Blurb from publisher.

In an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time, Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.

Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, on that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous and uplifting human story.'

I think Kenneth Branagh wrote his aged 28 when still married to Emma Thompson. They were quite the celebrity couple then. I can't remember which one tired of the other first.

@megletthesecond

He needs a better therapist.

I can’t begin to imagine what he has to say. He has no visible talents and is dull at best. I think this is going to be his Waterloo.

ChicChaos · 19/07/2021 22:27

Harry's friends have been loyal to him and not leaked stuff to the press, hope he is as loyal to them in return.

Bluntness100 · 19/07/2021 22:27

I’m really surprised about this, he’s literally cashing in on being royal. He just keeps selling his story. It’s appalling. I knew he had little else ro sell but god there’s cashing in then there’s this.

OverByYer · 19/07/2021 22:28

@Viviennemary

He's worn many hats but will never wear a crown. Boo hoo hoo. That's what is behind all this.

I think Lillibet can kiss her christening in Windsor goodbye

Can see the headlines in 20 years already. Genetic pain still carrying on.
Binglebong · 19/07/2021 22:30

I wonder if his therapist said "Write down your feelings" and he heard "Write down your feelings about how everyone is mean and you're special and sell it to the highest bidder. Then your family will realise the error of their ways and come to you on bended knee to ask your forgiveness. "

I feel very very sorry for his family. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation they don't deserve this.

Didn't he go off with Helena Bonham-Carter?
Terhou · 19/07/2021 22:33

How self-obsessed do you have to be to write your autobiography at the age of 36? I bet he'll be inflicting further versions on us every time he decides the bank account needs to be topped up.

StartupRepair · 19/07/2021 22:36

I wonder if he is going to unleash on Camilla and the pain she and Carles caused Diana. It is such a complete burning of bridges. Really hope he is blissfully happy in his marriage and new country as he will not have a single family member remaining in his corner of after this.

Totallydefeated · 19/07/2021 22:36

THIS

Abso-fucking-lutely. He is the WORST advert for therapy I've ever seen in my life. Who the fuck is he seeing? And what is their supervisor playing at??? Mind-boggling.

MouseontheLouse · 19/07/2021 22:38

@mathanxiety

Yes, there is an audience in America for this book. I have a feeling the image of the UK abroad is about to take a hit.
What kind of Americans? The ones who loved Paul Burrell? Trump voters?

Won't they wonder what kind of millionaire whinges about his dad no longer paying his bills?

Starseeking · 19/07/2021 22:38

@Comeinoutoftherain

I know it's the DM reporting it, but apparently he may have been paid an advance of "at least $20 million".

Michelle and Barack Obama got a $65 million advance for theirs (jointly).

If that's true, there's your answer right there. $20 million is A LOT of money.

He'll be able to pay off the mortgage and own the Montecito house outright with that sort of advance. No wonder he bit their hands off.

CatherineAragon · 19/07/2021 22:39

@HavelockVetinari

Who's going to write it though? He's apparently not great academically, he'll either need a brilliant editor or (most likely) a ghost writer.
It is ghost written apparently.
GerardWay123 · 19/07/2021 22:41

It's so sad. Ignoring the fact he is Royalty he has actively destroyed any chance of reconciliation with his family.

Comedycook · 19/07/2021 22:43

Seems to me like Harry has gone from one extreme to the other. From the repressed British aristocracy to the lay all your feelings bare psycho babble stuff. Neither is good imo

SallyLockheart · 19/07/2021 22:44

And still he claims to respect and love HM. What a shitty thing to do to a “much loved” widowed grandmother who is very elderly. What a way to try and sour the end of her reign.

whatonearthnow · 19/07/2021 22:45

'inspiring, courageous and uplifting human story.'

Harry's story is many things, but none of the above.

CatherineAragon · 19/07/2021 22:45

I thought Paul Burrell was the absolute pits. It seems Harry has trounced him.

Totallydefeated · 19/07/2021 22:46

@Fluffycloudland77

Did he get a bumper pack of crayons for his birthday then?.
Arf! 😂 😂 😂
GreenCrayon · 19/07/2021 22:46

I totally agree with this. He could have done so much good for normalising mental health problems and getting support but he's doing the complete opposite. Now people who have little to no understanding of therapy think this is the end result.

He should in my opinion be bloody ashamed of how he added to the stigma of seeking help.

MissTrip82 · 19/07/2021 22:51

I feel sorry for William. Such a small number of people he can trust not to tell stories about him for cash, and the number just got smaller.
