I wonder if MM misses her old life in Toronto where she was just famous enough to feel important but still enjoyed peace and privacy. All she had to worry about about each month was covering her own rent and living expenses. Her apartment looked beautiful from some photos someone posted in a pervious thread. She could come home each day, enjoy a glass of wine, play with her dogs and work on the Tig.
Now she's clearly bitten off more than she can chew and there's no going back. She and Archie will need security for the rest of their lives. It's hard to pity them but imagine thinking about the future knowing you have to drum up astronomical sums every year just reach a baseline level of safety that ordinary people enjoy for free. That's not even including additional debt from Frogmore, legal doom from Sunday Times and half-assed attempts at charity in between trying to keep a hundred balls in the air.
The thing about the book is that it will change absolutely nothing. People who already dislike them will simply marvel at the self-indulgent tripe being brought out in the midst of a global pandemic. People who love them will enjoy the book but they were supporters anyway. The Mail's lawyers will rake through every word looking for loopholes for the court case so there's a massive legal risk (maybe why they're pretending they had nothing to do with it now). Unless they drop a few massive bombshells the book is not going to "convert" anyone who dislikes them into liking them.
Found it was odd that they didn't post anything about their wedding anniversary? Fair enough that their instagram account is gone but how do they plan to reach world domination without even a social media presence? You can easily change usernames on Instagram so they could have renamed SussexRoyal to something else and kept the followers. With their status they could simply pick up the phone and someone at Facebook will personally sort it out for them. They can have a new verified account for Archewell within minutes. The fact that there still isn't one seems quite odd and foreboding.
