The royal family's website - Royal.uk - says that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have one child , Archie. I find this extraordinary. You'd think they have the staff to update a website. Are there any informed royal watchers out there who could explain this? Does a new addition to the family need to be introduced to the Queen before he/she is acknowledged?

No plans in royalspeak means probably but it's none of your business and we'll do what we like so yah boo sucks to you.

LaMarschallin · 29/07/2021 10:16

I think Rousette is definitely the poster with the most invested in all H&M threads

Bit unfair.
I'm sure I've seen Mummy195 (or 194?) crop up even more than Roussette when I have a catch-up on these threads.

scrambledcustard · 29/07/2021 10:37

There will be more to come I don't doubt that. Any sympathy they had is disappearing fast.

Well.... I've started just one thread once on this subject. It didn't get deleted and it wasn't full of deleted posts, quite an achievement, so yes... I agree... I'm not the one starting endless threads on H&M on speculative nonsense in the DM.

I have to say, I was a bit taken aback at the post overnight criticising everything from me posting in the first place, to my posting style. Then someone else joining in agreeing, if you want to talk about me, perhaps address it to my face rather than call me 'she' ?

Like @ohforarainyday, I know exactly what has gone on in the past and what still rumbles on. I know what she has posted is 100% true. And I know because I've been at the sharp end of it.

I'm not a NCer, I stand by my name Roussette despite aggro, I have very very few deleted posts, I don't start threads... all I (and Rainy and others) do... is disagree with the endless bullying of this couple and we put forward an alternative view but that doesn't go down well with some people because we have to really dislike them to comment.
Well I don't.

SallyLockheart · 29/07/2021 17:27

and here we go again ............................

Viviennemary · 29/07/2021 17:33

So depressing when it becomes all about posters.

Roussette · 29/07/2021 17:59

I agree Viviennemary . Thanks for saying that.

Perhaps some posters can stop the personal comments.

That would work.

Oldbutstillgotit · 29/07/2021 18:02

@ Roussette
“ Perhaps some posters can stop the personal comments.

Agree .

I think Rousette is definitely the poster with the most invested in all H&M threads.

I'm sure I've seen Mummy195 (or 194?) crop up even more than Roussette when I have a catch-up on these threads.

Comments like this are vile and are bullying. (And I've been the target of many as well.)

It's not Rousette or me or Mummy who have started literally tens of hundreds of Meghan-bashing threads. That was all Meghan haters.

None of us have ever been caught sockpuppeting within one thread to make it look like more people share our opinions than actually do, only Meghan bashers have been caught doing that.

None of us have ever been banned and registered a new account under a new email address because we were so desperate to continue telling Mumsnetters our opinions on Meghan, yet numerous Meghan bashers and Meghan bash threads have been deleted with the "previously banned poster" message from MNHQ, and one Meghan basher proudly admits that they've had to create more than a dozen different email accounts because they've been banned from Mumsnet so many times. I honestly can't imagine being that fixated I'd be willing to go to such extreme lengths just to be able to keep sharing my hatred of some random celeb!

None of us have ever started up an entire alternate forum as a place to say things about Meghan that MNHQ won't allow.

None of us have ever been caught discussing the best "tactics" to get posters with a different opinion on Meghan deleted or banned. Meghan bashers have.

None of us have ever harassed or doxxed people with a different opinion on Meghan, the only ones who have done that are Meghan haters.

But by all means, continue this gaslighting campaign of trying to paint anyone who doesn't hate Meghan as obsessive. The fact some of the posters seem determined to take any opportunity to derail the conversation away from Meghan and onto personal discussion of non-haters just makes you look like obsessive bullies who have no valid arguments to make about Meghan so have to resort to personal attacks on other posters.

Well said.
SueSaid · 29/07/2021 18:38

Sorry to derail I should perhaps have started another thread but has anyone seen the clip of a new programme on HBO called The Prince? An utterly mocking pisstake of Prince George, just seems so crass why would they do something targeting a small child. I think Orlando bloom is one of the voice-overs Confused.

I know we've had Spitting Image and the Windsors but this seems a step too far.

Angrycat2768 · 29/07/2021 18:42

That is a bit mean. The Windsors left the kids out of it.

CauliflowerCheese30 · 29/07/2021 18:44

Orlando bloom is the voice over of Harry apparently.

Roussette · 29/07/2021 18:45

Janiie I saw about this on twitter.

Horrible. No child should be targeted in this way ever. It is said HBO stealth dropped it because they just knew it was near to the mark. Quite rightly they are getting quite a pasting for it.

CauliflowerCheese30 · 29/07/2021 18:47

Quite right Roussette, it's disgusting, and shame on those that have taken part, I wonder how they would feel if it were their kids it was based on.

SueSaid · 29/07/2021 18:52

Oh right it's been dropped? I thought it was about to run. That's a relief. I mean what was Bloom thinking taking part.

It's all just so toxic and horrible isn't it.

Roussette · 29/07/2021 18:56

No no no.

They 'stealth dropped' it onto the channel. No fanfare. No publicity to speak of. They just knew it was wrong I think, but still carried on.

Biggest insult for them has been 'it's just no funny'.

Roussette · 29/07/2021 18:57

Sorry, not explaining myself well. It's running

CauliflowerCheese30 · 29/07/2021 19:00

I'm not even going to watch the trailer

Viviennemary · 29/07/2021 19:07

I think its wrong to target children . Im sure Spitting Image never did that. Anyway curiousity got the better of me and I did watch the trailer. Its really stupid and not funny and poorly done. It will die a death. Its ridiculous.

SueSaid · 29/07/2021 19:39

Ah I see sorry I should read posts properly.

I hope it gets widely condemned and pulled then and honestly I would say exactly the same if it was targeting the Sussex's dc.

Roussette · 29/07/2021 19:59

Yes, absolutely.

You've inaccurately quoted me.
My comment wasn't meant to be "vile" or bullying; I just thought Roussette hadn't posted the most on these threads and gave an example of someone who, IMO, has.

I, too, have never done any of those things in your long post.

I would ask what "gaslighting campaign" I've got going?
I hardly ever post.
