@Why2why, I actually fund it (blackly) funny that so many people think they've come to their own (negative) conclusion on MM, having been force fed a constant drip drip drip of poison. And even when confronted with the fact that there's been a concerted smear campaign against her, they still can't concede that they've been had.
Yes, this. Always find it weird.
There is no doubt that there are plenty of Kate (and William) haters out there, particularly from those who are huge Meghan fans, but it doesn't compare with the Meghan hate.
Having said that, the thing I find saddest about the whole thing is that Kate and Meghan are literally the ONLY two women in the world in their unique situation and as such, they should be bonded. While women in the public eye in all walks of life take astonishing abuse online, the way it plays out for the wives of William and Harry really is unique, with the additional element of abuse Meghan received for being black, American and an actress.
They don't have to be best friends, but I've always secretly hoped that underneath all the vitriol and other issues that they have a back channel dialogue going. Certainly, Meghan was at pains in the Oprah interview to make it clear she wasn't speaking badly of Kate and I think there've been the odd (obviously PR-ed) moments where Kate has spoken of Meghan and Harry and their children positively.
