News on Meghan and Harry

Since they are in the news more or less daily why not a thread on this. Latest I've read over the last few days is that Meghan is going to produce a film from a book. And later this month she is teaming up with Michelle Obama for project on gender equality. Both sound interesting projects.

Maybe the fact the post you are all fawing over opened with an unpleasant and irrelevant personal attack on MM's appearance may have had something to do with its deletion?

I am not sure why everyone is so annoyed by MM's pleasant speech but delighted by an angry diabtribe against it. Very odd.

Brilliant post aroseinharlem that I don't think broke any guidelines. I'm glad I saw it last night before it was deleted.

Meghan had absolutely no right to give her (motivational? evangelist?) empty rhetoric in the same arena as Michelle Obama and Hilary Clinton. Of all the various demonstrations of hypocrisy, it's the fauxminism that bothers me the most.

The deletions are just getting downright tedious now. It’s guaranteed that if someone writes a really incisive, well thought out well articulated post, it will disappear overnight. We have to wonder what’s going on.

Are moderation standards so very different at night or is it in some way time zone related?

MM has always been about female empowerment, and it's a shame it's criticised so vociferously on what is a female forum, MN.
She urged young girls to support and build each other up in the fight against gender inequality and racism.
Really don't know what's so wrong with that. That is what she's about and if it empowers just one young person, good.
Yes there was some waffle, I haven't listened to all the speakers, no doubt there was some waffle in their speeches too. She was encouraging young people to use their voices and that can only be a good thing.

Do think it's wrong to criticise her appearance in such a detailed way. Just not fair.

ARoseInHarlem's post didn't critique MM's appearance in a detailed way. I've just read it again to check.

But of course, that's not the reason it was deleted was it? It was the content which certain posters personally disagree with, because any intelligent criticism is not allowed.

What is going on here. There was nothing wrong with what Rose wrote.
Is MN taking it upon themselves to delete posts or are people reporting them first?

Anyone who thinks it's okay to include Laverne Cox as one of their 'inspirational women of the year', married to a man who last year championed Mermaids is not all about female empowerment, other than her own.

There was a passing reference in Rose's post to MM's appearance which consisted of eight words, none of them descriptive or judgmental. I can post them if you need a reminder.

I also screen shot A Rose in Harlems post. It was articulate and well thought out. I'm disappointed that someone on this tread felt the need to report it and that MNHQ deleted it.

If it was deleted due to the comments on her appearance it's a wonder why mines from yesterday wasn't we I posted I didn't even recognise her and thought she was Cheryl Cole.

As I said about the deletions the other night: it’s MM’s friends! Isn’t it? It’s the over sensitive MM and her cabal and MN are scared! (Just joking MN)!

It does seem strange that it’s always at night, which is daytime in the US. It can’t be a coincidence .

I also thought that Meghan looked very different in the video
Hair much longer and face features looked different
Could be all to do with make up and highlighting but she did certainly look different

MM definitely looked very different.

She certainly looked more LA than Duchess. Which is fine because that's what she has opted for.
