Hasn’t it been said somewhere that Charles will remain at Clarence House once he becomes King, with BP being kept for state functions? I always thought Highgrove would go to Harry but I’m not seeing that happening now.

I wonder if W&K will upgrade to Sandringham, as I can't see Charles wanting to give up Highgrove and the garden he created.

I also wonder if much of the bowing and curtseying will stop when Charles becomes king; I'm convinced it will when W takes the throne. It does seem a very odd custom amongst family members in the 21C and I could see MM having difficulty with that.

I somehow doubt Meghan would have had a problem with people curtsying to her, though.

The screen thing is interesting. I read somewhere that H&M are looking at real estate properties, which are highly unsuitable for their needs. From memory this was in an interview with a former sas operative, who predicted if they did buy one of the houses they were looking at, they’d last 6 months before selling up and moving to something more suitable. Ie fortress, gated, obscure etc.

I realise folk are expected to bow and scrape to him now, but can you really see Charles foregoing the much greater version which goes with being monarch - or passing up the chance for his ghastly OH to join in?

Meghan probably dreams of a silicone valley bazillionaire (similar to Serena) and being free to live a life of luxury and capitalism without being judged. Being royal is really a shit deal, it's all platitudes, patronages and cringy messages that don't have any substance, similar to what Harry has been putting out. They couldn't even put in the effort to have good lighting, make eye contact and not read off a teleprompter. Any teenager on Youtuber can film better videos than that.

Agree with PP that CV will make a massive dent in their plans. Many companies will go bust, the film industry is shaky and people on longer have money to spend on frivolous things (ie whatever M is planning to peddle). M&H will probably end up leeching off rich friends rather than generating any sort of income. They're probably very popular in wealthy circles, almost like mascots. Epstein loved having Andrew around and would brag to everyone he met that he was friends with a Prince.

Slight derail but I was watching Prince Charles read from George V1 's diary on Instagram and was intrigued by a picture of him with a bride on his arm in the background. I think it must be Alexandra Knatchbull who was a Goddaughter of Princess Diana.

Unless they start hanging out with shady financiers/oligarchs, I don’t think H&M are in anywhere near the same league of sleaze. However, it’s a slippery slope. Even Diana was associated with shady characters (Fayeds) before her death.

I don't think Harry has a clue how much money this lifestyle is going to cost him. Fergie ran up huge debts and lived nowhere near as lavishly as those two. Four million she owed at one time.

They must be spending a fortune on all these PR and diary people they keep hiring. And paying off all the ones that were "let go" at short notice. If you want job security I'd be looking for different employers.

Guess it doesn't normally matter because Tyler Perry can get on with his life without press trying to photograph him or randoms poking around to look in. Bet he paid for the screens to be fitted too. They really ought to feel bad for managing to blag off so many people at the same time - Charles, American millionaires, Russian oligarchs, the British taxpayer..
