This x 1000. Megxit was planned before or at the time of wedding, there’s solid proof with applications for trademarks etc. Refusing HMQ offer of lowkey wedding and no titles and pressing ahead with a 20mil wedding is the con of the decade.

Brad and Angelina lived in London for years completely under the radar. Very few reports of what they were up to, and occasionally were spotted on family outings without much, or any, security. I’m told they frequented Legoland (in Windsor, of all places) and always refused special treatment and closing off the area they are in. They were never bothered by the public.

No indication as to what's rent and what's repayment. £18k per month comes to £2.4m over eleven years and interest free. Are we to assume that amount will be turned over to the public purse are we to assume the lavishly refurbished gaff is for them to use rent free?

I wonder if Frog Cott is being used as their official UK residence for US visa and tax purposes? Doesn't the UK have to be Harry's country of domicile if he's classified as a visiter in the US?

I think the renovation came out of the sovereign grant - money given by the government (public) in exchange of royal duties. So it needs repaying back to the pot to be used by working royals.

I don't particularly care for Lady C but I do think she's quite astute. I heard her interviewed around the time of the wedding and she clearly wasn't enamoured of MM. Nor was Ann Widdecombe. Both said they were "cautious" about her and that time would tell.

I see the discussion on the rent is ensuing.

Does anybody know if there's been any truth in any of Lady CC's other books? Looking back in hindsight?

Lady C's first book on Diana was uncannily accurate. She described her difficult marriage and also named the series of 'confidants' Diana had had. This was before any of this was public knowledge. Lady C was slated at the time but eventually it became obvious that nearly everything she wrote was true.

I think she’s an odd woman but do agree she’s astute and intelligent. I’ll be laughing if her book sells better than Cry for Freedom.

Ann Widdecombe had Meghan sussed from the start. Carole Malone isn't a fan either.

The Blind Gossip sites were hinting (or more than that) years back now about trouble in paradise. They were house-hunting in Malibu/LA at least a year ago. The rift between the Cambridge's and H&M were alluded to very early on.

I tend to worry more about how things are behind the scenes when there are ‘how wonderful if all is’ stories appearing from ‘friends’

So I take background level of articles with carping/niggles as a positive sign that things are normal

Catinb0oots - A few years ago she wrote a book on the Queen and Prince Phillip which was blasted as being distasteful, unnecessary and tawdry. It was met with wide criticism from royal experts with one highlighting that she had never seen Lady CC with a member of the royal family.
Commentator and author Judy Wade said "You can say anything whatever you like about the queen because she won't sue, but it doesn't mean it is true. The Queen's former press Secretary said." I will not dignify anything Lady CC writes or says with a comment".

That's the nature of gossip. But some of it will be true and she's better placed than many to know which is and which isn't.
