Given cancel culture is rife, I'm extremely surprised that Harry's racism hasn't been brought under the spotlight in the US yet. It's well documented and repeated - not something someone would have to trawl through Twitter for.
I also don't think £75m is the amount it seems to mere mortals. That will include substantial production costs and salaries for someone to do the actual work.
Actors are usually given production credits EITHER as a tribute to their star power, or because they show long term connection to the role/talent enough to take a role on production.
But part of the cachet is having that sort of money to bandy about on known names. Hands up if you'd heard of Tyler Perry before this? Or if you'd bat an eyelid at him being given £75m to produce content?
The £75m is a payment that comes with a lot of strings attached - to pay for the creation of the work, and more critically, to perpetually self promote yourself to be worthy of the price tag.
I actually used to employ a woman who was a minor celebrity in the late nineties. She made a huge amount of money, but they both encourage and require you to spend it in ways that don't encourage long term prosperity - it's all part of the image and lifestyle they sell. Which is why she ended up cleaning hotels before working for us.
(incidentally, I ended up firing her for racism)
