Since they are in the news more or less daily why not a thread on this. Latest I've read over the last few days is that Meghan is going to produce a film from a book. And later this month she is teaming up with Michelle Obama for project on gender equality. Both sound interesting projects.

From Harry’s talk, he doesn’t seem to understand a lot of what he are saying about the Commonwealth (he confused it for the U.K. at times)

Unfortunately this is what can happen when any of the RF go off piste in their yammerings

Lacking any real skills of their own, it tends to work best when they employ genuine intellectuals, environmentalists or whatever to tell them what to say, who'll then step back while the RF receive all the credit and tell them afterwards how wonderful they were

Samcro · 12/07/2020 12:16

oh you mean when she had just had a baby and she looked emotional. really!!
And PA right at the front!! but its M that get pulled apart.
(you couldn't make it up)

I got the impression that Archie was crying in the room behind the balcony and she really wanted to go to him, hence her distress, but there's no way of knowing that.

Well quite, so that would be speculation.

I think the point of their exchange is that she was talking and inattentive when she shouldn't have been, and Harry pulled her up on it as unobtrusively as he could. She would have been really pissed off if someone else had done it.

Samcro · 12/07/2020 12:29

that was how long ago??? 2019?

MillyDilly · 12/07/2020 12:30

Goodness. That’s a bit of a leap of imagination isn’t it?

Samcro · 12/07/2020 12:32

so people are still finding fault with M
yet no mention of PA being front and centre...............

SuckingDieselFella · 12/07/2020 12:38

Well no, there wouldn't be any mention of Andrew when the thread is about Harry and Megan. Confused

Feel free to start your own thread about Andrew's balcony appearances.

Blossom513 · 12/07/2020 12:40

What exactly would you like people to say about PA Samcro? He's just stood there doing nothing. This thread is about H&M. If you want to discuss PA there are other threads about him.

Samcro · 12/07/2020 12:42

really thats your answer.
M had not long had a baby, as anyone who has been there knows it plays havoc with your emotions.
yet she is still being ripped apart years later.
maybe she wasn't happy being near PA.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/07/2020 12:44

didn't William advise H not to marry M so quickly?

that was how long ago??? 2018? Wink

WindsorBlues · 12/07/2020 12:44

Why do the Pro Meghan posters always pull PA into discussions? Just because posters have problems with MM doesn't meant we support PA.

Why are you not conplaining about PA being on the balcony Because this is a thread about PH and MM, duh.

PA is a disgusting pig who should be made to fully co operate with the FBI and then prosecuted. I'm sure this is the one thing on this thread we can all agree with.

CallmeAngelina · 12/07/2020 12:46

But this isn't a thread about Prince Andrew. Plenty of criticism about him on other threads on here if you care to join one.
That said, I have to agree that she does look upset in that clip, which is sad. Really (and I am no fan any longer. I was but not now). However, I don't think Archie would have been anywhere near the proceedings, but tucked away with a nanny somewhere. And if she was turning round because she could hear him crying, then Harry would surely have reacted differently? Maybe an involuntary glance behind too? I can't see him giving the response he gave (from a lip reader) if it was about Archie crying.

SunbathingDragon · 12/07/2020 12:47

I’ve never expected that the nannies and babies/children are anywhere other than at home whilst members of the RF carry out duties. Does anyone know for sure what the protocol is? I would have thought that the room behind the balcony wouldn’t really have been an appropriate place for them to be but that’s purely my speculation.

Roussette · 12/07/2020 12:48

We are quite entitled to talk about Andrew on any thread, especially one like this on Harry a member of the RF.
We mention the Queen, Prince Phillip and other royals, why not Andrew?

Nishky · 12/07/2020 12:48

I didn’t realise that the clip of her looking upset on the balcony was after Archie was born.

I tend to think in a typical mumsnet phrase that Meghan has a bit of a DH problem, and that is not a dig at Harry as I think he is suffering and struggling. When they came over for the Commonwealth service I think Meghan was trying to be positive and show good manners by smiling and smiling.

SunbathingDragon · 12/07/2020 12:49

We can add that to the list of rules for this thread then. You seem to have plenty of them including who people can and cannot be compare to etc...
Roussette · 12/07/2020 12:49

Actually I'll answer my own question on that... maybe it's because he has done a lot worse than Meghan Markle.

Roussette · 12/07/2020 12:51

Not sure what you mean Sunbathing.
I've not made up any rules for this thread

ajandjjmum · 12/07/2020 12:53

His presence was hardly a surprise - if this was shortly after Archie was born, she had a great excuse for not attending. She clearly wanted to be there.

SuckingDieselFella · 12/07/2020 12:55

Why? Had he just farted?

This was months before the allegations that he had sex with young girls. At that stage Epstein was just another of his dodgy friends. And it isn't 'years later'. This was June 2019!

You need to get a grip on basic facts.

ajandjjmum · 12/07/2020 12:56

Possibly - but we don't know that he has. What about innocent until proven guilty? And if he is, he deserves everything thrown at him. But it is not cut and dried.
SunbathingDragon · 12/07/2020 12:57

@Roussette

Not sure what you mean Sunbathing. I've not made up any rules for this thread
You are frequently busy telling people what they can and cannot do, what the can and cannot think, what is (in your opinion) ridiculous is etc. I think it’s very strange you don’t realise or remember this - most people say what they think instead of being so insistent they are right and others wrong.
WindsorBlues · 12/07/2020 12:57

Also add to the ridiculous rules being imposed that you are allowed to speculate about why MM is upset and who could have upset her but your not allowed to speculate on her (widely reported) bad behavior or attitude towards others.

if she is upset on the balcony it appears to be from from what PH said so as a PP said more a DH problem....

CallmeAngelina · 12/07/2020 12:59

She didn't turn up to the State dinner for Trump, presumably because she didn't care for him, so I'm going to presume that she would also boycott Prince Andrew in the same grounds if she chose. After all, she could have used the same "maternity leave" reason.
