Now being reported in the Daily Express that Harry is working on a new tell all documtary about royal life. This is according to his biographer Angela Levin. And even more disclosures about the royal family are forthcoming. Is this going to go on for years. We shall have to wait and sed. I think its very very wrong of him.

Everyone knows you Roussette - you should be flattered! Smile

Ontheblink · 18/05/2021 10:28

Mmmmm, it’s payback time. They made his mother’s life a living hell. Go HarryGrin

They do. I saw you referenced on another forum for your relentless defence of M&H @Roussette.
Roussette · 18/05/2021 10:38

Everyone knows you Roussette - you should be flattered 🤣🤣

I know Blossom. It was rude. But if posters want to get off on that sort of thing, it just shows them up AFAIC.

How strange though that these people don't ever say the same about those that are anti. Funny that.....

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 18/05/2021 10:59

You want rude roussette??

Nernerdenernerrr. 😝

We are on opposite sides of the camp here I think 🤷‍♀️

As said, I’m not fond of the bridge burning etc but I am feeling for M here as I’m sure this wasn’t on the agenda.

I don’t think things have been handled well by those who may advise them at all.

For me it looks as though it is going a bit away from the master plan.

No skin in this game of course but H isn’t coming off at all well.

Not the Truman Show but the Muppet Show at the moment.

IrmaFayLear · 18/05/2021 11:03

I would be interested to hear the Pro-ers’ view on Harry’s podcast.

IrmaFayLear · 18/05/2021 11:05

I mean his comments on the First Amendment.

smilesy · 18/05/2021 11:18

@SheldonesqueTheBstard. Hope your parents are doing ok. I feel your pain as I have a disabled husband, a son with SEN and a geriatric dog to wrangle with, although “shit” days are mainly confined to the dog 😂

“Not the Truman Show but the Muppet Show”

😂😂

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 18/05/2021 11:39

Aw thank you smilesy

That is super kind of you to say. The ‘turbulence’ is away, both are vertical and are getting more back to normal by the day as they were weakened a bit and being in bed made them a bit more frail. The dementia and the disabilities are there still - not going anywhere there - but it is manageable. Just.

You have my admiration flower 🌻

Oh and geriatric dogs I know about. A wee while ago now. But I would give my heart for her to be back - mess, hair and all 😍

Harry has all the zeal of the ex addict so it is hard to tell where his enthusiasm to share his Damascene conversion ends and commercial imperative begins. Conveniently intermingled I suppose.

I really feel for William, and Catherine who will be supporting him. It must be incredibly hurtful for William, as well as Charles and HMQ obv.

SueSaid · 18/05/2021 11:59

'really feel for William, and Catherine who will be supporting him. It must be incredibly hurtful for William, as well as Charles and HMQ obv.'

I do too. Quietly going about their dull but important royal duties while we have drum rolls and fanfares for H's latest interview. The apple TV 'me you don't see' thing complete with dramatic music is like a preview for a Hollywood blockbuster.

Many people can see exactly what is going on and hopefully one day the penny will drop and both of them, who praised their own fathers until a relatively short time ago will have a light bulb moment and realise nurturing family relationships gives us the best basis for good mental health, not chasing stardom and adulation.

Cinclus · 18/05/2021 12:16

sources close to Harry have suggested that him talking about his father is no different from his father talking to Dimbleby in his 1994 biography. Well, no I’m some ways it isn’t, but does that mean that Harry should also do the same thing?

Given that the interviews given by Charles and Diana were reportedly hurtful to their children at the time.

RubyViolet · 18/05/2021 12:29

I’m no royalist but l really feel for the Queen. The last few months have been seismic for her.
I wonder if “ The Me You Can’t See” was that Harry has always been like this. Completely self obsessed and destructive.

Harry is ultimately doing what Charles and Diana did so really just perpetuating the cycle. It is probably fortunate that Archie isn't old enough to clock on in the same way as Harry and William were.

It strikes me that Beatrice and Eugenie seem very discreet and don't really court publicity in the same way as Andrew and Sarah did. They seem to have learnt from their parents' mistakes. I suppose Eugenie's wedding was quite similar in size to H and M so maybe I am wrong.

Purrsuation · 18/05/2021 12:51

B and E seem quite grounded. I did wonder if H was trying to get his head around the amendments due to repatriation but it slightly came out as a burble.

Roussette · 18/05/2021 12:52

You don't know me but your reputation as the Defender of the Wronged Prince and His Fair Damsel proceeds you

Oh bugger, that's a shame, I thought it might precede me! All that work for nothing 🤣

It strikes me that Beatrice and Eugenie seem very discreet and don't really court publicity in the same way as Andrew and Sarah did

I agree, but really... what choice do they have. Unfair as it is... any publicity at all will just have links back to their parents' awful behaviour. They know this. Sins of their father and all of that...

MrsToadlike · 18/05/2021 12:57

@CallmeHendricks

Anyone else thinking it would make a refreshing change to see a celebrity who hasn't got some traumatic life experience to share with the world? Is there anyone who could come out and say, "Actually, I had a lovely childhood, with brilliantly supportive parents and I'm very happy."
The Duchess of Cambridge did say something similar, on a podcast about motherhood (sorry can't remember the name of it). She was talking about the importance of Early Years and how it impacts mental health. She was directly asked about her childhood and basically said she had a very happy childhood, her parents were supportive of her and her siblings, they devoted lots of time to them.
Ocsetldil · 18/05/2021 12:59

The thing is, don’t we all look at how our parents brought us up and compare that to how we want our own children brought up? If Charles and Diana publicly blabbed about private matters then Harry needs to break the cycle and quietly do the opposite.

'Given that the interviews given by Charles and Diana were reportedly hurtful to their children at the time.'

Yes he knows first hand how hurtful this is to subject all his family to this constant scrutiny. The photo of him as a child following his mother's coffin with Hollywood voice overs and ott music seems really inappropriate.

I wish he'd focus on reconciliation and building resilience. Show how the best way to live a happy stable life is count your blessings while (privately) acknowledging how past experiences make us who we are. Not this constant me and my mental health oversharing.

GlencoraP · 18/05/2021 13:19

Yes it’s actually ironic that it’s William who is really breaking the cycle by giving his children ( bar a few photos taken by their mother and the odd public outing ) a fairly uneventful upper middle class upbringing.

William and Harry lived on the ‘nursery floor’ and Harry went away to school a couple of weeks after his seventh birthday. They had a chef and ate in the dining room, Diana famously couldn’t boil an egg and Charles specified what variety of potatoes he wanted with lunch and had full silver service. Diana arranged for Naomi Campbell to visit on William’s thirteenth birthday because he had a poster of her on his wall, having had three

Ds turn 13 I can only imagine how excruciating that must have been .

It would appear that as much as possible the Cambridge’s have a more down to earth policy. I also know that they have holidays in the Duchy of Cornwall where they stay in a nondescript four bed holiday house with no staff except detectives to at least get some time alone .

I really hope M&H are able to achieve some semblance of normality once all of this blows over .

Blossomtoes · 18/05/2021 14:04

I don’t think they want any kind of normality, they seem to thrive on drama.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 18/05/2021 14:06

It's that "commercial imperative" and its possible consequences which interest me.
It seems they can either continue with revelations based on "my/our truth" and lose relationships, or be more discreet and lose money

I wonder which they'll choose in the longer term ...
