Do the royals watch programmes about themselves.
If a senior royal suspects she's pregnant, who does she ask to get a pregnancy test? (Not sure why I wonder this)
Do they have a GP or a royal doctor. How to they go about seeing them.
Do they have security at the school where Prince George and Princess Charlotte go?
How do they employ staff and ensure they don't divulge information outside of their job.

Most importantly does someone really keep the toilet seat warm for the queen??

They did have an out of wedlock pregnancy in the 90s- the couple were forced to marry, but later divorced.

I've always assumed the school would have security, although not just for the Royal kids, I imagine that if you can afford the ££££ fees your kid is a potential kidnap target.

My daft one is do they ever make themselves coffee?

I imagine being a Royal and having privacy rethings like pregnancy tests and sanitary towels are quiet hard. But then maybe they have a store in the palace on a help yourself basis.

I know the answer to the coffee one: yes! Because Kate made a coffee (might have been a tea 😂) for my BIL once.

Do you think there’s like a palace pharmacy cupboard like an office stationery cupboard, but with Doreen from accounts going, “Oi who’s nicked all the pregnancy tests, there were 2 boxes last week?”

Not sure of anything in the main line (we wouldn’t hear I don’t think), but Charles’ godson (one of Earl Mountbatten’s grandsons) has had a very public drug addiction.

Also I know it’s a little out of the main line now, but the current Earl of Harewood - Princess Mary’s grandson - wasn’t married when his first two children were born. Which means the next Earl of Harewood, currently titled Viscount Lascelles, is his second son not his eldest son.

Going forward Viscount Lascelles’ eldest son is also ineligible because he was born before his parents married.

On the day when Theresa May left office and Boris became PM, I wonder what HM said to them both?

I imagine her having a lovely chat with TM, thanking her for her work, a few anecdotes about cricket, and do tell me how you deal with BJ, then changing demeanour entirely to give Boris a stern welcoming speech along the lines of "Don't mess this up, and don't forget who is Queen around here."

If it is the Duke of Kent's daughter, Marina, she wasn't forced to marry. She had a child and later married the child's father is all, and subsequently divorced.

On the subject of "what the Queen said", I'd love to have heard the conversation when Thatcher had to face her after Michael Fagan broke into HM's bedroom - or when Thatcher next met Philip or Anne come to that

I made a mistake there. I meant Marina Ogilvy, Princess Alexandra and the RH Angus Ogilvy's daughter, not her brother, the Duke of Kent's, daughter.

My friend is royal household staff - they had security checks before starting, which took ages, and a watertight non-disclosure agreement.

Most hands-on staff are based at the palace or Windsor or KP - the other places like Balmoral and Sandringham just have skeleton staff and the rest are sent up from other areas when HMQ is in residence there. They are all moved around when there are functions etc - so Windsor staff will go to the palace for waiting on, room set up, coats etc. She also does maiding when HMQ has visitors staying, or for family events at Balmoral, or summer at Sandringham - they are allocated to a number of guests and clean their rooms, change their beds, pack and unpack for them, and wash their clothes - undies by hand apparently. She also said that the family or group who is allocated will give their maid a present at Christmas.

The pay is pretty much minimum wage, but she lives in, just has her personal expenses to pay for, and is having an experience she’ll be able to look back on forever. She loves it.

I suppose what do they do with all those outfits? I did find it amusing that Bea managed to rumble through her Grannys wardrobe for a dress to where to her very quickly organised lockdown wedding. Can you imagine that phonecall "Em Grandma, do you have something that would be suitable for me to use as a wedding dress?"

So that brings another question how are the Royal wardrobes organised?
HMQ hasn't gained much weight but are they size, then colour like some sort of rainbow?

I imagine casual stuff gets worn multiple times but does dress stuff ever make multiple appearances. Different place nobody will notice?

(Apparently) the Queen lending Princess Beatrice her dress was an overt show of support to Beatrice, who had struggled to find dress designers to work with her post Jeffrey Epstein . The gesture was a visible message to the world that the wedding of the Queen’s granddaughter was an important occasion.

She looked good in it too.

Of course HM does a lot of standing around and needs to be comfortable, but, apart from when dressed up for evening functions, why does she always wear rather clumpy black shoes, regardless of the colour of her outfit?

But that's not really disclosing anything. You could get the same information about what maids do and how there is only a skeleton staff when the family is not in residence from an Agatha Christie novel or episode of Downton. Now what would REALLY be breaking the non disclosure agreement would be commenting on the state or style of the royal underwear

I know what you mean about the Queen's shoes, TrickyD. I can't wear high heels like I used to so perhaps the Queen finds the same? I would hate to have to go up and down a grand staircase in high shoes.

There is definitely additional security at school. All VIP kids have additional security at top private schools in London incl kids of foreign billionaires, foreign Royals etc. Some security are in the class room. I worked for someone whose kids went to a school like that.

I also have a friend who worked at BP and went to Balmoral in the summer. She rarely if ever saw any of the Royals. They live in staff quarters and work behind the scenes so it’s not like you chat to HM or PC on a daily basis.

I always wonder if they have a bank account for general spending. Is an allowance put in there or do they completely manage their own finances from their inheritances to pay things like schools fees, sainburys shopping etc.

It always amuses me to imagine Kate popping to the co op and buying a pint of milk using Apple Pay!

I came across her once when I was waitressing. She was very pleasant to the waiting staff (a good indicator of someone's overall manner I think) and every time I walked past the table she was talking about her daughter. So from that very brief interaction I'd say she was a very proud mum too.

What do they watch on TV?
Do any of them get sick of it and want to get out?
