Has anyone else seen this on Instagram? It's so lovely and natural. Their PR camp are hitting the right buttons! The Oprah interview now just seems so trashy in comparison!

I'll tell you what I really loved from that video. The gorgeous old horse chestnut (?) tree. Would love to have something like that in my grounds.

Kate seems to have had a very stable and happy childhood. So she knows the benefit of it and is striving to achieve the same for her own children.

My kids school uploaded a 2 minutes video of my youngest class doing various bits. All 30 children were lovely, polite, and smiling on the video.

So putting the Cambridge kids on a pedestal just because of their birth.. Hmm is rather pathetic. Do people have such a low self estim that they enjoy believing someone is above them?

I am worried about being deleted discussing the RF, I hope saying that the PR and advisers brought in by the older one is working and that I think the Middleton family have above average intelligence in many areas along with being very skilled socially in many ways, should cover it.

Felt like I was watching a modern day Marie Antoinette; huge spaces for the future monarchy to play, fire pits and beaches to appeal to the Masses. Look at us, playing with our kids and dressed just like the Upper Middle Class you want to be! They leave me cold.

Cute kids though.

I live in a seaside town that has it's share of poverty and problems. Not unusual to see people on the beach playing with their kids or in the local park. Don't know about fire pits but lots of BBQs on the quieter hidden beaches, local senior schools tend to have "their" beach and in non covid times Friday night is BBQ night.

I find that video a bit pukey. It’s like an advert for something like Boden or a swanky seaside town like Salcombe or Southwold or an upmarket holiday place that has lodges and fire pits.

Not sure why it is needed to be honest. Lots of Kate looking lovingly at Will.

I like them, but bet they cringe a bit when they see it. But no doubt the PR people said it was needed and this is what people would like and I expect they are right. It does look like a film shot for a swanky catalogue.

I liked it ,did feel a bit "Boden" though! The thing is they cant ever win .If they dont release some thing like this get accused of not intracting with their great British Public ,if they do people are not sure what to make of it.! I think they are doing well and look happy .Seem to have put problems with their wider family to one side.

true, but it's 2021. We don't have to put up with the royals.

If the majority says that they had enough, the royals would go. It's high time the public is actually asked to decide on the subject -maybe after the pandemic, we are still stuck in the Brexit mess anyway.

I don’t see why it would be like that. If a presidency was run similar to Irelands it would be a hell of a lot cheaper......we wouldn’t be paying for security for about 20 relatives of the president (as we do for the royals), we wouldn’t be supplying them with umpteen castles and palaces, and most importantly......with a president, you aren’t stuck with them forever, with their children taking over when they die, regardless of merit. It’s wrong on every level.

It was filmed before the Oprah interview. The same day as the Cambridges’ Christmas card for 2020....so likely more than 6 months ago.

I do like them but not sure this video is quite right - it’s a bit too over produced and perfect. They should have just released something they had filmed themselves of them playing with the kids, without the music over the top.

Those kids will never know true freedom, they'll never know true solitude or being able to hang out with their mates without an armed babysitter. It's shit.

And those making snarky comments about Harry and Meghan should take on board the fact he knows exactly what that feels like and how suffocating it must be. None of us do.

I’m not sure I but this idea of “freedom”. Most of us have to work/look after others/ pay mortgages or rent and so on. I’m not sure going to Tesco etc would be necessarily representative of “freedom”. It’s a moment alone, which is great, but it’s still part of daily life. Daily life for them is just different. It’s not worse or better. It’s what they are used to. And I disagree that Harry is right about them being trapped. He doesn’t know how they feel. Maybe they accept the limitations of the world they live in and embrace it, as the Duke of Edinburgh did. If they feel life has given them a lemon, maybe they have decided to make lemonade. I have had plenty of lemons given to me in my life but I have decided that I am going to make the best of it. I do not want to spend my life being a miserable victim. Maybe that’s what W and K have decided to do to.

I agree with you MobyDicks. I also don't judge any of them, I cannot walk in their shoes. It seems they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

It strikes me that most do their best and the few pence from my taxes which contribute to their upkeep is peanuts.

My favourite was about people being shocked/fuming/horrified because Meghan was showing her shoulders. How bloody dare she?

I think the issue with shoulders is when it’s appropriate. Evening dress OK. Formal daytime wear not. And whether you know.
