I watched it last night in Australia. I feel like I watched something totally different to you lot the way you're going on about it.

I think she came across quite well, actually.

How was that huge wedding ever going to be about them?? Sure she made some decisions, but there would have been a hell of a lot of decisions that would either have been taken completely out of their hands or been presented to them as "you can have A, B or C" and none of the other options traditionally open to a bride and groom.

I feel a degree of sympathy with everyone involved. Except Oprah who is being strangely annoying, not like her old “Oprah show” self.

I think she's telling her truth. She came in and has admitted she had no understanding of the Monarchy as most Americans don't - to them our Royalty are heavily romanticised, whereas for us Brits we know that it is a dull and stifled life, as if the Royals start enjoying themselves too much or exceed their station there may be a revolution ahead so its a careful balancing act.

They had security up until they stepped down as senior working royals. Once they had done that, the British taxpayer couldn't be expected to foot the bill.
