I haven’t RTFT.
I think the way some of the press treated her was terrible. But I also thought there was a lot of affection and hope when M&H got together - another sign of things moving on and improving, hope for the future.
Sorry, but as an independent woman, there is no way she wouldn’t have done the tiniest bit of online surfing in relation to her prince, his family or royal life. And, if she really didn’t, then she’s a blooming idiot.
For me, the biggest point is with regards to the colour of their baby’s skin. It is, and should be shocking. But it is marred by two things - firstly, the recall of when the comments were made (she said while pregnant, he said in the early days). Secondly - you don’t drop a half grenade like that, and then say you’re not saying anymore due to potential damage. Bloody call out the person, when it was said etc. They want to change the world, so start by challenging and calling out the one arena that you have intimate knowledge of - don’t just lob a half-arsed comment out there which now obviously has millions of online speculation comments across multiple platforms.
I was absolutely routing for them when they met, I loved the wedding and I really thought they could offer something new and fresh to the RF.
Kind of changing my mind now. And why on Earth was there literally no mention of relations with her family? It seemed a very one-sided interview - and I don’t believe they had no advance warning of questions. No matter how good an actress/actor you might be, not a single question seemed to take them by surprise.
I really hope this is done now. They have a new baby arriving in the summer, I hope all goes well and that they can settle down into a life away from the RF and pursue what makes them happy. That’s what they wanted. They now need to work towards that as a family.
