Interesting analysis on social media about Meghan

Interesting analysis but who could be paying for this concerted effort? It’s suggested that not only is it coordinated but the people doing it are paid to do so.

@amusedtodeath1

Honestly, you’ll be wasting your time trying to do any reasoning with Meghan fanatics using the usual “you’re racist and sexist” argument.

No point in discussing with those who hate Meghan because facts and logic mean nothing to you. Just unbridled hatred for no discernible reason.

Meghan haters and lovers are free to engage in all manner of pointless debates about her. What is not okay is for there to be paid folk, who are organised for the sole purpose of abusing a woman by peddling lies about her, using a platform to spread fake news and misinformation (as fact and ensnaring gullible people).

The British media has either been fooled by this organised group or are part of the organisation.

Biggest question is who is paying for this organised gang to do this.

However, the facts will evade you and you will let the jealousy, hatred and other unsavoury emotions / beliefs take control of you. You life is no better for you hatred. One can only pity those who peddle hate. It demonstrates one thing: they cannot be happy with their lives and for that they deserve pity.

@Why2why your response is precisely what I mean about shutting down any discussion

“Unbridled hatred”. You’re literally fanatical.

If @Why2why is a 'fanatic' , then you are a 'hater' and there is no point in having a discussion with you.

Labloverrr · 28/10/2021 15:30

@rubicscubicle

Yes I know that’s precisely how you reason.

rubicscubicle · 28/10/2021 15:31

The defence of Meghan mostly started when the smear campaign against her took off - mostly from the British Media.

Personally, I was seeing another royal being slagged off, but after a while, it all got too much. Too many panelists, reporters, etc. coming on and saying all sorts about her. I decided to look for myself (as I usually do), but the deeper I was digging, the more I was seeing the opposite of what she was and is, as a person. It got to the point, where I think this misinformation was just getting way too much, and mostly it just felt incredibly forced (the lies I mean). I believe that most of their defenders found the same thing.
No matter what people say, this in your face campaign is very rare, I guess because MM was limited when she was in the RF, so could not really go out and prove otherwise.

Unfortunately, I find this level is more towards women (in particular of colour). You don't have to be sleuth to realise what MO, Beyonce etc. are all about to realise that smears are put out against them.

No, I am pointing out to you, how ridiculous your labelling is.

Troberty · 28/10/2021 15:33

I heard Meghan herself was behind a bit of doxxing.

rubicscubicle · 28/10/2021 15:33

Here is a quick talk from the company director about their investigation.

rubicscubicle · 28/10/2021 15:37

Did the DM and British tabloids even report on this ?

Most certainly, the same tv news and panels (including the BBC and GMTV, Lorraine, Loose Women etc.) did not. Yet, will report any negative that they can find on H&M.

Just an observation .

Troberty · 28/10/2021 15:38

That Christopher Bouzer isn't above tweeting the odd bit of derogatory shit himself.

Labloverrr · 28/10/2021 15:49

@rubicscubicle

So typical of you to say I’m labelling someone. Do you know the history? Yes I find you and her fanatical, calling people racist, sexist ‘haters’ if they don’t like Meghan or point out things about her.

Some of us strongly disagree with how certain press have treated her. And can also find her completely disingenuous.

However, I’ve been implied to be sexist, racist and seen other posters being called ‘stupid’ for not liking her as a person which then lead me to find it all fanatical and unbalanced.

HeadNorth · 28/10/2021 15:56

@Troberty
I heard Meghan herself was behind a bit of doxxing.

Where did you hear that? It is telling that the response to a reseached article is 'I heard this' or 'There is gossip that'. Did you miss the whole point of the article? There has been spin and lies perpetrated on a grand scale to groundlessly smear Meghan with no basis. All so posters can then say 'well I heard [insert unevidenced tittle tattle here]'.

Can you please link where he has twitted deragatory shit himself?

Or are you one of those people that are now smearing against him for exposing the lies and bots against H&M?

Why2why · 28/10/2021 16:03

I’m not fanatical and I only joined the MN discussions on Meghan by chance. I got really annoyed with the nonsense hatred. I’m not a fan of Meghan and Harry but I hate social media abuse and fake news.

If anyone else was being treated as Meghan, I’d be there. I also spoke out against the ridicule of Kate for being a commoner. Point me in the direction of any woman being abused to the extent of Meghan Markle and I’ll be there. I like Michelle Obama and I’m not a fan of Jess Philips or Diane Abbott. I defend these women against abuse whenever I get the chance.

I think it is entirely appropriate to label those who hate Meghan without cause as haters. It is often on account of her race, her nationality or her gender. All the excuses are just stupid nonsense that are not based on facts.

But even if you hate Meghan for no reason that’s up to you. Wear your label with pride. Don’t pretend otherwise because it shows even you are ashamed of yourself.

I’m personally happy to be labelled as a fan or fanatical. I’m on the right side of the argument. It’s better to be gracious towards others than to be hateful especially where you don’t really know the person. Hate is bad for your health anyway. Organised, paid for hate must be even more demoralising as a purpose to one’s day.

Shake of the hate and try to live a joy-filled life.

This is a very interesting report and it reminds of the numbered threads about Meghan on Mumsnet. These went on for a long time & were mostly horrible . A lot of black women who dared defend Meghan were either racially abused or doxxed on here. Tbh I find that some people who hate & constantly criticise Meghan really scary especially on MN , Twitter and YouTube. Anti Fans are a scary bunch. At least with MO things have cooled down somewhat and kudos to AA women especially, for having her back all those years.

Menstrualcycledisplayteam · 28/10/2021 16:12

@Why2why, I actually fund it (blackly) funny that so many people think they've come to their own (negative) conclusion on MM, having been force fed a constant drip drip drip of poison. And even when confronted with the fact that there's been a concerted smear campaign against her, they still can't concede that they've been had.

Troberty · 28/10/2021 16:13

@rubicscubicle - He was having a go at the physical appearance of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Twitter. I'm not making it up.

Exactly !

Also, the people who say but Trump and Bojo are just as hated. Sorry, but those two are/world leaders with much impact on our daily lives. To top it off, they were constantly talking to us about decisions that affect us, and Trump was constantly tweeting his personal opinions.

H&M only appeared for a charity visit etc. SM about an organisation. I found it ridiculous that she would get as much hate as she did because she just looked a certain way when delivering a message to a charity.

Any fool could see that there was something seriously odd here.

Yes, this. Always find it weird.

There is no doubt that there are plenty of Kate (and William) haters out there, particularly from those who are huge Meghan fans, but it doesn't compare with the Meghan hate.

Having said that, the thing I find saddest about the whole thing is that Kate and Meghan are literally the ONLY two women in the world in their unique situation and as such, they should be bonded. While women in the public eye in all walks of life take astonishing abuse online, the way it plays out for the wives of William and Harry really is unique, with the additional element of abuse Meghan received for being black, American and an actress.

They don't have to be best friends, but I've always secretly hoped that underneath all the vitriol and other issues that they have a back channel dialogue going. Certainly, Meghan was at pains in the Oprah interview to make it clear she wasn't speaking badly of Kate and I think there've been the odd (obviously PR-ed) moments where Kate has spoken of Meghan and Harry and their children positively.

rubicscubicle · 28/10/2021 16:46

I get what you say @Triffid1 and I blame the RF on this one.

I feel that the RF could have had a lot of PR photos of the two laughing if they wished. Somehow I get the feeling that they do not want this. In so much, that I suspect even their outings would have been coordinated so that such an opportunity would not take place. Even the made someone cry story, should have never even got out in the first place, other than the rf allowed the story to fester.
