I like the idea and I like the video. (Not that keen on the big desk) And I though MM looked...alive!

Not sure who the other woman was. But there was good chemistry.

@Cacacoisfarraige
Then I misunderstood I thought you were saying the video was shit so they should knock the video on The head - even though at that time there had been so many talented, skilled and amazing women signing up to it. Let
Alone the positive posts on SM. So if most of the comments were as a result of watching the video it can't have been that shit. But I appreciate we all have our opinion. I thought it was a short piece of fun, I didn't think it was meant to be taken as a serious piece of acting so didn't judge it that way.

@Roussette

Haha whilst I had a title I would use it. Especially if my divorced sister in law had been using hers for what.... 30 years?

Only fair

Think you've got your relations a little confused there Grin, but in all fairness, Sarah never wanted to stop being royal, whereas M & H did.
Samcro · 07/08/2021 20:54

@Roussette

Far more amusing to see them have the grasping titles pushed and displayed at every opportunity

Yeah like Sarah Ferguson. I could link to a totally nauseating video she has just released as Duchess of York, but won't.

As I've said before... they are building something in the US... the titles are irrelevant, they are just known over there. Not sure why people are hung up on the titles... I presume it's the last goalpost...

Agree

Hang on... trying to work it out with Harry. Not sister in law. Got you. His uncle's wife. Phew!

She stopped being 'royal' if we're going to go there, when she got divorced surely....
I'm sure she wanted to remain royal whilst being divorced from Andrew!

I would have said that Harry and Meghan have divorced the Royal Family, so seems similar.

Not really - even HM said they are still very much loved members of her family.

SpringlikeBunk · 07/08/2021 21:41

I do think artistically the video was really cringeworthy and awkward and the "jokes" weren't funny.

But I'm definitely not the "target market" so that's perfectly fine - they're aiming for a younger global/Commonwealth audience now?

I don't really get a lot of American culture but it's what sells to a large portion of the world. Plus I guess they couldn't make anything too "edgy" so that kind of bland "humour" is what was needed.

They'll get big impact and I can stick to my one-liners and subtle, dark comedy clips.

Plenty of her “loved family” don’t have titles
PreparationPreparationPrep · 07/08/2021 21:47

@AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken

But HM is not asking for them back is she?? My response was to the poster who said H&M had divorced the RF -

  1. No they have not
  2. HM stated they are still Loved members of her family.
  3. HM is not asking for the titles
Back / it was not even alluded to by HM during their year to think about it.

@Cacacoisfarraige

Perhaps the video is aimed at the nearly three thousand who gave the Bench 4.7/5.00 on Amazon.com
Is that good or bad rating? Looks Good to me. - I'm not sure who watched the video and whether it had anything to do with her book but I don't think anyone can deny it was a great response in the first 24 hours. Even if they didn't like the video or the project or M even.

I can only see 600 odd reviews for the book on Amazon.

@Cacacoisfarraige

It’s glowing reviews for an absolutely terrible book, so there’s three thousand of the glowing reviews for the terrible video also accounted for too.

How many have signed up now to mentor ?

Oh I see glowing reviews for a book you and some others thought was terrible so they must be wrong. If you want to know how many have signed up can't you just look on the website? Same way you did Amazon. Am I missing something ? If I have so much disdain for a person I wouldn't be doing all the googling that you make time for -'really odd. For example. I have very little Interest in KM (not hatred but little Interest) it would be weird for me to spend so much time On a thread that was discussing projects she had been involved in or one of her visits to a school - Googling for reviews on her bookmarking someone else to google details of her projects. It would not cross my mind. Very odd but hey ho each to their own.

Googling is quick yes - but the time and energy some on here spend Googling on H&M adds up bordering on obsessive . I can understand if you are supportive of them - it's interesting to see What they are doing but very weird when you dislike everything about them. It doesn't come across as Looking for facts more Like seeking negative stories to beef up you agenda.

I counted 18 people showing in the comments section with mentorship offers on the archewell site

Even the DailyFail reported on 26 mentors with of course many many companies and charities supporting this. Why is everyone so critical of this?
It's beyond me.

You've nailed it there. Let's make this idea fail. It will make me happy because it's Meghan.
