!!
