Interesting, thanks

Roussette · 04/05/2020 19:25

I bet the RF manage to get their hair cut!

Top tip from me... do not borrow someone's hairdressing scissors and cut your DH/DP's hair unless you know what you're doing.
All I can say is...good job he isn't seeing anyone except on zoom Grin

I bet Harry is managing a haircut somehow because his hair grows out and not down... William not such a problem lol

LittleBearPad · 04/05/2020 19:28

I read that H had been attending the RM event for years. What that really consists of is H standing there every year, other than giving support, I am not too sure of what else he brings.

You’re right. We’ll scrap the Cenotaph ceremony. I mean it’s only people standing there... Shock Angry

You can spin it any which way you want Mummy. But Harry should have been at the Royal Marines event.

Cerseirys · 04/05/2020 19:56

William's hair would be easy enough Rousette - he just has to get the clippers out!

Samcro · 04/05/2020 20:00

I once did my sons hair with clippers.
His dad had to take him to the barbers to put right.

EthelMayFergus · 04/05/2020 20:05

I think Edward, William and Harry are at the stage where they would look better if they used the clippers on it and had a buzz cut. My hair also grows out instead of down and I currently look a bit mad. It'll be interesting to see who in the public eye has access to hairdressers in a couple of months, it'll be fairly obvious.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 04/05/2020 20:46

The lockdown prediction of which I am most proud is that we would be seeing some interesting coiffure in the coming weeks. I have my eye on a couple of suspects who I think will blink first.

I'm watching Charlie Stayt with interest as he has quite the bouffant at the best of times. Chris Mason has started toying with a parting, and Tomasz Schafernaker is definitely embracing the fringe.

EthelMayFergus · 04/05/2020 20:51

Charlie Stayt Grin! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on his bouffant. I am already slightly suspicious of a few newsreaders/presenters. (And by suspicious I mean jealous.)

WinnieTheW0rm · 04/05/2020 20:51

"I read that H had been attending the RM event for years"

He was appointed Captain General Royal Marines in December 2017.

Even if he had attended the event before, this would only have been his second one in that role.

(And of course it's the only 30th anniversary there will ever be. I can't quite believe that number of years has passed).

Roussette · 04/05/2020 21:08

Charlie Stayt's hair is just getting thicker and thicker and more bouffant!

Luckily DH's hair is short - well it is now lol. Just don't think he was expecting the tufty fringe bit in the front Grin
Sent a pic to the DCs, they said... 'Mum, you do have form for this'... when I used to cut their fringes!

Harry's going bald too isn't he... he needs to cut it right back!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 04/05/2020 21:19

I'm a ginger sympathiser, our hair can be tricky. I suspect H will be wearing a baseball cap pretty much 24/7.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 04/05/2020 22:25

I’m contemplating using the dog’s clippers on dh. He wasn’t keen at first but is beginning to come round to the idea Grin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 04/05/2020 22:52

I've ordered some human clippers @CanIHaveAPenguinPlease! Not letting DH near mine though. I've warned my hairdresser by the time she sees me again she's going to need a strimmerGrin

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 04/05/2020 23:18

Can’t get any human ones at a reasonable price. I’m stalking boots/amazon/Argos so may have to be the dogs ones. Wink

Samcro · 05/05/2020 09:34

totally off topic but I just got bread flour!!!!!!!!!!

Cerseirys · 05/05/2020 09:42

@Samcro there's a corner shop near me that nobody in the area seems to know about and they always have plenty of flour in stock. And our local bakery sells yeast!

mrscampbellblackagain · 05/05/2020 10:02

Yeay samcro! I have managed to get flour all the way through lockdown from local bakeries thankfully.

Samcro · 05/05/2020 10:53

i got yeast a couple of weeks ago. I use a bread maker so it has to be a certain type. I noticed ASDA are now doing bags of ordinary flour from their bakery.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/05/2020 11:28

Going to do an Asda shop tonight so I'll look out for flour. A friend's DH works at our local one and says it's empty between 8 and 10pm. Ours may be unusual though. Most of his colleagues seem to be retired headmasters, burnt out senior executives and divorced ladies working to pay school fees!

Samcro · 05/05/2020 11:36

in ours it was where the flour normaly is.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 05/05/2020 11:47

I was beyond excited a couple of weeks ago when I got bicarbonate- I need it for the bathroom floors which have to be scrubbed instead of mopped.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 05/05/2020 12:02

Another ridiculous article in the Mail again today. Laughable, or it would be if it wasn't so petty.

Roussette · 05/05/2020 12:31

I went to a little shop near me last wk and they had plastic bags of self raising flour straight from the mill, never had it before. I've been looking for flour since lockdown and have made a cake .. so pleased... bread flour next when they have it.

mrscampbellblackagain · 05/05/2020 13:42

I have just ordered a 16kg bag of bread flour Grin

I am making bread a lot now but that should keep me going for a while Wink

Samcro · 05/05/2020 16:16

i got a magazine today (heat or closer) and there is an bit in there from the delightful rock Burrell. seems he thinks Diana wouldn't have got on with Meghan (havn't read it yet)
