Harry appointed senior exec at $1bn startup

Just seen that Harry has been appointed Chief Impact Officer at a billion dollar valued Silicon Valley startup.
This feels so unfair. I know people who have worked for years first qualifying then gaining experience in their field, without a hope of a job like this. Harry of the 2 A levels and zero formal work experience outside of the army. He can bleat about the hardships of privilege all he wants but he’d never get near a job like this as a private “normal” citizen.

@LittleBearPad

Have no idea what you are talking about.

H was there in the morning, in front of the stables telling us the baby was born.

Same with Zara, Eugenie or any other baby.

RickiTarr · 27/03/2021 16:31

They announced she was in labour when Archie had been born hours earlier.

Yes that’s exactly what happened and it was obvious BP had no idea about the discrepancy until later.

The announcement came from BP. So they are the liars here then. Why would they announce things they have no idea on.
goldierocks · 27/03/2021 16:40

This story explains the 'confusion' regarding Archie's birth announcement, for anyone interested.

RickiTarr · 27/03/2021 16:43

Harry provided BP with the info they put out about the labour and birth.

You clearly don’t understand any of this so why do you insist on saying one silly thing after another?

Mummy195 · 27/03/2021 16:54

The same palace who kept an eagle eye on MM did not know she was in labour? Try again.

Also, was that an official statement or 'palace source' causing mischief.

LittleBearPad · 27/03/2021 16:56

Here are the headlines.

BP announced what Harry told them. It turned out to be incorrect.

What are you blithering on about? Buckingham Palace did not have MM under surveillance. The different households are both branches of the firm (organisation) and family homes.

They communicate back and forth with Buckingham Palace (Headquarters - you’d probably call it “corporate”).

The different branches and HQ don’t lock each other up or spy on each other. The courtiers sometimes squabble and meal things but that’s several steps down from the BRF.

Mummy195 · 27/03/2021 17:03

You really are very silly.

So are you, @LittleBearPad. Especially when you are loosing an argument.

Mummy195 · 27/03/2021 17:06

@RickiTarr. I just literally put up a lot of examples of leaks on H&M !

LittleBearPad · 27/03/2021 17:08

😂 at least my post is based on verifiable facts.

I remember the birth story happening. If you google it you can read all about it. There’s a link in this thread too.

MinnieMous3 · 27/03/2021 17:12

I get the feeling H&M tried to hide the labour and birth from the RF so they could do a massive Instagram reveal or something a few days later, and feel pleased they had got one over the press/public. I think BP got wind of what was happening and put the statements out, but because the lines of communication weren’t really open, the timings weren’t quite right. Remember Harry’s snotty statement about ‘celebrating privately’ before telling the public?

RickiTarr · 27/03/2021 17:15

Yes you did (and there have been plenty) but you’re not understanding who leaks and you have the structure between the palaces all wrong.

You say stuff like “parking lot” so I’m assuming you’re not British. So I don’t really understand why you’re here trying to lecture a bunch of Brits on how it all works. It’s quite obvious a lot of posters on this thread follow these things and understand the system. You clearly don’t.

Otherwise you’re a Brit using americanisms and not grasping how our archaic national governance system works. Which is even weirder.

Nobody is doubting there were problems, tensions and misunderstandings. I just don’t understand why you are inventing so many stories about what they were and how they cake about when you have no clue.

www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2021/03/27/harry-meghan-truth-royal-reporter/

interesting article I recommend taking the time to read this, talking about freedom of speech and Harry's churlishness.

Seems like this journalist has the same accusations slung at her for not believing everything someone says as racism.

Very worrying times and and the most worrying is that the empty vessels make most noise. The lack of any ability to stay on focus of any inconsistencies which should be questioned but just revert back to insults.

They were almost paranoid about privacy, weren’t they?

I remember one commentator saying that William grasped the quid pro quo with the public & press, and the constitutional aspects of transparency with christenings etc, much better than Harry, because William has received constitutional education and future monarch training and Harry hasn’t.

Something similar has also been said about Elizabeth & Margaret.

I wonder whether the palace aren’t now considering giving the “spares” the same t wining as the heirs? Or whether they should do? It might help avoid certain problems.

BalloonSlayer · 27/03/2021 17:22

Of course she didn't just want a "holiday in the sun" ! I made it clear that was something I imagined, and you have turned that into a stick to beat Meghan with!

The reason I suggested abroad is that the UK in Winter is not the most uplifting place, even to lifelong residents, or someone who has lived in Toronto, and I wouldn't blame Meghan if she thought somewhere abroad suggested by her friends who had been there might be preferable than somewhere like The Priory, as a pp suggested. If she had gone there the press would have had a field day with accusations of substance abuse. She couldn't win.

Mummy195 · 27/03/2021 17:23

Your post is based on a website reporting.

The RF keeps their official statements on their website. There is nothing on there about how labour is going, not for any of the RF births. The only official statement I remember is the one that was displayed at BP and is still on the RF website. I do not at all remember BP putting out an official statement, confusing ppl about the labour - only 'sources' and tabloid speculation.

so @MinnieMous3, is it that the palace were playing some kind one upmanship over game, over H&M's own baby?

Lauren15 · 27/03/2021 17:27

The public didn’t know that Harry had had therapy until he announced it himself.

LittleBearPad · 27/03/2021 17:28

I remember the news reports on the day. It definitely happened.

Perhaps you are American as another poster suggests and the timing difference meant it was cleared up by the time you woke up.

Marmaladeagain · 27/03/2021 17:30

the peculiar thing is the people questioning things are ultimately standing up for freedom of speech.

H&M just happen to the be latest in a long line of hypocrites wanting the public to swallow baloney and bestow them with qualities patently absent.

The unpleasantness against the right for others to have that freedom of speech is shocking. They won't ever win though and ultimately wasting their time, but I shall always join in a conversation about any hypocrites in public life.

People won't stop discussing an issue because some are offended.

Marmaladeagain · 27/03/2021 17:32

Oh yes I believe you're correct there LittleBear

Mummy195 · 27/03/2021 17:32

@RickiTarr

I am not MM, so please don't try that with me. Been here long enough to know the strategy that if you like MM, you are 'foreign'. Well done strategy. I am British born and bred with a long family tree. Not all British are xenophobic.

Parking lot was actually used a lot regarding that story, I assume because it was not a parking space. Used by British writers too.

For the love of God, yes BP did put out a statement. It turned out the baby had been born already when it was issued, but they clearly didn't know. M and H hadn't told them quite obviously. So yet again, the British public misled.

I don’t think anyone thinks you’re Meghan Confused Grin

But parking lot isn’t a British phrase and you do seem to not understand certain things.
