Has anyone else seen this on Instagram? It's so lovely and natural. Their PR camp are hitting the right buttons! The Oprah interview now just seems so trashy in comparison!

Kudos to Kate, mind you, for making the best of everything.

Dogmum40 · 29/04/2021 22:39

I thought it was great! We are 10 years too and I’m pretty sure Kate like myself has had a few moment where she wanted to bury Willian under the patio but at the end of the day what happens behind closed doors stays behind them, even my own family don’t know everything about our marriage so why the heck would they put all their squabbles out for the world! Great and appropriate snapshot of their marriage and family!

tillytoodles1 · 29/04/2021 22:40

They look like a normal family having fun. Obviously we can't see all the armed protection nearby.

yomommasmomma · 29/04/2021 22:41

@Crimsonripple

Haha I'm totally a Boden and Centre Parcs demographic. Chuck in Barbour and Landrover also! ...I'm their dream target audience GrinWink
What's that then? A terrible show off 😂😂
fluffysocks89 · 29/04/2021 22:41

Isn’t the whole concept of a “royal” family just odd. I mean they’re no better than any of us yet they get such adulation. Weird.

merrygoround88 · 29/04/2021 22:41

I think it looks like the Ben and marina Fogle Barbour ads.

They are saying ‘look we are just like you but, you know, better’

Zancah · 29/04/2021 22:41

Lol at everyone saying "Natural" never has there been a video soooo careful and scripted.
I thought it was seriously cringey.

drivinmecrazy · 29/04/2021 22:42

I feel sorry for those of you who want to criticise the video.
I think it shows the experience of most or many of us have had with our own
Children.

Nothing to do with wealth or fortune.

Port1aCastis · 29/04/2021 22:45

@VladmirsPoutine

Gosh, even the Kardashians come across more naturally.
Grin that made me giggle must be bloody awful then if it's worse than the Kardashians
fluffysocks89 · 29/04/2021 22:45

Nothing to do with wealth or fortune.

But everything to do with PR.Everything they do in public is. They have to stay relevant, there’s rather a lot at stake.

VladmirsPoutine · 29/04/2021 22:52

Of course they have to do this. The very survival of the RF rests on our docility. Between Andrews various shenanigans and the Meg & Harry fall out and a Queen who's not going to last forever I'm surprised they didn't break out into jazz hands and flairs! Expect to see more of their very cute kids and a 'very wholesome family' vibe coming our way.

Sarcobaleno · 29/04/2021 22:56

It is tone deaf schmaltz.

derxa · 29/04/2021 22:56

This is their way of controlling the public's access to them and their children. I wish them well

ExitChasedByABee · 29/04/2021 22:58

@doomonic

what exactly is he bringing to the table to make us keep them?

This is why I agree with Harry about the gilded cage. The royal family only exists in its current form because we the public accept it hence why good PR is essential. Their existence depends on our grace & favour.

I’m not sure why every single thing about Kate and William has be somehow linked with Harry/Meghan or vice versa. Why can’t people just live and let live? I just saw the Instagram video and they seemed happy. I don’t begrudge anyone happiness.

If Harry and Meghan do something, they are constantly being compared with Kate and William. Why does it have to be a competition? Nobody is 100% good or 100% bad, we all have good days and bad days and we don’t have to broadcast the bad days for the world to see.

I am not a royalist but I am a pragmatist. We have the monarchy now, we might not have one in the future. I might feel nostalgic about it but I’m not strongly for or against it. I just see people living privileged lives and without the monarchy they most probably will have a comfortable life and that’s their lot. I am happy with my life and they theirs.

I just feel like the world is fully enough misery that I don’t begrudge people of being happy.

Viviennemary · 29/04/2021 22:58

If we have to have a royal family then William and Kate's way is the way to go.

PicsInRed · 29/04/2021 22:59

@Mistlewoeandwhine

She is a champ, I'll give her that. She's making the best of what she's dealing with and doing a better job of future consort that anyone else I could think of.

He's a fool to disrespect her, he doesn't even seem to get that he's the one "punching", not her. She could do better.

fluffysocks89 · 29/04/2021 23:04

A lot of the worlds misery is because of poverty. So it’s fine for the rich elitists to hoard the wealth (as the royals wealth grows) so we can all be happy? I’m sure people losing their jobs and homes are overjoyed.

Maggiesfarm · 29/04/2021 23:05

It is delightful. I always enjoy seeing pictures of them, this was even better.

They epitomise what the Queen always hoped for Charles, Diana and their children, a happy family life, but of course, that wasn't on the cards.

It seems to have happened for her grandson and I bet she is pleased.

Applesonthelawn · 29/04/2021 23:07

I think Kate is hugely self-disciplined and does a really great job of it. People on this thread just sound bitter that they've been to the beach on a windy day and have happy lovely children.

fluffysocks89 · 29/04/2021 23:08

Kudos to Kate, mind you, for making the best of everything.

It’s not like she’s living a life of hardship.

doomonic · 29/04/2021 23:11

Sorry what's that got to do with my point? Agreeing that the royals live in a gilded cage (something that Harry said but I believed before) is in no way trying to make a comparison between H&M & W&K so I'm not sure how you got that from my point.

The point was the Royals have to do PR & this is obviously the new route, embracing social media etc

mermaidsariel · 29/04/2021 23:12

It’s a lovely video but I kept wondering who was filming it. I think they are a genuinely happy loving family and admire them.

fluffysocks89 · 29/04/2021 23:14

I’m sure the queen was thinking no such thing. Diana was treated terribly. The preservation of the monarchy takes precedence to everything.

ShoppingPrecinctPrincess · 29/04/2021 23:14

Wholesome royal propaganda as directed by the John Lewis marketing bods.

stayathomer · 29/04/2021 23:15

I dont know, no matter how nice it is it's still someone else filming so you can't know how normal they are if you know what I mean?
