The Star Claim Kate is Seething with Jealousy over Meghan

I totally missed this. The Star newspaper claimed that Kate is seething with jealousy that Meghan no longer has to abide by Royal protocols and can live her life as she wants.

* [strange link removed by MNHQ] *

My personal take is that this is probably over-egged, which trashy tabloids ten to do. But I can imagine her at times feeling a bit jealous of Meghan's freedoms. Surely that would just be natural as she has to follow yet another Royal protocol, and yet sees Meghan doing what she wants to do?

@rubicscubicle

Why is everyone demanding *@julieca* about twin girls, when it was *@BringBackThinEyebrows* who posted such a screenshot?
Because it was *@julieca* who started the thread with a copy of the article from The Star. It's like her posts - fine if something fits her narrative; dead silence if it doesn't.

@Julieca you have started a new thread on this board everyday since Saturday, looking forward to seeing what tomorrow's thread is going to beXmas Smile - its bit a like opening a window on an advent calendar!

Should be fun. I can guess who it won't be about.

julieca · 14/12/2021 20:03

Been out to the pub for a family meal. I don't spend all my time on here. Going to supermarket in a minute.
I didn't know there was a limit on starting threads. Maybe MNHQ can advise me how many threads are allowed in a week?

Gotta love the posts that swerve the issue, time and time again.

Roussette · 14/12/2021 20:11

What issue?
I'm lost!

luverlybubberly · 14/12/2021 20:19

I think that you had a good answer early on. If Catherine was jealous of someone it would be her sister who can do things like go on holiday or see her parents without an entourage or people speculating on details.

Catherine seems to be a good fit in the family. Her ILs seem to genuinely like her and the long period between relationship and marriage means that she probably had a much gradual and realistic launch to royal life.

I'd imagine she is grateful to Meghan because I never used to see positive articles on Catherine before Meghan. Without Meghan I'm not sure we'd have seen half the glowing articles that Catherine gets these days

I’d rather have a chocolate one.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 14/12/2021 20:34

Definitely more enjoyable.

julieca · 14/12/2021 20:36

Well I will see what I can dig up for tomorrow. Plenty there to choose from.

OP posts:
AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 14/12/2021 20:38

I'm sure the choice will be a huge surprise.

@PreparationPreparationPrep

.....but to answer your question op - No I don't think K is jealous of M for the simple reason she wouldn't wish to be a woman of colour for all the money in the world - on top of it M now has to work for her money while K can continue living the life of an over privileged free loader. But on the other hand I also don't think M would want to live the life of Unless you have been brought up in this environment not being permitted to talk would drive the most normal of us insane
Ah right, I see! Kate the racist who lives in the lap of luxury doing as little as she can. That old narrative. Yawn.
AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 14/12/2021 21:07

Yep.

Oh I definitely understood that!

Usually when people say 'see...' it's followed by an example. I'm struggle to work out what the sentence says.

BringBackThinEyebrows · 14/12/2021 21:26

*struggling!

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 14/12/2021 21:26

I wouldn't expect much sense given the inanity of the rest of the post, to be honest.

Viviennemary · 14/12/2021 21:27

What issue is being swerved. About whether Kate is jealous of Meghan. I answered this already as have quite a lot of people. No I doubt she is. It was probably fun working in Suits I expect but as for Meghan's present lifestyle. Doesn't appeal at all. I don't think it would be a picnic married to Harry either.

rubicscubicle · 14/12/2021 21:47

What's there not to understand :
Kate allowed the rumour that she made Meghan cry go on without correcting it. We had the likes of Carole Malone shouting it on telly that Meghan , 'this woman made the future queen cry'.

People had a negative view of Meghan because of this.

Later when Meghan corrects the story, we are told, 'maybe they both cried'. No one ever said 'oh maybe, Kate also made Meghan cry' when it was the other way round.
Instead we are supposed to believe that KM cried and was hurt so much that she sent MM flowers?

Yes, maybe working hard may not appeal to others.

Is it a picnic being married to William?

julieca · 14/12/2021 21:51

Both William and Harry saw their parents tear each other apart publically and accuse each other of adultery. They then had their mother die in a car crash while being chased by the press. They then had their father marry another woman. And were expected to co-operate with the same press who chased their mother to her death.
I suspect they both have issues from this pretty difficult upbringing.
