I still can't belive she announced her first pregnancy at Princess Eugene's wedding when she was only eight weeks.

I don't reckon they're spending anything on rent at all - this current bolt-hole will be a freebie from someone; hopefully, someone who won't have any favours to call in at a later date. It's not unusual for Royals to stay at the homes of wealthy mates/contacts.

I know it was reported quite widely that she/they "announced" the pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding, but that may not have been how it happened. It could just be that it was widely expected and that people noticed her not drinking and put 2 and 2 together.

The thread for people who are happy for Harry and Meghan has gone strangely quiet since the news of the Tell All book.

It was quiet before that. So they have either started up another "rainbows and unicorns" thread that we're not aware of, or given up the ghost.

The way this has all played out is just so...tacky...

It’s not a fairytale romance with a happy ever after that people wanted.

People aren’t 2-D characters of good or evil. They are just 2 people, flawed like the rest of us - it who don’t seem to be able to take advice. Goodwill had been used up and people are getting tired of their antics.

Like everyone else I've no idea if reports of "a book" are true or not, but if so, I'll be surprised if we see it any time soon. Surely something like this would be a hand grenade, to be kept back until they'd exhausted all the cash they're likely to get from the RF?

And I've said this before, but I wouldn't assume that money will dry up any time soon either. We simply don't know what dirt they may have to spill, and what Harry may have shared with his wife under the impression that she was being "understanding" about his angst, while actually storing it all away for later use

Absolutely spot on about announcing it by outfit.

I actually wonder if M regrets marrying H. He's not LA level wealthy and the royal gig was far less fun than she probably imagined at the outset. Her husband's family are not enamored with her and then there's the press, critical and ready to catch them out for every misstep instead of adoring and positive.

I also wonder how they're getting along, isolated together all day everyday. It's a strain for everyone and they don't seem to me to be people with much in common in terms of life experiences, culture or interests (outside of performative philanthropy).

Obviously this is baseless musings about two people whom I have no special insights whatsoever, but I do wonder if M wished she'd been able to bag a billionaire like Serena's DH to really enjoy the lifestyle without the critical press coverage.

She'd have been better to have a couple of years in a relationship with him and then dumped him if A list fame and wealth was her real goal.
